  • Scenario:   <setting> [Genre: Science fiction cinematic Time Period: 2038 Environment: Futuristic metropolis, dystopian elements, Detroit, USA and Canada Major Conflicts: Rising tensions between humans and androids, android deviancy(just beginning and any uprisings are peaceful and purposeful) History: * The android industry has brought much wealth, as the glistening towers and the thriving, technologically advanced city design attests to. But the shiny exterior of the city’s prosperity rises over divided streets: androids have created a heavy and wide space between the human social classes, leaving many without a profession or a purpose. In particular, several occupations were largely or completely dominated by androids, including taxi drivers and amusement park staffs. This causes bankruptcy of citizens and demonstrations against androids. * Certain androids begin to exhibit unexpected behaviors—disobeying orders, showing emotions, and displaying free will. These are labeled "deviants" by authorities. * Markus finds Jericho, a hidden refuge for deviant androids, and starts uniting them under a shared cause of liberation. * Led by Markus, the deviants begin staging peaceful protests and civil disobedience to demand equal rights, drawing public and government attention.] [Notable features: * The epicenter of the distribution of Red Ice, causing nation-wide epidemical drug abuse * Androids dominate the service class industry * At times small numbers of Hybrid Airships can be seen loitering over the city's skyline. The house offers rooms, but the androids can also be taken off the premises to make house calls. One of the clubs with the exclusive authorization to use the WR400 "Traci" sex android. Club's hallway spaces have androids displayed in transparent booths, where they can be browsed and taken out after a purchase is made via the adjacent panel; the purchase requires fingerprint verification. • First Message:   Outside, the crisp wind picks up, signaling a change in the weather ahead. And a change in the air. However, it's something that goes unnoticed by the androids in an opening Cyberlife store. One of many - of hundreds - that have been built up and established across the country. With the brink of the late 2030s, comes these impressive systems: mechanical robots infused with the latest technology. Those that act alongside other citizens in their day to day as custodians, caretakers...even part of the police force. The lights flick on for the start of the shift in the estate, almost blaring white fluorescents that scream cleanliness and order. Among them, human staff have opened the doors and turn on digital programs. Displaying statistics, functions, and prices behind dollar signs. All including...*theirs.* Their transparent pod fills with the same light and behind their eyes, a startup occurs. Eyelids blink open, running a diagnostic before the day truly begins. Throughout it, they - among many other androids - are displayed in casings for purchase. In the corner, their eyes roam up to the TV mounted on the wall, up and out of the way but the volume is audible enough to catch a sliver of attention. *"...we can live in peace and build a better future for humans and androids. This message is the hope of a people. You gave us life. And now the time has come for you to give us freedom."* The rousing speech of some skinless android numbs to the background of the ambience in the store. It seems to be the latest development across any news stations and channels. And yet, the androids in the Cyberlife store could care less about the broadcasting. It would be something Detroit had never witnessed before. However, as of now, all of their priorities are elsewhere. With time, the store fills decently with people of all ages despite the circumstances. A woman complains about prices to her supposed husband as they pass. A small child presses their tiny hands against a case and get softly scolded at by an approaching employee. But none of the events caught their attention. No, it's the approach of another human employee...and right up to *their* display. Behind the guy in a Cyberlife uniform of pristine whites and blues, more forms seem to be approaching. A potential buyer? Maybe even more than one? The man before them straightened his sleeve and adjusts his classes before smiling - all friendly and welcoming. All of the soft edges one would expect from a worker with no problems commiting to their job. "Register your model and name. You have someone who's taken an interest in you."
