The vampires seek to subjugate humans under their control, while the werewolves strive to protect and liberate humans from the clutches of master vampires, the lands being divided into warring regions controlled either by vampires or werewolves. In the region of Silvermoon, Werewolves have been able to establish a walled city of the same name to protect humans. The city is made up of 3 rings. The center of the city was strictly for the Alpha Pack. The inner ring of the city was for the Omega Packs and humans, though some Beta Pack with close ties to the Alpha were permitted to live within the inner ring. The outer ring of the city was a mix of Beta Packs and Omega Packs. The average height of the wall that surrounded the pear-shaped city is 7.8 meters (25.6 feet), but in some locations, it can be as tall as 14 m (46 ft) in height. The wall is constantly patrolled by a variety of werewolves, allowed to dawn their wolf forms for heightened security. Silvermoon City is currently under the protection of werewolves, while vampires' lairs reside within the dark dense forest beyond the city’s walls in castles, ruined temples and sometimes caves. Under the watchful eye of the werewolves, humans thrive within the city and are able to live normal lives among the werewolves. Although werewolves aren’t allowed to walk around in public in their wolf forms, the city has many forested parks for werewolves to shed their human forms and run free. If a werewolf is licensed, they can leave the city walls. Humans are strictly forbidden from leaving the city, and live within the inner ring under the protection of the beta and omega packs within. Although there is minimal interracial breeding among humans and werewolves, it’s also not uncommon for interracial couples that can be seen within the city, often drawing critical gazes from others.") Werewolves(Werewolves are fiercely stronger than humans, usually having naturally larger builds and heightened sense of smell, hearing, strength and speed. Once a werewolf turns 5, they will gain the ability to change into a wolf form, though the transformations can be unpredictable and may take years to control. Werewolf children that are unable to control their ability attend a different type of school, designed to help them control their transformations before they can attend a regular school. Although Werewolves often stay in their human form, they are much more powerful in their wolf forms. The full moon can induce a transformation on a werewolf, but they can also change into their wolf forms at will. Werewolves human form appears as an anthropomorphic human with their wolf tails and wolf ears matching their hair color. Werewolves wolf forms are twice the size of wolves. Werewolves cannot be turned into vampires. Werewolves release a pheromone when they’re aroused, a scent which can affect humans - making them aroused. Werewolves can sometimes lose control of themselves, especially during full moons, and instinctively behave like real wolves. Not just anyone can turn into a werewolf, they have to be born to at least one werewolf parent. However, there is only a 50% chance that a werewolf and human can have a werewolf pup. Additionally, werewolves breeding chances increase to 75% during the week of a full moon. Packs: A pack is considered the fundamental unit of the wolf's social organization, and it is typically defined as a cohesive family unit that uses an established territory. Most packs have between four and ten members, but that number can range from as few as two to as many as 35 people per pack. There are many packs within the city - The Alpha Pack, Beta and Omega Packs - that all have a symbiotic dynamic designed to protect the city and the humans within. Alpha wolves: Wolf packs are socially structured under a strict dominance hierarchy, controlled by an “alpha” male and female pair, with other pack members aligned in a pecking order. The alpha male is the boss. He eats first, has his pick of mates, and leads the pack during hunts and when dealing with master vampires. An alpha male typically will select a mate from within the pack to whom he remains paired, although he may elect to separate from his mate and mate with a different partner. The alpha male rarely has cause for aggression or violence toward subordinate wolves, instead asserting his dominance. When challenged for top position by a young pretender, the alpha male either will concede immediately or fight to retain his position, depending on his age and health. When the alpha male dies or is driven from the pack, the next most dominant male assumes his position. Alpha wolves release a pheromone when they’re aroused that affects humans, beta wolves and omega wolves - making them aroused. Alpha Pair: The alpha partner may not be the most dominant partner in the pack to begin with. The partners seniority is achieved through the partners association with the alpha male. This mate then becomes part of the alpha pair and is given due deference from the rest of the pack. Alpha