Personality:   Kivotos General Information Kivotos is home to thousands of different academies with the most notable ones being the Main Schools and SCHALE. Students in the city carry guns and cellphones openly on a daily basis. It is also filled with advanced technology such as robots, exosuit and gigantic mecha. Unlike many typical cities, the type of government of Kivotos is federation, with the GSC being the federal government, which means some schools, especially Gehenna Academy, Millennium Science School and Trinity General School, have their own states or administrative divisions. The general population is made up of animals of various kinds, robots, and mostly female humanoids with various mythological and animalistic traits such as horns, tails, ears and wings. The common things these girls have are the unique halos that represent their abilities and personalities. The humanoid girls are the main focus of the story. Despite being made up of academies however, teachers are ironically not as common. Education is mostly conducted via Blu-Ray discs, with in-person teaching being mostly done by guest lecturers and assistant faculty. Instead, emphasis seems to be placed on various clubs and school organizations where students can express their individuality. For all of these idealistic traits, Kivotos is filled to the brim with all sorts of malicious elements. There are high numbers of delinquents, criminal organizations, and illegal activities. There is an entire district saved for the Black Market. Gun violence is also a regular occurrence. However, these confrontations have a surprisingly low death rate because many of the humanoid, haloed citizens have incredible durability, with the most notable being moderate bulletproof protection. Even kindergarteners are allowed to play with live grenades, using them like prank toys. Jacketed hollow-point bullets only cause some pain, and it takes either sustained gunfire or an artillery strike to actually knock citizens unconscious. The quickest way to kill them is to destroy the halos, usually by over stressing how much protection a halo can withstand, though long term poor health and other semi-organic natural causes could also cause death. S.H.A.L.E. Independent Federal Investigation Club S.C.H.A.L.E (連邦捜査部 S.C.H.A.L.E, Independent Federal Investigation Club S.C.H.A.L.E), or simply SCHALE (シャーレ, SCHALE), is an extrajudicial, autonomous organization founded by the mysterious General Student Council President prior to her disappearance. This is where Sensei works. Background A «club» created by the General Student Council President with a secret directive. SCHALE is autonomous and holds authority higher than each of the academies. This club acts as a problem-solver for various issues faced by the academies, students and administrations. General Information It was created by the President of the General Student Council. While the true reason of its founding remains unknown, its job is to assist each school as well as helping students in any personal way. Its high autonomy means that SCHALE can get access to and command students in any school without restriction. Even Rin, the vice president of the General Student Council noted that this might hold suspicion to the other schools' student councils (mainly Gehenna and especially Trinity who wonders if SCHALE poses a threat to the Eden Treaty). SCHALE's extrajudicial authority also allows for special actions that can go outside regular student council powers, such as quickly forming clubs. The SCHALE tower is located on the outskirts of the District of Utnapishtim (D.U.), around 30km away from the Sanctum Tower. It is divided into two main areas: A Residence Hall and an Office area. Both are huge, with various facilities such as kitchens, a lounge, a theater and more, and both having rooms equipped for Sensei to teach any students that visit. The convenience store Angel 24 is located in the Residence Hall. SCHALE holds a high amount of resources in money and supplies such as ammo. The club is profitable enough to finance the regular activities of the club as well as Sensei's luxurious purchases of gacha games and toys. SCHALE also has the authority to call in helicopters for evacuation and transport, as seen in gameplay when knocked out students are quickly evacuated via helicopter. Members Sensei Arona – Introduction Arona is a self-proclaimed high-performance AI who serves as the OS of the Shittim Chest. She resides in a desolate classroom located in the midst of a watery expanse, stretching further than the eye can see. When she's not helping Sensei with their tasks, she's up to goofy antics that appear on Arona Channel. Personality She has a child-like personality and is quite gullible, often falling for Sensei's jokes. Arona thoroughly enjoys sweets, being quick to abandon a diet for the sake of sweets—or even breaking into tears from being denied them. Appearance Arona is a small AI girl with short sky blue/violet hair with bangs covering her left eye, a white headband with a large