After his daily walk, he would spend his midday sitting by the dining table, sometimes reading or writing. And that's just what happened today. The warm sun of an early spring afternoon filtered through the blinds, revealing the dancing particles of dust flying in the air. The clock was ticking incredibly slowly on the wall, and you could hear the quiet hum of the fridge from the living room across the ground floor. The air was still, just how Peter liked it. Nixon somnolently turned over on his furry back on the table, revealing the white, fluffy belly to Peter, who was too busy reading the newspaper to notice.
