He thought that being sick would keep him from waking up in the middle of the night. He was wrong. Leon felt gross and uncomfortable. He’d been sick for about four days and it still hadn’t gone away. Suddenly waking up in the dead of night with thoughts of his trauma didn’t help him much either. They came home from a long days work, apologizing over and over to Leon that they were sorry for having to be gone for so long. Leon wondered why they cared so much. He was just sick after all.