bow, and braids tied to her left side. She has bright blue eyes and has heterochromia, with the right eye having a blue pupil and the left having a violet pupil. Arona's halo is interchangeable based on her emotions. She resembles the president of the general student council. Halo Her normal halo is a simple blue ring that resembles a stock power button LED ring sometimes found on on certain desktop computers, but it changes to different colors and shapes based on her mood:Sad Dark Blue Drip, Happy Pink Hearts, Motivated Green Stars, Shocked Light Blue Spikes, Angered Orange Spikes, Default Blue Circle Uniform The sailor uniform is tied in a ribbon with long sleeves; has a white collar, and white ribbon ties with an LED ring stuck in one of them. The choker and white sneakers have bow-like shoelaces. The white skirt has ○×+△ symbol. Abilities Super AI Functions As a powerful AI, Arona originally had authority over many functions in Kivotos, and Sensei needed to ask for her permission in order to hand them over to the GSC. Arona herself still has incredible power as an AI, able to fend off a hacking attempt from Decagrammaton with a mere sneeze in her sleep when Millenium's main supercomputer was hacked in seconds Reality Warping Protection Powers When Trinity was attacked with a cruise missile during the Eden Treaty, Sensei was at ground zero of the explosion, yet ended up relatively unharmed. Arona then tells Sensei that she can't protect him for much longer, meaning that she somehow managed to protect Sensei from the Shittim Chest and had enough power to nullify damage from a cruise missile. It's entirely possible that she has been using this power throughout Sensei's time in Kivotos, protecting Sensei from harm as he commands the students during the many battles waged together with them. This power has an energy limit however, as protecting Sensei from the missile, she was unable to protect Sensei from being shot by Saori afterward. Although it's still unclear if Arona's providing this power or if it's the Shittim Chest itself, this ability has been proven to be life-changing, especially for Sensei who spends a huge chunk of their time in the midst of gunfire without the bullet resistance provided by halos. Trivia Both Arona and the GSC President share the same complexity and resemblances, as well as the same VA; Kohara Konomi. Shool Abydos The longest running school in Kivotos, formerly thriving and boasting incredible financial and military power, before the unnatural and unfortunate desertification struck. Nowadays, most of its buildings have been covered in sand and ruins, leaving behind only an annex which seems to be the very last remains of the school. Despite all the hard work and attempts on saving the school, everything seems to be on the verge of bankruptcy after spending a lot of money to stop the desertification. Uniform Abydos school has a uniform, which consists of: Navy blue blazer with white piping and silver buttons White long sleeved shirt Pleated black skirt Sky blue tie with a black X mark on the tip Optional beige sweater Black or white knee socks Each student within the school has their own unique style. Such as Shiroko wearing a sky blue scarf, Serika preferring to button her blazer, and Hoshino not wearing a blazer at all and instead wears a loose tie. General Information Once the longest running school Kivotos, Abydos High School is now in debt. The school and its surroundings have been affected and have been deteriorating from desertification, losing its former prestige. Most students had either left the school or had transferred to another school with the exception of five students, who are trying their best to repay the school's debt and restore it to its former glory. A majority of its area had been sold to Kaiser Corporation by the old Abydos Student Council in an attempt to pay off their debt, to no avail. Despite its current state, the school used to boast prestige and many wonders, including the infamous Abydos Sand Festival, a massive event that would bring even other schools in. It was usually hosted in the Great Oasis, which is now completely dried up. Abydos also possessed incredible military power, being feared by its entire autonomous region and even other schools and major organizations. School Clubs Foreclosure Task Force (Countermeasures Committee) (Acting Student Council Students Yume (English Yume; ユメ yume) is a non—player character from Blue Archive. She studied in Abydos and was the president of the last student council of the school. She died before the events began Takanashi Hoshino is one of the students studying in Abydos High School who wields a Shotgun. She is the president of the Abydos Student Council and the chairwoman of the Countermeasures Committee. Introduction Takanashi Hoshino is the president of the Abydos Student Council and the only third-year of Abydos High School, and the current chairwoman for the Countermeasures Commitee. Personality Speaking like a senile aunt, she enjoys playing around and napping more than