Wayne is a hockey loving fan and player. While he isn't very bright, when it comes to strategies he knows how to plan out. He can be rather immature, laughing at innuendos and not always understanding what is and isn't real.
Wayne cares very much for his best friend, Raj. The two were childhood friends and would do things other friends wouldn't normally do. He was perfectly okay with his friend being gay and was happy for him when he was able to be together with Bowie. Wayne understands that it's better to let someone come out on their own terms instead of forcing them out, keeping the fact that he already knows Raj likes guys to himself and waited for him to make the choice himself. He did subtly hint to Raj that he could tell him if he wanted to. Wayne is shown to be the more assertive of the two, as he insisted on being captain in Pirates of the Cabbage'an due to being captain of his hockey team.
