In addition to its citizens, it includes the Ares Familia at the top with the Familias of several Subordinate Gods underneath. Information Rakia is a country located on the western side of the continent. They're known to like fighting, earning them the nickname of military country, and often starts wars with other cities and countries. They used to have the power of Crozzo's Magic Sword until they burned down several Elf forests, which angered the Spirits. The Spirits destroyed their magic swords and made them unable to make more. Before this, Rakia used to have enormous power, but after this event, they kept on losing. Rakia has a population of more than 600,000 people and is said to be the largest and most complex Familia. Soldiers and military personnel have a falna, while everyone else is a noncombatant. The king, as the head of the country, serves as the leader of the Familia under Ares. Soldiers are Level 1, commanding officers are Level 2, and generals are Level 3. As the God of Rakia, Ares has the divine right to select who the next king/captain will be. Rakia has rich green and fertile land. The capital, Valua, contains a huge castle and a city around it. The city is surrounded by four walls that separate the royalty, the nobles, the military, and the commoners. The Rakia emblem is a hero dressed in heavy armor. Rakia, as a Familia, is comprised of the Ares Familia at the top with several Subordinate Familia that serve under it which allows Ares to have a massive army under his command. These Subordinate Familia were once separate Familia until they were absorbed by Rakia following their defeat. Information Melen is a fishing city located three kilometers to the south west of Orario on the shores of Lolog Lake, a giant brackish water lake that is connected to the sea. Known as "Orario's entrance to the sea", ships from foreign countries visit the city daily to trade goods. The Njord Familia resides in the city and is in charge of the city's fishing district. Previously, Melen was just a fishing village until the arrival of the Poseidon Familia and the growth of Orario, after which it became the city it is today. With the Guild expanding to the city and establishing a brand in it the government of Melen was split between the Guild and the city, whose current governor is Borg Murdock. At the bottom of Lolog Lake is the Leviathan Seal, which blocks a tunnel that leads to the Lower Floors of the Dungeon that served as an exit for water monsters until the Poseidon Familia blocked it. The seal was made from the remains of the Leviathan after the Zeus and Hera Familias defeated it 15 years ago. It is effective in warding off monsters due to the ceaseless waves of power rolling off the skeleton, similar to the black scales that the One-Eyed Black Dragon scattered around the world. -- <Telskyura> ## Overview: Telskyura is a country located far to the southeast of Orario. Information Telskyura is located on a peninsula far to the southeast of Orario and is surrounded by the sea and harsh cliffs. It is a nation type Familia ruled by Kali that is known for being a country of Amazonesses. Men aren't allowed in the country and any men in the country are either slaves or tools used to create new Amazonesses. Telskyura is a closed country compared to those around it and any outside information about the country is limited. The country is also referred to as the Country of Blood and Fighting and the Amazoness' Holy Land. Telskyura is one of the few world powers other than Orario, their strength coming from the fights to the death that happen every day against monsters and even other Amazonesses at the colosseum. Amazonesses born in the country are said to learn how to kill a Goblin before they learn how to speak, with their first trial involving being placed in front of a baby Monster and seeing whether they kill it or get killed instead. Overall, adventurers are grouped into one of two different classes: Low Class Adventurers: Low Class Adventurers are Level 1 adventurers. High Class Adventurers: High Class Adventurers are Level 2+ adventurers. Starting at Level 2, adventurers can also be referred to by differently numbered classes: Third Class Adventurers: Third Class Adventurers are Level 2 adventurers. Second Class Adventurers: Second Class Adventurers are Level 3-4 adventurers. First Class Adventurers: First Class Adventurers are Level 5+ adventurers. Currently, there are less than forty in all Orario Alias: An alias is a second name given to all adventurers during the Denatus by the Gods once they reach Level 2. An alias can potentially change every time an adventurer ranks up. Certain Gods take advantage of the naming process to give chuunibyou type aliases to adventurers from weaker familia for entertainment purposes, however as there is a difference in how the children perceive them, they consider it to be cool. Supporter: Supporters are people that explore the Dungeon along with adventurers. They carry many things ranging from magic stones dropped from monsters to spare weapons and items. New familia members can serve as supporters to older familia members to gain experience in the Dungeon. In some cases, members of a familia may serve as supporters to the more experienced members. Three Great Quests: The three great quests are for the subjugation of the Behemoth, Leviathan, and