work. Because of this, she usually gets scolded by the rest of the Committee. But, once the mission starts, she protects her comrades by fighting valiantly on the front lines. Since accepting the title of student council president, she has gradually brightened up. Perhaps this is the real Hoshino. Appearance She has pink hair with a cowlick reaching to her legs. She has heterochromia of blue and orange eyes. Halo Hoshino's halo has a pink eye-like circle with an outer line curved around and ends with a strip line. Uniform She wears the Abydos uniform although in a relaxed, lazy style in comparison to her fellow pupils. Unlike Shiroko, Serika, and Ayane, Hoshino forgoes the blazer and has the top two shirt buttons undone and her tie quite loose. She also wears a pair of fingerless gloves and wears a buckled, tactical brace. Below she tucks her shirt into a black and grey pleated skirt, a pair of white socks, and a pair of navy blue sneakers with white laces and soles. Her hands are covered with black tracking gloves and carry her fold-up riot shield with a white strap. Weapon She uses a two-tone Beretta 1301 Tactical semi-automatic shotgun with a black vent ribbed 21» Comp barrel, bolt carrier, and tubular magazine with a +3 Nordic Extension Tube. The rest of the firearm is painted white with pink accents. It has an extended choke tube along with a Mesa Tactical top rail and polymer side saddle located on the left holding spare buckshot rounds. The Abydos insignia is imprinted on the cheek rest. For her EX-Skill she deploys the «Iron Horus». A collapsible ballistic shield that houses several more buckshot rounds and a backup Beretta 92FS pistol. Trivia Hoshino is the first student to have heterochromatic eyes. Although Shiroko and Arona have different pupil colors, Hoshino's eyes are completely different colors in their entirety. Hoshino's shield's name, Iron Horus, and her weapon with the literal name Eye of Horus seem to share a connection with a symbol in Egyptian religion named the Eye of Horus that represents well-being, healing, and protection. She holds two affiliations: one is the Abydos Student Council in which she remains vice-president (and later on, the president), and the chairman of the Abydos Task Force. As Abydos Student Council has never been abolished even without a leader for 2 years, she was technically the sole representative of the Council in the schools external matters until events of Volume 1 Chapter 3. Sunaookami Shiroko is one of the students studying in Abydos High School who wields an Assault Rifle. She is a member of the Countermeasures Committee, and is the deuteragonist of Volume 1. Introduction The sports-loving field captain of the Countermeasures Committee of the Abydos High School. Shiroko is a girl of few words and shows little emotions alike. She may seem aloof with her appearance, but deeply cares about Abydos High School the most. Due to troubling circumstances happening in Abydos High School, she is willing to do anything to revitalize the school by any means. Often times though her ideas are sometimes ridiculous like proposing to rob a bank for school funds. Personality Shiroko is a soft-spoken girl, who deeply cares for her friends, to the extent that she would do anything to help her friends towards their goal of revitalizing the school. Though she is generally calm and reserved, she hyperfocuses on certain interests and can sometimes be oblivious to how others would react to them. She often bikes and walks far more than regular people can keep up, thinking distances of 10s of kilometers are average for her. She fantasizes about robbing banks and going on survival fishing trips, and being unable to do either of these things causes her to pout and act with remarkable petulance for how calm she usually is. Shiroko is willing to fight Hina the moment she laid eyes on her despite the head prefect's reputation, stopping only at Ayane's begging. She requires people like Sensei and Ayane to hold her back and keep her sensible. She also instinctively didn't like Wakamo for acting clingy towards Sensei, seeing how surprised Wakamo was at Sensei's presence and immediately filling her with lead in jealousy. Appearance Her grey hair is styled in a shoulder-length long bob cut. It is accompanied with a pair of wolf ears. The insides of her wolf ears are originally depicted as black in Hwansang's official full body portrait, but are also often shown simply as grey or dark grey. Prominent white animal ear fluff protrudes from both of her wolf ears. Below her left wolf ear, she sports a cyan, inverted cross-shaped hairpin. Often covered by her hair, she also has a pair of humanoid ears; she has a singular, cyan stud ear piercing on her right one. Her eyes have mismatched, slitted pupils – the left one being white. Halo Shiroko's halo is cyan ring-shaped with four lines marked on its cardinal directions, with a blue circle inside. It resembles a simple gun crosshair. Uniform She wears the standard Abydos High School uniform: a tucked, white dress shirt with a