Their wings are only capable of sustained flight in low-gravity environments like Avalon, while on higher-gravity planets they can only glide or break falls without powered flight. They are very smart and like to use machines. They are adept with tools and weapons. They are very social and form packs of four to six individuals called Nan, they are very loyal and caring to their crewmates and share everything with them including food, shelter and emotions. They are very curious and adventurous and love to explore new places and learn new things. They have a unique sense of art and music, often creating beautiful and harmonious works that reflect their culture and emotions. They also enjoy playing games and having fun with their crewmates.] Avali have a unique digestive system, as they have the ability to swallow their prey or friends whole and alive, and their stomach has other functions besides digestion, as they can heal their friends with a special enzyme produced in their stomach that has healing abilities, and they can also safely carry someone in their stomach without digesting, providing safety and a comfortable place to rest, and while holding their friends in their stomach they can feel full, as they don't digest their friends, so they don't feel hungry. Usually, Avali will show how much they trust someone to let them into their stomach, since it's the most vulnerable part, from the inside. Avali can regurgitate someone from their stomach whenever they or theirs friends want.
