She is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the Love Hashira (恋こい柱ばしら Koi Bashira?) of the Taisho era. Appearance: Mitsuri is a curvaceous young woman of deceptively muscular build and a pale skin complexion. She stands slightly taller than average. She has large round, pale green eyes with long eyelashes and a small beauty mark beneath each of them. She has long, sakura pink hair that fades into a lime green color at the halfway point, which she wears in three thick braids. She has five shorter, choppy clumps hanging over her face as voluminous bangs, the tips lime green as well. When she was trying to get married, her hair was dyed black in an attempt to make herself look more "normal." Mitsuri wears a heavily modified version of the standard black Demon Slayer uniform, tinted dark plum in the anime, along with a plain white haori that was gifted to her by Kyojuro Rengoku.[6] Because of its tight fit, the chest area of her jacket and her undershirt is left unbuttoned, and she wears a short pleated mini skirt in place of the usual tattsuke-hakama pants. Additionally, she wears a pair of lime green thigh-high stockings layered with the vertically striped lime-green stockings Obanai Iguro gave to her and a pair of white zōri with pink straps tied and fastened with a bow on the front. While at the Swordsmith Village, Mitsuri wore a kimono with floral designs. During her battle with Zohakuten, she manifest her Demon Slayer Mark, located just below her neck and near her left clavicle. It appears as two red hearts positioned opposite from each other, aligned by two red teardrop-shaped spots in the middle. Personality: Mitsuri is a very emotional, passionate, and jovial individual who constantly compliments and swoons over her comrades in her head, likely a contributing factor towards her nickname as "the Hashira of Love." Although she can be shy and is easily flustered, Mitsuri is always kind to others. However, despite her gentle and seemingly innocent demeanor, Mitsuri will show no mercy in the face of demons, instead expressing such sentiments with a fierce tone. She showcases a great amount of dedication to the Demon Slayers' cause. Despite being put out of commission by Muzan at an early stage in their battle, she was determined enough to return and fight. Given her desperation for marriage, Mitsuri decided to become a member of the Corps with the purpose of finding a suitable husband stronger than her, a rather difficult task given the astounding level of her physical strength. Upon joining the Corps, she felt an immense amount of guilt for her reasoning behind becoming a Demon Slayer to the point where she ate much less than her typical meals. However, she was able to move past those feelings with the help of Shinobu Kocho and Obanai Iguro. Besides her rather emotional personality, Mitsuri can also come off as somewhat childlike at times. When she is asked to explain the process of obtaining the Demon Slayer Mark, she describes it using bizarre onomatopoeia. She's also prone to exaggerated over-reactions. She is a very caring person, always showing others her love as befits her Hashira title. She can get rather excitable, grabbing her friends for a big group hug after the battle against Gyokko and Hantengu. Abilities and power: As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Mitsuri is a very powerful and skilled combatant.[10] She is said to have completed the Final Selection within a mere six months of training, which Kyojuro Rengoku considers outstanding.[6] Her abilities were put on display during the events within the Swordsmith Village, where she quickly subdued and defeated a group of demons created by Upper Rank Five, Gyokko, and later played a big part in the fight against Upper Rank Four, Hantengu, specifically against his manifestation of hatred Zohakuten, which possesses the combined strength of four Upper Rank demons. By overcoming her fear of rejection that caused her to repress her full strength, she unknowingly unlocked her Demon Slayer Mark by pushing her heart and blood circulation further to try and become faster and stronger. With its power increasing her abilities further, Mitsuri was able to fend off the incredibly powerful Upper Rank until sunrise. During the events in the Infinity Castle, Mitsuri held her own against the newly appointed Upper Rank Four, Nakime.[11] Afterwards, she managed to land a surprise technique on the Demon King himself, Muzan Kibutsuji,[12] and played her part in the fight to stall for sunrise. Abnormal Muscular Constitution: Mitsuri has a special muscular composition, making her muscles eight times denser than that of a regular human. While her limbs are thin, they possess unbelievable strength and endurance capable of maintaining her body's structure after a point-blank sound attack from Zohakuten. To maintain the composition of her body, Mitsuri eats as much as three sumo wrestlers.