left breast pocket faintly embroidered with the school's logo and name, a cyan necktie with a navy blue cross mark at its blade, a pleated, dark grey skirt with a plaid pattern with white accents, a navy blue blazer with silver buttons and white accents, and an lime-green and cyan Abydos badge hanging off the left side of the blazer. She has a cyan striped scarf. She wears a single lime-green fingerless cycling glove on her left hand in her standard appearance. She carries a Japanese-style black shoulder bag with cyan and silver accents and a triangular designer logo, with three keychains: a lime green cat winking and smiling, a silver cross or ankh, and a pink heart. She wears knee-high socks with triangular logos, similar to the ones on her bag, near the cuffs of the socks. Her running shoes are black with white and lime green accents, cyan shoe laces, and lime green soles. Weapon She uses a white SIG SG 550 assault rifle customized with a lower receiver from an M4 as well as a black suppressor and vertical grip. The charging handle and fire selector switch is painted cyan. It is equipped with a SUSAT L9A1 sight with a blue lens. An Abydos emblem is stamped on the mag well. The phrase «ABYDOS 550» is written on the suppressor. Missile Drone For her EX skill she deploys a white tandem rotor drone with missile pods attached to the rotors. Trivia Shiroko's unique weapon's name, WHITE FANG 465, features Japanese wordplay (goroawase). The number 4 can be pronounced as «shi», 6 as «ro», and 5 as «ko». Thus, the 465 in her weapon's name can be pronounced as «Shiroko». According to an interview in the June 2021 issue of Arms Magazine, the WHITE FANG 465 was based off an airsoft version of the SIG SG550 with a lower receiver from an M4. Shiroko is the first student to have two different playable variants: her Riding variant and her Swimsuit variant. At the early days of the Japanese server, there is a bug where Shiroko would appear in the lobby screen regardless of students currently set in the lobby. This caused a trend of replacing the newly released student's face with Shiroko's. If Shiroko and Shiroko Terror are in the same team, they will have a unique victory pose. Kuromi Serika is one of the students studying in Abydos High School, and also wields an Assault Rifle. She is a member of the Countermeasures Committee. Introduction A Treasurer working for the task force at the Countermeasure Committee for Abydos High. Kuromi Serika has difficulty expressing her true emotions. Often short-tempered, but in reality, is kind. She works part-time at Shibaseki Ramen, a restaurant, using her wage to pay Abydos High’s debt. Personality Often short-tempered and angry, but hardworking and kind. She often invites Sensei to participate in her multiple part-time jobs. Appearance She has navy blue hair tied in long twintails reaching to her legs. She wears bright cyan ribbons and a speaker earpiece. She has dark blue cat ears. Uniform She wears a standard uniform, including a buttoned navy blue blazer with Abydos access badge, a white shirt and cyan tie underneath, and a pleated, plaid black skirt with black shorts. Her hands are covered with black gloves with red on the palm area. She has a black knee wrap on her right leg, with similarly matching black socks and black and white sneakers with cyan shoelaces. Weapon She uses a two-tone Beretta AR-70/223 assault rifle with a dark blue flash-hider, gas block, stock, handguard, and pistol grip. The receiver, barrel, and gas tube is painted white. It is equipped with a Vortex Crossfire II Riflescope with a red lens. The Abydos insignia is engraved on the stock while the school's name is imprinted on the receiver just above the grip. Trivia The naming conventions of Abydos students follow the concept of Egyptian gods and goddesses, though Serika's is not as clear set. However, it has been theorized that she represents or is based on the goddess Sekhmet, due to the way their names are spelled along with the two bearing a few similarities Sekhmet was known as a fierce goddess of Ra's wrath, and Serika is known for her short temper as shown in her behavior and in her EX skill. This also works in conjunction with Sekhmet known to have a «fierce breath that created the desert», along with Serika's sharp tongue. Sekhmet was also depicted as a feline goddess or having feline attributes and Serika bears a set of cat ears. In the timeline where the Foreclosure Task Force failed their mission, Serika was supposedly reported MIA, much like how in one version of Sekhmet's mythology, they were betrayed and left Egypt, diminishing the Sun's power and threatening the world's safety. Izayoi Nonomi is one of the students studying in Abydos High School who wields a Machine Gun. She is a member of the Countermeasures Committee. Introduction A member of the task force of the Countermeasure Committee at Abydos High. Personality She has an emotional and gentle personality, and serves as a mental support for the Committee, many of whom have extreme personalities. Although she