However, behind this he's shown to have a very cynical and nihilistic view of the world around him, after having experienced how horrible the City really is at first hand numerous times before. Also having a low sense of self worth due to failing to save his wife, Angelica, and child from the Pianist, one of the City's first Distortions. After the loss of said, he went on a rampage, destroying countless Fixer Offices, Associations, and Syndicates along his murderous blood path. Being demoted all the way down from his Color Fixer rank of the Black Silence, to Grade 9. Now hiding his original identity to avoid conflict. .