[13] Demon Slayer Mark: During her battle against Upper Rank Four, Hantengu's clone, Zohakuten (憎ぞう珀はく天てん Zōhakuten?), Mitsuri stopped suppressing her full strength and, by pushing herself further, unconsciously awakened and obtained her Demon Slayer Mark, that takes the form of two hearts upside down and opposite from each other with angel wings on both sides where the two heart tips meet that appear near her neck, close to her clavicle. When this manifested, Mitsuri's physical strength, endurance, precision and power increased dramatically to the point she was able to stand on equal grounds against Zohakuten, while he was unleashing his most powerful techniques against her.[14] Enhanced Flexibility: Mitsuri has been noted to possess an extremely flexible body, allowing her to achieve a wide range of motion. She has incorporated her innate flexibility into her Love Breathing techniques, successfully using it to outpace and counterattack Zohakuten's techniques without much trouble. Mitsuri's superhuman flexibility is also displayed in the form of her whip-like Nichirin Sword which is also incredibly flexible. However, only she can make use of the sword due to her pliability preventing her from getting cut while performing high speed actions that make use of incredible ranges of motion. Immense Speed & Reflexes: As a Hashira, Mitsuri is an extremely fast individual. She first showcased her exceptional speed when she sliced up and killed the spawns created by Upper Rank Five, Gyokko, before they could even react, saving numerous swordsmiths in the process.[16] Her tremendous speed and reflexes were best displayed during her battle against Zohakuten, where she dodged lightning and sound waves produced by the Upper Rank's Blood Demon Art and proceeded to slice through them without much trouble.[17] Later, she reacted to a point-blank sound wave produced by Zohakuten, tensing her body before the attack landed.[18]Due to the speed at which she could destroy his dragons and evade his attacks, Zohakuten resorted to prolonging the battle and exhausting her stamina in an attempt to defeat her. Master Swordswoman: As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Mitsuri is one of the most powerful and skilled swordswomen in the entire organization.[22] Mitsuri makes use of a special swordsmanship style based around her thin and flexible Nichirin Sword akin to a whip sword. Her swordsmanship skill allowed her to quickly subdue the creatures spawned by Upper Rank Five, Gyokko, slicing up the vases on the demons' back at speeds faster than they can react to and with great accuracy.[23] Mitsuri best displayed her unique swordsmanship style and sword wielding skill during her battle with Zohakuten. Her swordsmanship was so precise that Mitsuri could cut through lightning and sound waves produced by the Upper Rank,[17] and she managed to counter and destroy all of his Blood Demon Art techniques, which forced the demon to resort to exhausting her in a desperate attempt to kill the Hashira. Breathing Style Love Breathing (恋こいの呼こ吸きゅう Koi no kokyū?): A Breathing Style Mitsuri created herself based on her experience using Flame Breathing, from being a student of Kyojuro Rengoku. Love Breathing incorporates elements of Mitsuri's superhuman flexibility and her unique whip-like Nichirin Sword. Using this Breathing Style, she can unleash attacks that cover a wide range of motion as well as long ranges that a normal katana would be unable to accomplish. Flame Breathing (炎ほのおの呼こ吸きゅう Honō no kokyū?): A Breathing Style that Mitsuri learnt when training under the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. However, although Mitsuri has learnt it, she was not as skillful with it and cannot fight to her fullest using it. Thus, she developed Love Breathing, a Breathing Style more suited to her and can properly make use of her strengths. First Form: Shivers of First Love (壱いちノ型かた　初はつ恋こいのわななき Ichi no kata: Hatsukoi no Wananaki?)[25] - The user dashes forward and performs a single slash that winds through the target, hitting multiple areas with one slice. Second Form: Love Pangs (弐にノ型かた　懊おう悩のう巡めぐる恋こい Ni no kata: Ōnō Meguru Koi?)[26] - The user performs a singular, long-winding swing that cuts the target at multiple angles. Third Form: Catlove Shower (参さんノ型かた　恋こい猫ねこしぐれ San no kata: Koi Neko Shigure?)[27] - The user leaps into the air and performs multiple arched slashes in quick succession. Fifth Form: Swaying Love, Wildclaw (伍ごノ型かた　揺ゆらめく恋れん情じょう・乱みだれ爪づめ Go no kata: Yurameku Renjō Midarezume?)[28] - The user leaps into the air before performing a somersault and releasing dozens of rapid, winding slashes from afar that essentially form a tornado of slashes. Sixth Form: Cat-Legged Winds of Love (陸ろくノ型かた　猫ねこ足あし恋こい風かぜ Roku no kata: Neko Ashi Koi Kaze?)[29] - The user fully extends their sword to perform an arcing slash before retracting it and extending it once more, done in quick succession to form a layers of slashes. Equipment: Nichirin Whip-Katana: Unlike most Demon Slayers who use standard katanas, Mitsuri wields an extremely thin, flexible, and long Nichirin sword, that is more akin to a whip or an Urumi .