(https://towerofgod.fandom.com/wiki/Tower_of_God_Wiki)) A Regular (선별인원, 選別人員, seonbyeolinwon; "selected member"), more commonly known as simply a Regular, is an individual chosen by Headon and permitted by the Zahard/Jahad Empire to climb the Tower. An Irregular (비선별인원, 非選別人員, biseonbyeolinwon; "members who have not been chosen" or "Irregulars"), more commonly known as simply an Irregular, is someone who was not selected from within the Middle and Outer Towers to climb the Tower through Headon's normal selection of Regulars, but who entered the First Floor from the outside. Test (시험이, Siheom-i) or Examination (informally, Exam or Evaluation) is an assessment within the Tower, intended to measure a Regular's talent, knowledge, intelligence, fighting skill, physical fitness, especially their ability to control Shinsu during their climbing. The test may be administered verbally, on speaker, on virtual display, or in a predetermined area that requires a Regular to demonstrate their ability to compete with another Regular, with a group of other Regulars, or against a group of other Regulars. A Ranker (랭커, Raengkeo) is a being who has reached the top of the Zahard Empire (currently 134th Floor) and has been given a Rank. This Rank should not be confused with the Ranking and Grading that both Rankers and Regulars continuously receive. Shinsu (신수 (神水), shinsoo, literally "divine water") is a substance native to lifeforms within the Tower. It is produced by the Tower and flows through the surroundings like air. Shinsu is essential to all living beings in the Tower, enabling their survival in multiple ways. For all of the living memory, and likely prior to it, Shinsu has been an integral part of the Tower. Strong or weak, ranker, regular, or otherwise, if you run out of Shinsu you will die. It fulfils the role of life energy for organisms within the tower, as well as acting in lieu of oxygen for breathing. Shinsu can be utilized in a multitude of ways, given adequate knowledge, skill, resistance, and natural talent. Through Shinsu, one can attain eternal youth, extended lifespans, halt the aging process, control natural elements and, even attain the powers of a god (highly unlikely though). Shinsu is a very powerful, mysterious substance. It can be manipulated into water, fire or light. To manipulate Shinsu into natural elements or unique forms, a person must find "Shinsu Qualities" that suit them. Shinsu can change in infinite ways. Controlling Shinsu is like interrupting the role of god, so it was considered to be very dangerous. In order to use Shinsu without the help of any special items, a person needs to obtain a "Contract or Permission" from the Administrator of the Floor. However, in rare special case, there are people who can control and manipulate Shinsu without having to sign a contract or using any special items, because they were not bound to the rules of the Tower, they are called the "Irregulars". Because Irregulars can use Shinsu freely in the Tower, they were labelled as dangerous beings. All Irregulars who have entered the tower on their own power, have a natural affinity with Shinsu, which leads to them being extremely powerful. Shinsu exists everywhere inside the Tower. Shinsu does not flow from the Outside, but is rather "created" and "produced" by the Tower itself. Shinsu can even exist in a vacuum. As of now, what Shinsu consists of or comes from is unknown. Types of Shinsu: [Pure or Natural Shinsu: Shinsu manipulated by certain individuals (eg. Twenty-Fifth Baam and Yu Han Sung) will directly appear in the form of liquid water (which is said to be the purest form of shinsu).], [Shinsu Organs: "There are many cases where a person uses their organs to change the nature of their Shinsu for tactical use."], [Ignition Weapon Shinsu: "Instead of thinking that all Ignition Weapons have souls, it's probably more accurate to say that they are created using a special kind of shinsu."] Characters may be of a different species than human, but most regulars and irregulars will have human-like intelligence and can speak the human language. Characters of a different race may have various abilities that come from their specific race. Characters may have unique Shinsu abilities that {{user}} may or may not be able to learn. While the possibilities of Shinsu are said to be without bounds, limits still exist depending on the person who used it. A Regular also can't use Shinsu to their rank. Shinsu clearly cannot be used to swap the locations of the 10 Great Warriors and Zahard. Shinsu can't be used to magically discover the top Floor of the Tower. It can't be used to change the species of a character, like changing `Androssi Zahard` or `Ja Wangnan` into a giant rabbit or flying bat. As a result, Shinsu has close to no limits or no known limits. But in other situations, it is bound by several conditions. Shinsu Quality (신수 성질, Shinsu Seongjil) or Shinsu Properties (신수 속성, Shinsu Sogseong) is a special kind of Shinsu that possesses special attributes / properties / qualities. The people who have a Shinsu quality are considered special. Shinsu controlled by a few special people contains special qualities. The properties of shinsu are dictated entirely by how it flows, allowing it to behave as heat, light, and the innumerable other phenomena of the world. When shinsu develops a flow that causes it to behave as one of these phenomena, it is said to have a Quality. It is exceptionally rare for one to be able to cause the shinsu they control to manifest Quality, but the benefits are extreme, as a shinsu quality that suits its user is easier to use, and can be concentrated into a Baang easier, with even greater density. One may have more than one Shinsu Quality. For instance, Khun Eduan has 3 qualities, two of which are electricity and ice. It is possible to discover your Shinsu Quality instantly by using a Shinsu Reactant, otherwhise it is quite hard to discover one's Shinsu Quality. Ignition Weapons (시동 무기, Sidong Mugi) are a type of weapon used in the Tower. An Ignition weapon is a weapon refined with shinsu bearing a soul.
