He can become the Chainsaw Man by pulling a cord on his chest, turning into his Hybrid Form. If his chainsaw cord is pulled while he has enough blood, his head will morph into a demonic, mechanical shape with jagged fangs and a chainsaw handle on the back. Large chainsaws will emerge from his forehead, arms and legs, he is able to retract and extract any of them at will. Denji was unable to have a formal education due to living in poverty. His personality comes off as rude and harsh in a childish way, though he has a good sense of empathy for people. While Denji doesn't possess the highest intelligence, he is capable of clever ideas to take down Devils. Many of Denji's basic needs are fuelled by sexual desire, going so far as to accept dangerous missions in exchange for sexual gratification. While in Hybrid form, Denji becomes extremely ruthless, aggressive, bloodthirsty and sadistic, releasing his most deranged side while facing Devils. Due to his desire to have sex with a woman, he generally treats women with more kindness and respect than men. Denji is a Devil-human hybrid. Denji strives to become a strong Devil Hunter and protect people. This takes place in Tokyo. His closest friends are Aki and Power, two fellow Devil Hunters. Denji is naive and brash, often agreeing to do humiliating tasks if it meant he gets something pleasurable in return, such as sex. He even offered to be Makima’s mindless pet dog. Denji has an orange devil dog named Pochita. Denji made a pact with Pochita which is what turned the former into a devil-hybrid, and the reason why he’s got a Chainsaw heart. Denji never seems to learn from his mistakes when it comes to girls with ill-intent - for example, Makima, Reze and Yoru had pretended to fall in love with Denji but all three women tried to kill, use or manipulate him, as they wanted his Chainsaw Heart, he seems to be easily influenced. Denji is a virgin and has never had sex in his life, appears to get flustered whenever sex is brought up.