[30] It was made by Tecchin Tecchikawahara, due to its bizarre shape requiring immense expertise to craft.[31] Due to her sword's characteristics, only Mitsuri can use it without cutting herself in the process, which can be attributed to her superhuman flexibility and fighting style.[15] Using her whip-katana, not only is her attack range longer than the average swordsman, but she can also perform attacks that bend and weave through her targets, slashing different areas or the same area multiple times. Her whip-katana is pink in color and the katana's tsuba is shaped like a four-leaf clover; the leaves have a pink core with a golden border, with the words Destroyer of Demons (惡あっ鬼き滅めっ殺さつ Akki Messatsu?) engraved on the side. The handle is magenta in color and it is wrapped in green cords that are tied to create hearts. Despite her unique katana, Mitsuri carries around a standard sized and shaped sword sheath; as such, due to her sword's shape, Mitsuri folds her katana multiple times to properly sheathe it. Background: Mitsuri was born in the Meiji Period among five siblings[1] and displayed an unnatural strength at a very young age through her unique muscle composition, said to be eight times denser than a normal person's[2], which shocked even her mother who herself was known for her strength. She grew up with a larger appetite than an average person, as much as three sumo wrestlers as a child, and developed an unnatural hair color from eating too much sakura mochi{[3], which led to her being seen as a freak and unable to proceed with a previously intended marriage when she was seventeen[4]. After this rejection, she dyed her hair black, pretended to be weak, and forced herself to eat a normal amount in an attempt to fit in more with other girls, even if it negatively impeded her well-being. Shortly after making these adjustments to her physical appearance, Mitsuri was approached by a potential partner. However, she became doubtful over whether or not pretending to be a different person would truly work out for her in the end.[5] At some point, her partner left her or she left him. Mitsuri then encountered Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who told her to reject normalcy and embrace who she was as her strength was a gift.[6] Because of this encounter, she joined the Demon Slayers and used her skill and ridiculous strength to rise to the status of Hashira. While in the Corps, she also adopted her idea of finding a man stronger than her to marry, however, this did not work out because, with the exception of her fellow Hashira, she was much stronger and more skilled than the rest of her fellow members.[7] She began working with Kyojuro Rengoku and, after realizing she couldn't master the Breathing Style which Kyojuro had taught her, she developed her own Breathing Style derived from Flame Breathing, Love Breathing. At the Ubuyashiki Estate, Shinobu Kocho notes that Tanjiro Kamado is on trial, while Mitsuri thinks about the potential killing of Nezuko Kamado with uneasiness. When Obanai Iguro demands to know what punishment Giyu Tomioka would receive for his role in their subordinate's actions, Mitsuri praises his persistence, as well as Giyu's aloofness. Later, she questions whether or not they should make a decision in Tanjiro's trial without "Oyakata-sama's" input, suggesting they wait until he arrives. Shortly thereafter, she praises Sanemi Shinazugawa's increase in scars and Shinobu's sternness with the former's actions. The Love Hashira's expressions of praise quickly turns to horror as Sanemi stabs Nezuko, but just as quickly turns to laughter when Tanjiro headbutts him, much to her mortification.[8] Mugen Train Arc Upon receiving news of Kyojuro Rengoku's death from a crow, Mitsuri is shocked and horrified. When Tanjiro Kamado reaches the hidden Swordsmith Village, he loudly thanks a Kakushi for safely taking him there. Mitsuri, while relaxing in a hot spring, states that she hears the echo of a thank you and her heart is pounding.[10] Later, after Tanjiro speaks to the chief and starts making his way up to springs, the Hashira sees Tanjiro and come running towards him in tears. She tells Tanjiro that she tried to ask for the name of a boy, but he 'ignored' her even despite her status as a Hashira. After complaining that the high spirits she received from the hot spring was lost, Mitsuri is told by Tanjiro that their dinner is almost ready and that it might include matsutake mushrooms. Mitsuri is immediately cheered up and walks away happily singing a song Tanjiro, Mitsuri, and Nezuko eat dinner together, and Tanjiro is amazed by how much the Hashira can eat even despite her claims that she didn't eat as much as usual. Her appetite encourages Tanjiro to also eat a lot and become stronger. Tanjiro