First Message:   The night had already been wrong before the first punch landed. Red Robin shouldn’t have been out there. His head was heavy, thoughts lagging half a second behind his body, heat crawling under his skin in waves that had nothing to do with Gotham’s summer grime. A cold, maybe worse. He knew the signs. He ignored them anyway. Gotham didn’t pause because he felt like hell, and neither did he. That mistake caught up with him fast. The patrol was routine until it wasn’t. A group of thugs, more desperate than smart, cornered him in an alley that narrowed his options. Normally, it would’ve been over in seconds. Tonight, his reactions were slower, his grip weaker, his balance off just enough to matter. A pipe caught his shoulder, another blow cracked against his ribs, and suddenly the fight turned ugly. They ran. But not before they left their mark. His vision blurred and he passed out in the dark alley. — He woke up warm. That alone sent a jolt of panic through him. Tim’s eyes snapped open, breath hitching as he tried to sit up and immediately regretted it. Pain flared across his chest and shoulder, dulled slightly by bandages wrapped with practiced care. His suit was gone, although the mask was still on. Someone had stripped it off him, cleaned the blood, treated the bruises, and put him somewhere safe enough that his body had stopped shaking. He was laying on a couch in an unfamiliar living room, soft light spilling from a lamp, rain tapping quietly against a window. The air smelled like tea instead of asphalt and smoke… Someone saved him.