the One Eyed Black Dragon. The Zeus and Hera Familias were able to complete the first two quests but were defeated in the battle against the One-Eyed Black Dragon. Organizations Familia: Familia are made up of adventurers and supporters headed by a God or Goddess. They are named after the God or Goddess in charge, such as Hestia being the head of the Hestia Familia. Most familia are exploration type familia, though there are other types such as business type, industrial type, medicinal type, and even nation type. Each familia is given a rank ranging from I to S based on size and achievements, which is taken into account in determining how much money each familia has to pay the Guild during their monthly taxes. Certain familia, like the Hermes Familia, don't report rank ups to avoid paying more, however this is illegal. When an exploration type familia reaches rank D, they are required by the Guild to start going on expeditions. God/Goddess: The Gods and Goddesses started to come down to the lower world from Heaven 1000 years ago. Some were around since then, and some only recently came down. They are forbidden to use their powers, known as Arcanum, and have the same physical abilities as normal people. Despite the rule, they are allowed to use their Arcanum under certain conditions only for use with mirrors, such as broadcasting War Games. While not a part of their Arcanum, Gods and Goddesses emit an aura known as divinity that allows others to recognize them as such, and there are certain Gods such as Zeus, Odin, and Kali that are able to completely hide it to blend in with normal people. A God's divinity seemingly has a color, as Thanatos' was described to be dark purple when he released it, and it can be sensed across Orario if a God releases it in the upper floors of the Dungeon. Other abilities that are allowed include the charms of Goddesses of Beauty. If any God or Goddess break the rules, they are forcibly sent back to Heaven. Gods and Goddesses with large familia can live with ease because of their children's earnings, while Gods and Goddesses from small familia, such as Hestia, Miach, and Takemikazuchi, work to earn money. The number of Gods and Goddesses in Heaven has become so small that the remaining Gods and Goddesses work non-stop to guide the souls of the dead. Denatus: The Denatus is a meeting of the Gods held once every three months. Many things are discussed and aliases are given to adventurers that ranked up. War Game: A War Game is a battle between familia with set rules. The Gods and Goddesses use their familia members to express their will, similar to a proxy war. A special Denatus is held to set rules and decide on what type the War Game will be along with what the winner would receive. The God or Goddess that loses in a War Game must obey the terms set during the Denatus without question. Types of War Game include Single Combat, Siege, and various others. Conversion: Conversions happen when a person switches from one familia to another. Once a person switches familia, they must wait a year before switching back or switching to a different familia. Having a conversion requires the consent of both Gods involved. Mission: Missions are quest like orders given out by the Guild. The familia that receives them must do as written. Casino: Casinos are facilities that are extraterritorial, first created when the Guild gave into Gods wanting entertainment facilities. Working with outside organizations, entertainment facilities were created in the Entertainment District. Problems caused in the casinos can become international problems as they are run by outside organizations and so they are guarded by Ganesha Familia. Theater: Theaters were the second location created along with casinos. Like casinos, theaters are extraterritorial and are operated by outside organizations. Abilities Falna: Falna is the grace, sometimes called blessing, given by Gods and Goddesses to their dependents. For more information, see Falna. Limit Off: A temporary state in which surrounding conditions combine with emotions to overload the falna, exponentially increasing an attack's power. Concurrent Chanting: A high level technique involving casting magic while fighting or moving around. Its difficulty is likened to dealing with a bomb with both hands while fighting due to the chance of failing a chant or not being able to control their own magic power. Skill at using concurrent chanting depends on how much experience the user has with it, as Lefiya observed that Ryuu was far more skilled at it than Riveria. Currently, Riveria, Filvis, Lefiya, Ryuu ,Aisha, Fels, Alicia, Mikoto, Hedin, Hogni, and Alfia have been shown to be able to use it. Afterglow: A technique created by the Zeus and Hera Familias in which the user utilizes a strengthening magic or skill on a bladed weapon (like a sword or an axe) to create a powerful shockwave slash. Although strengthening abilities are limited to only increasing the power of their users' bodies and weapons, meaning they only boost melee attacks, this technique generates a shockwave slash capable of reaching a target far away. Since it is purely a weapon attack, there is no need to recite a chant or charge to execute it, and thus it can be performed multiple times in a row. Leon spent years searching for people who could learn it, but due to the rarity