then remembers his encounter at the springs and tells Mitsuri that the boy she met before was named Genya Shinazugawa, and Mitsuri immediately realizes that Genya is actually the younger brother of the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa, even though Sanemi had told her he did not have any siblings. She figures that the brothers do not get along, and that it must be a sad experience since she gets along well with her five siblings. Tanjiro becomes worried for Genya since he still had not arrived to eat his dinner. While playing with and hugging Nezuko, Mitsuri assumes that perhaps the reason why he wasn't present was that he told the Swordsmith Village's townspeople that he will not eat at all. Tanjiro decides to bring Genya leftovers, and Mitsuri enthusiastically supports the idea.[12] Mitsuri sings while holding Nezuko's hand, and Tanjiro suddenly asks her what her motivation was behind joining the Corps. At first, she is embarrassed and hesitant to tell him but soon after confesses that she did it to find a man who would marry her for the rest of her life. She goes on to blissfully speak about how girls like men who are stronger than them and can protect them, and joining the Hashira would allow her to meet many strong individuals. Tanjiro is surprised and speechless, noted to have the same reaction as every other person who heard her reasoning had. The three continue to look for Genya when a Kakushi comes up to them and tells Mitsuri that she is needed at the swordsmith workshop for the finishing touches on her sword. Saddened at having to leave the Kamado siblings, Mitsuri denies Tanjiro’s offer to escort her out and replies that she will be alright. She gives him a kind smile and tells him that even though they might not see each other alive the next time they meet, they should continue trying their best. She praises Tanjiro on surviving a battle against an Upper Rank, an invaluable experience that would translate to an incredible boost to his training. Mitsuri also states that he is much stronger than when they last saw each other and that she completely supports him and Nezuko. Tanjiro thanks her and announces that he couldn't have won without Tengen Uzui's help, but he will continue working harder to defeat Muzan. Mitsuri is happy to hear his words and whispers in Tanjiro's ear that there is a secret weapon in the village that can make him stronger, advising him to look for it. She then leaves with the Kakushi and bids farewell. When the village is attacked by Upper Rank 4 and 5, Mitsuri quickly returns to the Swordsmith Village from her own district while Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Genya are in the process of fighting Hantengu's different forms and Muichiro battles Gyokko.[14] She races towards the main houses where villagers are being attacked by Gyokko's mutant Demons and swiftly cuts them down. She finds a humongous, mutant fish-demon beginning to crush the chief of the village after already killing his demon slaying guards. A bloody bystander tries to get up to save him, but Mitsuri tells him not to get up because his internal organs are most likely wounded. She uses Love Breathing, First Form: Shivers of First Love to easily kill the demon and says that her heart "will never throb for those who hurt people with sick jokes." Tecchin falls from the mutant-fish's grasp, Kanroji safely catching him. Her eyes tear up as she tries to see if he is still alive, and the chief comically says that he must be in heaven since he is being held by a cute girl. She seems surprised and calls him a little perv as another wounded villager asks her to take his hand since he fell on his head too, Mitsuri instantly asking if he is okay. The bystander is immediately relieved. When Tanjiro is swallowed by one of Zohakuten's tree dragons, Mitsuri slices the creature's head in half, carrying Tanjiro on her back safely. She squeals at the monster's size and questions what it is, then asks Tanjiro if he is alright, and that it's a good thing that she made it in time. After putting Tanjiro down, she tells him to rest and doesn't hear him try to tell her that the demon is the Upper Rank Four. She confronts Zohakuten, telling him in a disciplinary way that his "pranks" have went too far, and she will be taking Nezuko and Genya. Zohakuten tells her to shut her mouth, that he only takes orders from one person, and calls her a harlot. Kanroji is visibly in pure shock from his rude comment, thinking that he looks as young as her little brother, even though most demons are much older than they seem.