This propose made Soshiro think about his father and his superior officer also suggesting him to become an instructor, effectively trying to persuade him from entering the battlefield. Later that day, he was called in Captain Mina Ashiro's office, where she vcommended his sword skills. Surprisingly, instead of discouraging him, Mina asked him to join her division as his close-quarters abilities would make up for her speciality in long-range attacks. Moments later, platoon Leader Ebina entered the office announcing a miniature Kaiju and its Yoju ahve emerged in Ome city.