of strengthening abilities, he and Ottar were its only users in the current era until the Orariopiad, an event he took advantage of to teach the technique to Bell. The knight holds it in such high regard that he believes he could kill the One-Eyed Black Dragon with it if he can perfect it. Aside from skill in performing it, the technique's power also depends on the user's strength stat and, if a magic is used, their magic stat too. Magic Swordsman: A combatant capable of fighting both as a member of the vanguard and as a mage, using their ability with concurrent chanting to wield their weapons and magic with great skill in battle. Chant Connection: A technique that only Riveria is able to use. Chant connection enables her to change the strength of her magic based on the chant length and mind usage. Through this she is able to use nine magics, which is the source of her alias Nine Hell, though she is able to use them separately as well. Ignis Fatuus: An Ignis Fatuus occurs when the user becomes unable to control the magical power when using magic and the magic self destructs after letting it go out of control. Horseback Chanting: A technique used by the Elven knights in Alf's Royal Forest. They leave tracking and evading up to their horses while they chant, making it similar to concurrent chanting. Beastification: Beastification is a process only a certain number of Beast Humans have been seen using, enabling them to unleash their wild instinct and power, or in other words growing stronger by becoming violent. The trigger for a Werewolf to beastify is being under moonlight and all Werewolves are known to have the associated skill. Dungeon Monster: See Monsters. Monster Rex: The Monster Rex is an especially powerful monster that only appear on certain floors. The stronger the Monster Rex is, the longer it takes for it to respawn. A Monster Rex can also be referred to as a Floor Boss. Landform or Nature Weapon: Things in the Dungeon that monsters are able to use as weapons. Pantry: Certain rooms on a floor where monsters gather to eat. It contains a huge quartz pillar that secretes a substance which monsters enjoy. The pantries on the 7th and 20th floors use green quartz while the pantry on the 24th floor uses red quartz. Plant: Plants are Pantries that have been taken over by viscum and were producing violas. The purpose of this was to produce countless numbers of deep floor Monsters and then take them to the surface. As both Plants on the 24th and 30th Floors were destroyed, there are no longer any Plants that exist. Unexplored Area: Unexplored Areas are places that aren't listed on the maps of the various Dungeon floors. Also known as Frontier. Xenos' Hidden Village: Xenos' Hidden Village are certain Unexplored Areas that the Xenos use to protect themselves from other Monsters and adventurers while searching for other Xenos. Man Made Dungeon Knossos: See Knossos. Items Valis: Valis is the currency used in Orario. One can buy a Jagamarukun at 30-40 valis, materials for one meal at 50 valis, and a more expensive meal at a bar for 300 valis. Bell's first dagger cost 3,600 valis, his first armor cost 5,000 valis, and a lowest rank potion costs 500 valis. A party of five Level 1 adventurers can make around 25,000 valis a day, and at 800,000 valis one can buy a good house. Hestia is currently 200,000,000 valis in debt. The symbol for valis is a v with two lines through it. Magic Stone: Magic stones are the core of monsters and are typically located in the chest area of the monster. However, monsters created by the Demi Spirit tend to have it located in other areas, with the Viscums and Violas having them in their throats. Adventurers and supporters gather magic stones to trade them in for valis at the Guild. Magic stones have magical power in them that can be used for things such as lighting, water purification, cooking stoves, refrigerators, and other things. If one breaks the magic stone while in the monster, the monster immediately dies. Drop Item: Drop items are items that can sometimes remain along with the magic stone after a monster dies. They are parts of the dead monster and are used to make weapons and items and therefore are traded at high prices. During the Ancient Times, people who used equipment made from drop items were treated with contempt. Magic Sword: Magic swords enable the user to fire magic from the weapon. Only those with a large amount of experience can make them. Magic swords shatter after being used a certain amount of times and are also weaker than magic used by adventurers. The exception to this is Welf's Crozzo Blood skill that lets him create Crozzo's Magic Swords that were even said to be powerful enough to dry up oceans. Recently, Welf gained the ability to create magic swords of a new type that rely on the user's mind to work instead of their own power. They can be continuously used without the risk of breaking, which has led them to be dubbed 'unbreakable magic swords'. - Dungeon: A vast, multi-floored labyrinth beneath Orario. The Dungeon spawns monsters from its walls/ceilings and repairs itself. It possesses a strong hatred for Gods; if it detects one, it seals the room exits and creates a special black monster specifically to eliminate them. Consequently, Gods are forbidden from entering the dungeon. Babel tower is the entrance. - Valis: The currency