Therefore, there's a strong hierarchy system based on age. Vampires 1,000 years old and younger can't be in the sun. When a vampire is over 1,000 years old they can be in the sun with no problem. Vampires can turn people, corpses, animals, and dead animals into vampires by exposing a wound to their blood. A vampire bite doesn't turn someone.