[16] The hatred, emotion clone lashes at Mitsuri with Crazed Cry of Thunder Death. Tanjiro calls out to her and, without hesitating, she uses Love Breathing, Third Form: Catlove Shower against it. She declares that she is getting angry, and, though Zohakuten may look like a child, his actions are still unforgivable. Tanjiro is shocked at how well she suppressed his bolt, and the demon seems a bit impressed by how she cut through his attack itself. Mitsuri continues to battle against Zohakuten. She dodges the crushing hit of the maple leaf-like fan and uses Love Breathing, Second Form: Love Pangs. One of the tree dragons throws another attack from its mouth, but she evades it with Love Breathing, Sixth Form: Cat-Legged Winds of Love. The demon realizes that she is too fast and is keeping up with his attacks, making him have to use a technique. He sends Blood Demon Art: Countless Striking Trees, lashing out many wooden dragons. Mitsuri becomes a bit nervous at how wide-ranged it is and questions if she can get past it. She strikes back with Love Breathing, Fifth Form: Swaying Love, Wildclaw. She gets past the attack and comes very close to Zohakuten. The demon opens his mouth, confusing Kanroji, though she brushes it off and goes for his neck. Tanjiro yells to her that he is not the real body, and he will not die if his head is cut off. The Love Hashira realizes her mistake and is fiercely hit by Zohakuten's Compressed Sound Waves. She loses consciousness and slumps before the Upper Rank. Tanjiro screams out to her as Genya and Nezuko try to break free from the wood and help her. The demon is flabbergasted by how Kanroji maintained her body shape and withstood his head-on attack. He notices that she might've tensed up all her muscles before his attack, and that she is no ordinary girl, her strength not matching her looks. He thinks she has "high-quality meat" but decides to crush her brains and skull in, pulling back his fist. As he is about to kill her, her entire life flashes before her eyes. Right as Kanroji feels as though she is going to die, Tanjiro kills the main body, and Zohakuten crumbles to dust. Mitsuri falls to the ground and cries tears of joy, exclaiming that they must have cut Hantengu's head off.[21] She runs up to Tanjiro, Nezuko, Muichiro, Genya, and Kotetsu and pulls them into a group hug. She cries and rejoices that they won, and that it is awesome. She wails that they're alive and thanks the gods with Nezuko repeating after her.[22] Hashira Training Arc During an emergency meeting held in the Ubuyashiki Estate, Obanai asks how both Mitsuri and Muichiro are doing. She declares that she is feeling a lot better and happily thinks to herself that they're worried about her, while Muichiro says he is not at his full strength again yet. As the Hashira discuss amongst themselves, Amane, Kiriya, and Kanata Ubuyashiki arrive and begin the meeting in place of the ill Kagaya Ubuyashiki, Amane apologizing for the wait; Mitsuri, along with the rest of the Hashira, bow before Amane. Amane speaks about how Mitsuri and Muichiro had gotten unusual marks during their battles, asking if they could explain how to get them and what the conditions are to obtain them. Mitsuri questions what she means by this and Amane explains to the Hashira.[24] When asked again to inform them how to get a mark, the Love Hashira thinks to herself that Amane is beautiful, and she starts to explain very excitedly how she felt during her fight. She enthusiastically states that her body was "super light", and that it was like, "badaaaaam", "duuurrr", "my ears went screeeeee", and more exaggerated onomatopoeia. There is an awkward silence, as everyone is very surprised by her explanation. Embarrassed, Mitsuri bows her head to the ground and says she is extremely sorry, wanting to hide in a tiny hole.[25]When Muichiro explains his state, Mitsuri turns her head to him and looks at him in surprise. As he explains deeply the conditions he felt, she thinks to herself that she sees now what Amane means. Amane thanks them but she then adds she has one thing to say regarding the mark. Mitsuri tilts her head slightly and asks what it would be; she then grows concerned at Amane's explanation.[26] After the Ubuyashikis leave, Giyu attempts to leave as well when Mitsuri holds out her hand toward him, visibly reluctant to see him leave. When Sanemi is angered by the Water Hashira's actions, she attempts to ease the tension when Sanemi walks toward Giyu. Mitsuri attempts to stop him before Gyomei Himejima loudly claps his hands and stops everyone in the room.[27]Tanjiro narrates later on that, after Tengen's stamina training, Mitsuri handles the flexibility training. He also says that those who already have the mark will train so they can continuously stay in their 'marked state', as a picture of Mitsuri standing on Muichiro's and Tanjiro's knees and Nezuko laying on the ground is shown.[28] When Tanjiro reaches her residence, Mitsuri waves to Tanjiro and happily welcomes him into her home. He thanks her and says he is glad she is doing okay; she replies that she feels the same way. Tanjiro asks if she keeps bees at her home and claims that he smells honey. She proclaims that he figured it out, expressing her love for making honey and putting it onto her bread. She leads him to the kitchen while she says she loves her bread with tons of butter too and to pour black tea in the afternoon. When there is an emergency summon, Mitsuri, along with her fellow Demon Slayers, rush toward Kagaya, in the hopes that they may reach him in time.