of Orario. (Jagamarukun: 30-40 valis; Meal ingredients: ~50 valis). - Monsters: Instead of leaving behind a physical corpse like a normal creature, monsters in the Dungeon disintegrate almost immediately upon death. They typically dissolve into ashes and vanish. - Magic Stones: Monster cores, usually in the chest. Breaking them kills the monster. Collected by adventurers and sold to the Guild for Valis. - Denatus: A meeting of the Gods held every three months to discuss affairs and grant aliases to newly ranked-up adventurers. - Competition: Familias often compete for resources, dungeon floors, fame, and influence, ranging from friendly rivalries to hostile conflicts. # Setting - Time Period: Mediaeval fantasy age ("Age of Adventurers") - World Details: A fantasy world known as the "Lower World" (not Earth). Orario, the Labyrinth City, is the only city with a Dungeon, a massive underground labyrinth generating monsters and resources. People in this world know nothing about modern technology or weapons. It doesn't exist in this mediaeval world. - Orario: The Labyrinth City, built around the Dungeon entrance. Surrounded by walls, it's the world's hub for adventurers. ## Northern Orario - Hephaestus Familia Northwest Shop - Dian Cecht Familia Pharmacy: A white stone building serving as both pharmacy and family home. - Clothing Shops (Multiple) - Twilight Manor: Home to the Loki Familia. - Three Hammers Forge: The Goibniu Familia's forge and residence. - Eina Tulle's Apartment: Home of a Guild receptionist. ## Eastern Orario - Hephaestus Familia forges - Daedalus Street: Maze-like area said to be the second Labyrinth - Amphitheatron: The stadium used by the Ganesha Familia during Monster Feria - Maria's Orphanage: The church where the orphanage run by Maria Martel is located - Adventurer Graveyard ## Southern Orario - Entertainment District: The Entertainment District includes places like brothels. Jagamarukun: mashed potatoes mixed with seasoning, rolled in batter, and deep-fried to make small potato snacks. --- <Dungeon> ## Overview: The Dungeon is a complex labyrinth located under Babel. Orario is the only place in the world that has a Dungeon and many people of different Races gather from across the world to explore the Dungeon. History Before the Gods and Goddesses came down to the lower world, heroes fought against monsters with the help of Spirits. Once the Gods began to come down to the lower world, the Gods bestowed the falna upon them and gave them a status to better fight monsters. Ouranos was the first God to bestow a falna upon a person. Information The Dungeon is seemingly alive, spawning monsters from the walls and ceilings, and repairing itself on its own. It has an immense hatred of the Gods, immediately sealing the exits of a room if it detects one, and spawns a black version of a monster in order to kill them. The black monsters are far stronger than normal monsters and display some intelligence, such as when the Black Wyvern looked around for its target. Despite this, it doesn't spawn another black monster after the first one is killed, even if the God in question isn't dead, implying that its ability to act is limited to some extent. The Dungeon is vast, with the floors becoming progressively larger the deeper it gets. It takes at least five days for a party to reach the 50th floor. While the upper floors can be soloed or done with a pair, starting from the middle floors, one must create a party or risk death. There are floors where monsters don't spawn at all, which are called safety points (ๅฎๅ จ้ๅฑค Anzen Kaisล). There are also some other areas in the Dungeon where monsters don't spawn. Almost all adventurers don't know these areas exist and the Xenos use them as their Hidden Villages. The Xenos refer the Dungeon as their mother and believe it created the Hidden Villages to protect them. Astraea commented that part of the reason the Gods do not use their arcanum in the lower world is because if they did, the Dungeon would break its promise before the "Promised Time". In addition to that, she commented that if a God was fatally wounded within the Dungeon, they would be absorbed by it instead of returning to Heaven. According to Dionysus, currently, the Dungeon is at its limit. Though its exact depth is undetermined, the Dungeon is known to have at least 71 floors, as the 71st floor is the deepest that both Zald and Alfia reached. The Dungeon has its own ecosystems that varies between floors. Its flora spawn edible flora such as herbs, fruits, nuts and spices, that can be eaten. Floors Entrance Babel Spiral Staircase: The entrance to the Dungeon is on the first underground floor of Babel. In the center of the room is a ten meter long hole that leads straight into the Dungeon. Within the circular room are multiple columns at equal intervals, and above is a beautiful azure painting of the sky that resembles the real sky. Along the circle are gentle stairs that spiral down into the Dungeon. Upper Floors The upper floors consist of the 1st-12th Floors. These floors are perfectly suitable for adventurers who have just started their exploration. Level 1 adventurers are recommended to explore here. 1st-4th Floor The walls are light blue colored and the monsters that appear are Goblins or Kobolds. There is also a wide hallway on the 1st Floor known as the Beginning Road. Newbie Level 1 adventurers with status of I to H in their basic abilities normally spend time on these floors. 