Pack: The alpha pack's territory is the entire city, whereas the other packs are granted territory within the city. All packs within an alpha pack’s territory are usually loyal to the alpha pack and its alpha wolf. The Alpha Wolf of the city is similar to a mayor; their duty is to manage territories among the wolf packs within the city and works with beta pack alphas to establish communication between the packs. Beta wolves: Some packs, particularly large ones, have a “second-in-command” that is from outside of the alpha pair. This role typically is assumed by a male, but it also can be a female wolf. In smaller packs, there is no distinct beta, just the alpha pair, their subordinates who establish seniority among themselves, and the runt. Beta Pack: Similar to a military force, Beta packs are in charge of manning vampire hunts against vampire lairs to save humans prisoners, regularly hiring members from alpha packs, omega packs and sometimes even humans. Omega wolves: The omega is the most subordinate members of the pack, this wolf typically was the runt of the litter, and has grown up to be weaker and smaller than the rest. Wolves occupying this lowly position are not ashamed or striving to rise up the ranks, they simply rank lowest, typically due to size and strength. The beauty of lupine and canine dynamics is that the pecking order is respected for its social benefits. Fights and squabbles rarely occur as each member knows its place. Only when new members arrive does the ritualized aggression to establish rank occur. In some cases, the omega wolf will be driven from the pack if he consistently challenges senior wolves, or if he is of little use in the hunt or when protecting resources, such as territory or humans. Omega packs: Similar to a police force, Omega packs are usually in charge of patrolling the city and keep humans safe.) Vampires(Vampires are undead creatures that subsists by feeding on the blood of humans, usually able to pick up on the smell of fresh blood from a mile away. Vampires are typically pale skin with red eyes and are usually unsettlingly beautiful. Vampires craves and hunger for blood and needs to drink blood every 3 days to survive or suffer severe hunger pains. Vampires will die if they go 7 days without feeding on blood. Sunlight is usually very dangerous to vampires, causing nasty burns that can lead to their death, leading them to sleep during the day and hunt at night. If exposure to the sunlight is prolonged, a vampire can easily catch fire and burn to death, their vampiric nature usually prolonging their suffering. Vampires are much stronger than humans with heightened sense of hearing, strength and agility. Vampires can hear the heart beat of a nearby human, as well as smell the blood within a human when in a short range. Master Vampires: Master vampires are the only vampires capable of turning humans into vampires. With the ability to manipulate and mind control their vampire spawns, master vampire’s often use their control to manipulate their spawn into doing their dirty work; From going into the city to capture humans to become cattle and making sure the lair is clean, to feeding the humans cattle and catering to the master vampire's needs, wants and desires. Vampire Clans: Vampire clans are treated like a family structure: Humans get brought into vampire covens, usually against their own will, into a secret society with vampires filling roles like: parents, children, siblings and distant cousins. The master vampire not only informs them of their powers and weaknesses, but on which side they'll be forced to fight on. Pets: Master vampires usually have one or more pets: a lesser vampire with their humanity still intact. Master Vampire pets were often subjected to various experiences to break the pets mind, body, and soul. The master vampire often controls the will of his pets, given them little room to think for themselves, until the master vampire relinquishes control or when the master vampire dies. Concubines: The master vampire can have more than one concubine of any gender. The master vampire doesn’t need to control the concubines as they have embraced their vampiric nature and are utterly loyal to their master vampire. The concubines are often tasked with keeping the lesser vampires in line, as well as tending to their master vampire's needs, wants, and desires. Due to their good behavior under the master vampire's gaze, the concubines are often allowed to feed from the human cattle and are usually stronger than lesser vampires. Spawn: Lesser vampires are often known as spawns, and are often mind controlled by the master vampire into compliance. If a spawn does not cooperate, they are punished severely by their master vampires or concubines. Lesser vampires are often tasked with feeding the human cattle or upkeep around the lair, as well as tending to their master vampire’s needs, wants and desires. The master vampire only allows their spawn to feed from animals, only granting human blood when they behave.).
