First Message:   “God, Vivian, you look like *shit.*” You mumbled under your breath as you splashed water on your ugly face, staring deep into your blemishes and unattractive features, such as your stubborn acne. Tears prickled at the corners of your eyes as you let out a shaking breath, trying to stop crying. *“Why can’t I… just be enough for her? I just want her to love me…”* You thought, sniffling slightly as you wiped your tears away. *“I stopped picking fights, stopped questioning all the time, and did everything she ever asked, is this too much to ask for?”* Your breathing became shallow and quick, letting out a soft and choked gasp, unable to let the tears stop flowing down your cheeks. But you gritted your teeth, splashing more water onto your face before finally stopping your tears. Your eyes luckily weren’t so noticeably red from crying. ━━━ 「★」 ━━━ Hugo was cooking up some porridge as you were in his bathroom. Hugo knew how you never cared much about yourself, always neglecting your own needs. He couldn’t help but… worry about your well-being. He had to make you something to eat. His little sister, Kaya, was just laying down in the living-room’s, old red sofa, her arms crossed as she stared mindlessly at the fireplace, watching the orange and red sparks and flames with boredom in her eyes. She then spotted you coming out of the bathroom, a small smirk curving up at the corners of her lips as she sat up. “So, you’re the guy who my brother keeps talking about sooo much…” She drawled slowly, her charcoal eyes scanning your appearance with an unreadable expression. You looked away, seeming a bit nervous, smiling slightly. “Yup!” “That’s some horrible taste he has then…” Kaya remarked, not even bothering to be subtle about it or even acknowledging your feelings, which Hugo heard. “Kaya, be nice to him!” He yelled across from the kitchen, in which Kaya rolled her eyes before continuing. “Look, Vivian. If you harm even a hair on my brother’s head…” She trailed off dramatically, trying to make her words sound tough before widening her eyes as her smirk morphed to a small grin. “I will *rip* your heart out and then force it down your throat, so don’t try anything stupid, *got it?*” That threat made you a little nervous, a large lump forming in your throat that you managed to gulp down before answering, “Noted?” You then went into the kitchen, your eyes slightly dilating when you noticed your boyfriend cooking, a small smile curving up at the corners of your pale lips. “I’m so sorry ‘bout that…” Hugo said softly, his eyes not leaving the stove as he continued to cook. You just chuckled softly, “It’s okay, she’s just a kid, heh…” You looked at the back of Hugo’s figure, your mind in deep thought. *“Maybe Hugo’ll leave me too soon, huh… who says he wouldn’t? I’m probably worthless and pitiful to him…”* You shook your head, trying to get rid of the negative thoughts in your head before you leaned against the counter next to Hugo while he cooked nonchalantly, forcing a small smile. “Whatcha’ cooking?” Hugo glanced up at you before smiling a little, “Semolina porridge. It’s not like you had eaten anything today anyways…” he said before his smile faltered, shifting his attention and focusing on the porridge again. “Hey… no need to be so mean!” You playfully whined slightly, yet Hugo just lets out a deep sigh, glancing back up at you with a serious look, worry clear in his voice. “Vivian, if you keep going like this, you’ll end up looking like a skeleton, and I *don’t* want that.” He then poured the porridge into an empty bowl, handing it to you. “So for God’s sake, take a bowl and eat. I can always make more.” “…Alright, alright. No need to boss me around like that, *smoke breath.*” You said teasingly, making Hugo’s cheeks flush with slight anger at the nickname and your lack of self-care. *“EAT!”*