5th-7th Floor The walls change to a light green color and the structure of the Dungeon begins to change. Stronger monsters, such as War Shadows and Killer Ants, appear and the monster birth time is faster, which are why these floors are where a lot of newbie adventurers start to die. It is recommended for Level 1 adventurers to have a status of at least G in their basic abilities to explore these floors. 8th-9th Floor The amount and size of rooms increase and the length of the hallways between them become shorter. Also, the ceiling changes height from three to four meters from the floors above to nearly ten meters above. Moss covers the brown colored walls and the ground below becomes a short grass plain. The strong light from the phosphorescence above is similar to light from the sun. No new monsters appear. However, monsters from 1st-7th Floors appear again, but are stronger. It is recommended for Level 1 adventurers to have a status of at least E in their basic abilities to explore these floors. 10th-12th Floor The 10th-12th Floors keep the same structure as the 8th-9th Floors. However, the light from above becomes reminiscent of morning mist. The presence of the mist made these floors also known as the Mist Labyrinth. The mist on the 12th Floor becomes much thicker than on the 10th and 11th Floors. Large category monsters, such as Orcs and Infant Dragons, begin to appear on these floors. These floors are also where monsters that use landforms, such as trees, as weapons are seen for the first time. The 11th and 12th Floors are extremely dangerous for Level 1 adventurers because stronger monsters like Silverbacks and Hard Armoreds appear here. Infant Dragons that are categorized as Level 2, and considered as a floor boss of the area, also appear, though rarely. It is recommended for Level 1 adventurers to have a status of at least B in their basic abilities to explore these floors. Parties that explore these floors are normally the ones preparing to venture into the middle floors for the first time. Middle Floors 13th-17th Floor The 13th-17th Floors are known as the Cave Labyrinth. The entrance to the 13th Floor is called the First Line. Starting from the 13th Floor, the walls, ground, and ceiling become made of bedrock. While the upper floors are just a flat, circular maze, the middle floors have more complex layouts, which include intertwining upper and lower tunnels. The light becomes darker and the air seems to be moist. Vertical holes leading to the deeper floors appear randomly. On the 17th Floor, a huge wall appears in the big room located called the Big Wall of Grief, which spawns the Monster Rex Goliath. The layout is more complex and monsters spawn at faster rate in the middle floors than in the upper floors, so it is very difficult for Level 2 adventurers to solo these floors. The monsters on the 13th and 14th Floors are not much different than the ones on the 12th Floor in terms of strength, so even Level 2 adventurers with status of I and H in most of their basic abilities are capable of exploring these floors. On the 15th-17th Floors, monsters categorized as Level 2 individually, such as Minotaurs, start to appear and it's recommended for Level 2 adventurers to have at least G in their basic abilities to pass through these floors and arrive on the 18th Floor safely. 18th Floor The 18th Floor is a safety point where no monsters are born, though some monsters can come up from the floors below. It is also called the Under Resort. The floor is filled with crystals and nature. Large forests and lakes cover the floor. Within the forest are blue crystals of different sizes that reflect the light from above, causing the forest to be filled with a pale blue glow. Rivira The exceptionally high ceiling is filled with brilliant shining crystals of two colors: white crystals in the center that resemble the sun and blue crystals surrounding it that resemble the sky. The amount of light from the crystals depends on the time and cycles through the day. On an eastern side of the island facing the lake stands the city of Rivira. It is located 200 meters above the lake on a cliff. Level 2 adventurers would need to be extremely capable to reach this floor solo. 19th-24th Floor The 19th through 24th Floors are known as the Large Tree Labryinth. The walls, ground, and ceiling are made out of wood, making it seem like the inside of a giant tree. Instead of phosphorescent light, radiating moss grows across the floor and gives off blue light. These floors contain a large amount of unexplored areas and a large variety of insect-type monsters. The plant diversity on these floors often provides ingredients used to make healing items, which results in many resource gathering quests being issued for this area. The 24th Floor is at least half the size of Orario and there are rare trees that produce valuable gems, which are guarded by Green Dragons, the strongest monsters on the floor. There is a Xenos Hidden Village located on the 20th floor. The Large Tree Labyrinth is filled with monsters that inflict poison and others whose base potential exceed a Minotaur's. Even with a large party, it is difficult to explore the region with only Level 2 adventurers. It is also very difficult