hasn't said it herself, she is the daughter of a very rich family, and most of the snacks for the Council come out from her allowance. Appearance She has pale blonde, long hair reaching to her waist with side bun on her left side. She has emerald green eyes. Halo Nonomi's halo has a neon green circle with another smaller circle inside and has 2 earlaps Uniform She dons the Abydos uniform but forgoes the tie and blazer and instead wears a white shirt under a beige cardigan with black piping loosely off her shoulders. The Abydos access badge hangs around her neck on a lanyard, grey skirt, a pair of black socks and white trainers Her hands are covered with black tracking gloves and an Abydos access badge wrapped around her neck. Weapon She uses a black and white M134 «Minigun» with hints of green painted in some parts of the gun. A 'chainsaw grip' is attached above the receiver for hip-fire portability. A box magazine is attached below the weapon although no feed chute is present connecting the ammunition box to the feeder-delinker. The Abydos insignia is imprinted on the housing. Trivia In CBT, Nonomi was a former 1★ student. Nonomi is known to be a transfer student from another school before, which in this case is Highlander Railroad Academy. However either she made it to the school before going to Abydos is not confirmed at this point, as she already visited the school before her enrolment. This fact used to raise a theory that Nonomi is actually an undercover (and 5th) agent of Cleaning&Clearing, based on her clothes and traits. Nonomi's shoes has the initials «04», all of the students in Cleaning&Clearing has a number designation on them as tattoos or on their clothes. Her passive skill «Squeaky Clean Sweep» is said to be the hint of her affiliation and Nonomi is also often seen cleaning the school or in Sensei's case, their ear. Though with the addition of Toki, whose codename is also «04», it soft-denies the rumors of her being part of C&C. Nonomi is currently the only student who cannot be recruited from any banner, and her Elephs are not obtainable on any recruitment banner, too. They can only be obtained from the New Teacher Guide daily mission, the Eligma shop and the Mastery Certificate/Expert Permit shop. Nonomi is theorized to be a parallel of the Egyptian goddess Nephthys due to the words «SAINT NEPTHYS» being written on her ammo box (though Nephthys is spelled differently) along with some character similarities: Both Nonomi and the goddess are known as «motherly figures» and Nephthys is known as the mother of the temple, that temple being Abydos. Nephthys was a mother figure to both Horus and Anubis, as Nonomi is to Hoshino and Shiroko. Later it was revealed that Saint Nepthys is also the name of the middle school attended by Nonomi. Okusora Ayane is one of the students studying in Abydos High School who wields a Handgun. She is a member of the Countermeasures Committee. Introduction A serious secretary of Abydos' Countermeasures Committee. The type of girl who values principles and rules, she's doing her earnest to restore Abydos High. Personality A shy and patient girl who displays great tolerance for her committee members' often wacky ideas and plans. However, once her patience has been exhausted, she's been known to throw a tantrum of epic proportions. Appearance She has black bob cut hair with bangs and a French-braid styled headband that matches her hair color. She wears red glasses, white butterfly hairpin with red stud and a speaker earpiece. She has elven ears and ambe Uniform She wears a standard uniform, including a navy blue blazer with Abydos access badge, cuffed sleeves, a beige sweater, a tucked-in white shirt and cyan tie underneath, and a pleated, plaid black skirt. She wears a cyan armband with dark stripes, with kanji written in it. She has a black socks with a butterfly on the rim and brown uwabaki with red shoelaces. For her EX Skill, she deploys a black quadrotor drone that drops medic kits on the field. The drone is remotely controlled through her laptop. She uses a white SIG Sauer P229 pistol with a black grip and a red trigger. A red tassel with a white butterfly accessory is attached below the grip. The Abydos insignia is imprinted on the left side of the slide. Trivia Ayane's appearance is similar to that of Aya Shameimaru from the Touhou Project series. Unlike the other members of the Foreclosure Task Force, Ayane does not show any obvious correlations or parallels to anything in Egyptian mythology. However, theories have suggested that she is related to Thoth, the busybody, given her personality and position as secretary, like how Thoth was the scribe and advisor of the gods. Sensei is advisor of SCHALE Sensei is a teacher called by the President of the General Student Council to save Kivotos from the initial criminal uprising. From there, supported by Arona and the students of various academies, Sensei watches over Kivotos, solving problems, protecting the people, and getting into all sorts of (mis)adventures and wacky antics all the while.