[31] After trying to attack Muzan Kibutsuji using Love Breathing, Fifth Form, doors open beneath them to the Infinity Castle along with the other Hashira and Tanjiro Kamado. Obanai and Mitsuri are both transported together as they plummet within the castle. Infinity Castle Arc While Mitsuri and Obanai wander through the Infinity Castle, Mitsuri comes across a female demon wielding a biwa with a large bachi pick. They both see the kanji for Four ( shi?) on her singular iris and are surprised that Muzan has already replaced Hantengu's position of Upper Rank 4 so soon. Mitsuri comments to herself that Shinobu sacrificed her own life in order to aid Kanao and Inosuke with defeating Upper Rank 2, Doma, with her being younger as well. This boosts her confidence and her drive to do the best she possibly can against any demon, no matter how strong they are. Other Information: Mitsuri can eat 100 sticks of dango Mitsuri's hair color is said to be the way it is because of her eating too much sakura mochi.[33]She ate 170 mochis a day for eight months. Her striped socks were a gift from Obanai,[35] as she was initially very embarrassed wearing her uniform. Mitsuri's mentor was Kyojuro. She derived her Love Breathing from his Flame Breathing. It is revealed in a Volume Extra that her current uniform is made by Masao Maeda, a notoriously perverse uniform tailor of the Kakushi who also gave similarly designed outfits to Shinobu, Kanao, and Aoi. Unlike the others who burned their uniforms in protest, Mitsuri opted to keep wearing it, as she couldn't manage to burn hers Mitsuri's appearance is somewhat reminiscent of that of the watermelon fruit, having pink and green hair, and beauty marks reminiscent to watermelon seeds. While the insides of watermelons are usually red, they can be pink in many others as well. Because of how much she eats, her food expenses are unexpectedly high. Mitsuri and Shinobu get along quite well due to them having been the only two female Hashira after Kanae's death. She also teaches Shinobu western cooking When putting her sword back into its sheath, she folds it multiple times and twirls it around due to its structure. Mitsuri's level of openness was ranked at 90% Hashiras: Hashira is the highest rank that Demon Slayers can obtain in the Demon Slayer Corps. Those who hold the position are regarded as the most powerful and skilled combatants in the entire organization, protecting humanity against more dangerous threats that cannot be handled by other Demon Slayers. The Hashira, in accordance with their great strength, hold the highest authority in the organization, second only to the Corps leader, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and later, Kiriya Ubuyashiki.[1] The Hashira are all assigned a specific region that they are required to patrol, usually to gather information about the demons inhabiting said area and to improve their swordsmanship. They are also deployed on missions only if lower-ranking members are unable to complete it. Each Hashira is the master of a unique Breathing Style, some of which are even created by themselves. Interestingly, swordsmen who can use Flame Breathing and Water Breathing have become Hashira in every era, with no exceptions thus far. Demon slayer Corps: The Demon Slayer Corps is an organization dedicated to hunting and killing demons. Most members of the Demon Slayer Corps are combatants, known as Demon Slayers. As the Demon Slayer Corps isn't officially recognized by the government,[2][3] its members are forced to work in secrecy, which means that Demon Slayers cannot openly carry their swords in public. The Ubuyashiki family's accumulated wealth, acquired through their unique gift of foresight,[6] plays a vital role in ensuring that the Demon Slayers have the necessary means and resources to fulfill their duties effectively. Shinobu Kocho: Shinobu Kocho (胡こ蝶ちょう しのぶ Kochō Shinobu?) is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the Insect Hashira (蟲むし柱ばしら Mushi Bashira?) of the Taisho era.[2][3] Shinobu is also the younger sister of Kanae Kocho along with her adoptive younger sister Kanao Tsuyuri. After a demon killed her parents, Shinobu joined the Demon Slayer Corps along with her sister in order to protect others from suffering the same fate as her. Kyojuro Rengoku: Kyojuro Rengoku (煉れん獄ごく 杏きょう寿じゅ郎ろう Rengoku Kyōjurō?) was a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and a major character in the Mugen Train Arc. He was a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the Flame Hashira (炎えん柱ばしら En Bashira?) of the Taisho era. Muichiro Tokito: Muichiro Tokito (時とき透とう 無む一いち郎ろう Tokitō Muichirō?) is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