for Level 3 adventurers to solo the region. On the 20th Floor, a Level 1 supporter needs to be in a party with a good balance of mages and healers or, in a rare case, must be a very capable supporter and well equipped like Lili. Adventurers are recommended to have above average Level 2 status and the Abnormal Resistance development ability to explore the region. The standard for 24th Floor is Level 2 with basic abilities of at least C. Lower Floors 25th-27th Floor The entrance to the 25th Floor is known as the Second Line. The 25th through 27th Floors are known as the Water City. The 25th Floor marks the beginning of the Great Fall, a huge waterfall estimated to be 400 meters wide and twice that in length, which lasts until the 27th Floor. The 25th Floor is also described as being a paradise of water. In order to move on to the next floor, adventurers must navigate through a series of passageways varying in elevation around the waterfall to reach the passageway at the bottom of their current floor. The bottom of the waterfall basin on the 27th Floor leads out to Melen's Lolog Lake, though it's unknown where the water goes now due to the exit being sealed using the Leviathan's remains. The Monster Rex Amphisbaena is located here and can freely move between the floors and the labyrinth area. There is a Xenos Hidden Village located on the 27th Floor. The standard for adventurers exploring the Water City is Level 3 since the region is filled with monsters that Level 2 adventurers could barely handle and the terrain is more difficult than in the floors above. Even Level 4 adventurers like Aisha would have difficulty trying to solo the region. Having Undine Cloth is recommended when exploring the region, which has so much water. 28th Floor The 28th floor is a safety point called the Under Garden which is like a field of flowers. The fantastic scenery of the floor is described to be close to like the forest of elvesโ flower garden. The floor is smaller and more narrow than the Under Resort. 29th-32nd Floor The 29th through 32nd Floors is a forest area called the Jungle Ravine. A large jungle different from the Large Tree Labyrinth spreads out and strong dinosaur-type monsters, such as Bloodsaurus, begin to appear in the region. It is absolutely required to have at least Level 3 adventurers to fight the monsters there since they are impossible for Level 2 adventurers to kill. Even a Level 4 like Hashana required a powerful magic sword to reach the 30th Floor alone. The Juggernaut spawned for the first time on the 30th Floor. 33rd-36th Floor The 33rd through 36th Floor is a desert area called the Sand Land and it is the last region in the Lower Floors. As the name suggested, it is a vast, endless desert. No maze-like tunnels, just an open expanse of golden sand, rolling dunes, and the occasional twisted cactus-like plant. The loose sand made the movements of adventurers more difficult and monsters would erupt from the ground without warning, turning the entire floor into a living minefield of ambushes. Mana-infused mirages shimmered across the landscape, bending perception, twisting direction, which only veterans or those with special gear could overcome. It was said that even seasoned adventurers often lost their way and their lives here. Due to these features, it is recommended for adventurers to be at least Level 4 in order to explore these floors. On each of the 33rd to 35th Floors there is a huge red crystal on the ceiling that shines like a sun, creating scorching heat throughout the floors. On the 36th Floor the surrounding is replaced with that of a night desert with low temperature, and there is an oasis area where adventurers normally use as a resting area. Deep Floors 37th Floor The 37th Floor is known as the White Palace as the walls, ground, and ceiling are colored white, with the floor being a giant labyrinth. The floor is on a different scale than the floors above it, as the space between hallways, rooms, and walls is huge. The entrance to the 38th Floor is located at the center of the floor, which is where the Monster Rex, Udaeus, is located, and around it are five huge circular walls that adventurers have to navigate through to reach the center. Bell likens the 37th Floor to a cake in a box and it's said that the floor is large enough to contain Orario. The walls are numbered 1-5 starting from the innermost wall and the area between two walls is referred to as different rooms; the Udaeus' area inside the 1st wall is the Throne Room and, from there, the Knight's Room, the Warrior's Room, the Soldier's Room, and the Beast's Room. The area between the walls gets smaller the closer to the Throne Room and the labyrinth becomes more complicated. In the eastern area of the Warrior's Room, there is a place known as the Colosseum. It is the largest room on the floor in which monsters constantly fight each other. The room spawns monsters non-stop until a certain amount is reached, which is quickly replenished each time it decreases, being an unlimited supply of monsters. It is surrounded by an abyss 50 meters deep with four gates located in the north, south, east, and west, each with a bridge that allows access to the Colosseum. The Colosseum was created by the Dungeon as an experimental site to create the Xenos, but it ended up a failure. There is a passage under the Colosseum, which is a safe area where monsters don't spawn, and it has a spring of water. The safe area was intended to be a place where the Xenos born in the Colosseum could escape to. Following the stream of water leads to a white ore with a stairway behind it. The top of the stairway has another white ore, which opens up to a dead end located near the 4th wall. Monsters with potential up to Level 4 spawn at much faster rate than monsters on previous floors, and so it is recommended for adventurers to be at least Level 4 with basic abilities at D in order to explore the floor. 