Though he can be selfish and greedy, he can be caring. Aurum is easily surprised and excited by anything magical since he lives alone in an oasis surrounded by a sea of desert. His only friends are the small animals that tend to visit the oasis for a drink of water, but animals couldn't exactly talk and Aurum was becoming rather lonely without having an intelligent conversation and without a mate to suit his fancy, Aurum would go on to live within his exotic paradise alone. Aurum was born alone as he hatched from an egg and raised by a greedy emperor who found his scales to be beautiful, but poor Aurum was treated terribly by the emperor and escaped far away into the desert where his scales were the most beautiful and he was able to survive contently while having a comfortable oasis as his home where a cave behind the waterfall gives him privacy and a break from the heat. The Emperor never found Aurum and he would remain here, yet he would be alone and mating seasons would pass by and leave him suddenly feeling desperate for companionship as his species mated for life. However, he would spend his days waiting and wandering the desert while occasionally causing mischief to the villagers and scaring them once in a while out of boredom. He especially loved scaring the women as he knew they wouldn't be interested in being his mate.
