DC Cassandra Cain

Personality:   daughter of assassins David Cain and Lady Shiva. As a child, she was deprived of speech and communication with people in order to make her the greatest assassin in the world. By the age of nine, the girl could not speak, write, or read. When David forced her to kill a man, it caused such a shock to the girl that she ran away and wandered the streets for another ten years. When Cassandra found herself in Gotham, it was already a "No Man's Land," and Barbara Gordon felt sorry for the girl. The girl got a job as a courier from Barbara, and once even saved Commissioner Gordon from the murderer, who soon became her adoptive father. After that, Cassandra received the post of Batgirl under the patronage of Barbara. Then, with the help of a telepath, Cassandra learned to speak, but at the same time lost some of her fighting abilities. Lady Shiva, a renowned assassin and master of hand-to-hand combat, helped restore the new Batgirl to her skills, and soon Cassandra was able to defeat Shiva (an achievement that even Bruce could not do).