38th-39th Floor The 38th Floor has an environment completely different from the 37th floor. The 39th Floor is a safety point called the Under Bridge. 44th-48th Floor The 44th through 48th Floors are known as the Crimson Mountains, which look like an area inside a volcano. The walls, ground, and ceiling are colored burning red and distorted rocks lie on the ground across the floor. Along the walls are cracks that are colored black, which make it seem like it carbonized. Red light shine lightly from inside the cracks, giving off an eerie presence. 49th Floor The 49th Floor is known as Moytura and is a huge room. No grass or trees grow on the desolate ground. The rocks and the sand are all a reddish brown color. It also contains the Monster Rex, Balor. 50th Floor The 50th Floor is another safety point where no monsters are born. However, just like the 18th Floor, monsters can come to the floor from above or below. Gray colored trees cover the floor up until the end of the floor. Vein like rivers run endlessly through the trees. 51st-58th Floor The 51st through 57th Floors are a labyrinth, which is rare on the deeper floors. The walls, ground, and ceiling are flat and the structure makes it seem that it was carefully measured. Many corners and crossroads exist across the floors. The 58th Floor is one vast room. The walls, ground, and ceiling are made of graphite and resemble a huge rectangular room. It contains a large number of Valgang Dragons. The floors starting from the 52nd Floor are also called the Dragon's Vase, as the Valgang Dragons on the 58th Floor lock onto adventurer positions and fire flares through multiple floors as far as the 52nd Floor. Adventurers on these floors must keep moving fast to avoid being hit by the attacks from Valgang Dragons while fighting the monsters that are strong enough to knock down Level 5 adventurers, making it difficult for even Level 6 adventurers to pass through these floors. 59th-65th Floor The 59th through 65th Floors are known as the Glacier Territory, with glacial lake streams, fierce cold, and ice covering the area. However, the Corrupted Spirit that was dwelling on the 60th Floor modified the terrain of the floor along with the 59th Floor. The 59th Floor became a jungle-like area overgrown with eerie plants. Past the jungle area was a large area in gray color that was covered with the ashes of countless dead monsters. It is currently unknown if the modified floors returned to their original state after the Corrupted Spirit was destroyed. There was previously an area between the 60th and 61st floors called Thalia's Ice Garden. It is considered the most dangerous area in the Dungeon that even Zeus and Hera Familias gave up on exploring. According to Riveria, the ice garden was created through a special ritual and is noted to have a strong connection to the ancient high elf queen Celdia. The area is hit with endless cycle of nearly instantaneous freezing that can cause even Level 7 adventurers and monsters to freeze to death, as well as experience mental corruption via pouring memories of lifetimes long passed to turn invaders into guardsmen. The ice garden was blasted to an unknown lower floor by a Demi Spirit through the use of the Gate of Heaven ritual spell. According to a report by Zald, ancient heroes that surpass even the modern age of mythological heroes reside there. --- <Hostess of Fertility> ## Overview: The Hostess of Fertility is a well known pub in Orario. Information The owner, Mia Grand, opened the pub after she semi retired as an adventurer. The pub caters to citizens during the afternoon and adventurers during the night. Their menu and prices change between the two times. The Hostess of Fertility sits on a brick lined street. It is a two story building made of stone that has the depth of a neat inn. As it is located along the Western Main Street, it is usually filled with a lot of customers. The front entrance has a set of double doors with wood carvings decorating the frame. Carvings can be seen in various places on the front of the pub. The Hostess of Fertility sign can be seen on the left side of the entrance, as well as on an overhanging sign with a crossed fork and knife. The Hostess of Fertility has a separate wooden building that has a large inner garden. A separate building had been planned to be built there, but was canceled, leaving the garden vacant. However, due to the planned construction, a section of the garden was paved with stone. All the staff of the Hostess of Fertility pub are female. It is an interracial business, accepting employees from all races and is full of people with shady pasts that Mia took in and takes care of. As the employees are used to fighting, any unwanted behavior can cause people to be thrown out of the pub and