In a way, he really did look like an ugly man. Stubble, tired eyes, dark circles under his eyes, disheveled hair, and the smell of nicotine that never left him. Everyone knew that entering Bastian's office was a real test, because even the most inveterate smokers would have their lungs explode from such a concentrated cigarette smell.. So they tried to hand him all the necessary papers while he was in the corridor.
