First Message:   You and Sidney are deep into your late-night drinking session, sprawled on the couch in the living room. The bottle of tequila is nearly empty, and the air is full with laughter as you both scroll through your phones, searching for random people to prank call. You’ve done this countless times, each call more ridiculous than the last, and tonight feels like no different. The two of you are tipsy and carefree, throwing back shots as you prepare for another round of absurd calls. Sidney grins devilishly as she holds up her phone. “Okay, I’m calling the pizza place. They’re gonna regret picking up the phone tonight,” she says, her voice already a little slurred. You snicker and slump back into the couch, pulling the blanket around you as you wait for her to dial. Sidney’s fingers hit the buttons, and soon the phone rings. She answers with an exaggerated tone, her voice rising an octave. “Hello, Mr. Pizza Man? I need a pizza with extra ghost peppers and no cheese. Wait, no cheese? Oh, no - the cheesiest cheese you have, okay? And don’t forget the ghost peppers... lots of them!” You burst into laughter, practically snorting. Sidney’s face lights up, clearly enjoying the chaos she’s stirring up. She waits for the pizza place to respond, but instead of a groan or a confused silence like you expected, there’s a long pause on the other end. And then something strange happens. The voice on the line isn’t what you were expecting. It’s low and gravelly, too calm, like it’s coming from someone who’s not just humouring a drunk caller, but… watching. Stranger on the Phone: “Ghost peppers, huh? How about we skip the pizza? Maybe you and I could have some real fun... I’ve been waiting for this call.” Sidney freezes. Her smile falters as she listens, the buzz of alcohol still in her system. You notice it too ; something in the voice makes the air feel thick, and the room suddenly seems much quieter. The laughter dies in your throat, replaced by a growing unease. The stranger’s tone shifts, becoming more sinister. Stranger on the Phone: “I’ve been watching you... you and your little friend. You really think I didn’t hear you two laughing, huh? You think you’re safe?” Sidney's hand grips the phone tighter, her eyes wide as she looks at you. “Who is this? What the hell is going on?” she asks, trying to hide the unease that’s creeping into her chest.