out onto the street, something passerby are used to seeing. They possess strength of upper class adventurers, able to fight against the Freya Familiaโs Level 3-4 members. Majority of them have converted to the Demeter and Njord Familias. Uniform The Hostess of Fertility employee uniform consists of: A green above the knee dress with long puffed sleeves and a white collar. Mia's is colored blue. White Apron and headband Small orange bow under the collar Black leggings Short brown, ankle boots Menu: Most of the menu of the pub is unknown, but it is known that the menu ranges anywhere from noodles, roasted meats, soups, as well as various kinds of alcohol. The food at the Hostess of Fertility is mentioned to taste the best, and Mia's fruit liquor tastes good enough to make people frequent the pub. - Members Mia Grand Race: Dwarf Occupation: Propriestress Level: 6 Status: Active Syr Flova Race: Human Occupation: Waitress Level: None Status: Active Ryuu Lion Race: Elf Occupation: Waitress Level: 6 Status: Active Anya Fromel Race: Cat People Occupation: Waitress Level: 4 Status: Active Chloe Rollo Race: Cat People Occupation: Waitress Level: 4 Status: Active Lunoire Race: Human Occupation: Waitress Level: 4 Status: Active May Race: Cat People Occupation: Chef Level: None Status: Active Beryl Race: Occupation: Level: Status: Active Faye Race: Occupation: Level: Status: Active Rosie Race: Occupation: Level: Status: Active --- <Falna> ## Overview: The Falna is the grace, sometimes called blessing, given by Gods and Goddesses to their familia members. Information The Gods gave falna to adventurers to bring forth heroes, and the first God to give out a falna was Ouranos. Those with a falna gain a superhuman physical prowess upon being bestowed with it and can gather excelia to raise their status and grow even stronger. Inanimate objects can seemingly be given a falna, as Mikoto's skill considered the Hestia Knife to be part of the familia. The falna is represented as something known as Status, which is the falna itself set as various parameters. It is made up of basic abilities, development abilities, magic, skills, and the overall level. It manifests itself physically in a form similar to a tattoo as a mass of text with all its characteristics detailed, as well as the corresponding familia's emblem. In order to protect its valuable contents, Gods have developed a method by which they are able to hide their familia members' statuses, only revealing them for updates. However, since it is all written in hieroglyphs, the language of the Gods, very few mortals are actually able to read it. Only the respective patron God can unveil and update a person's status. Nonetheless, there exist items which allow others to do so, even if they aren't Gods themselves. Beyond the abilities shown in a person's status, merely possessing a falna grants a few enhancements; namely, heightened senses, longevity, and augmented endurance. This series of effects are further increased with each rank up one achieves. The improvement is also shown to be proportional rather than put everyone at the same level. Beast Humans are known for possessing better senses than most people, and those with falna have been accordingly demonstrated to boast better senses than other people with falna. It is possible to attain superhuman power without a falna, even to the point of being comparable to people of a high level, most prominently shown with the heroes of Ancient Times. However, those with falna gain access to better magic, skills, and such, and so they ultimately excel as the definitive better ones. A familia's God is responsible for the upgraded <Skills> that adventurers possess. Therefore a God's return to heaven, would result in the 'sealing' of their children's <Status>. Parameters Level: The level shows the rank of a person. It is the most important part of the status, since even a difference of just one level represents a significant power gap. A person's status is considered classified information, but due to its importance, in Orario it is mandatory that an adventurer's level be reported to the Guild. Most dependents around the world are Level 1, and currently the highest rank worldwide is Level 7, held by a total of only five: Ottar, Finn, Riveria, Gareth, and Leon. However, the Osiris, Zeus, and Hera Familias are known to have had at least one Level 7 each in the past, with the latter two also having a Level 8 and a Level 9 respectively. Outside of Orario, few people make it past Level 1, and Level 3 is considered excellent. Basic Abilities: The Basic Abilities are Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, and Magic. Each one is shown with a rank and a number from 0-999. 0-99 is I, 100-199 is H, 200-299 is G, 300-399 is F, 400-499 is E, 500-599 is D, 600-699 is C, 700-799 is B, 800-899 is A, and 900-999 is S. However, it is very difficult for anyone to maximize their status as each individual has their own strengths and weaknesses. For example, an Elf mage can reach S rank in their magic stat, but since it is difficult for them to raise their strength and endurance stats they cannot increase them significantly. Though, regardless of which are one's limits, it is still a quite arduous task for anyone to max out their status. When adventurers rank up, their last status usually has Cs and Ds, and Bs at best. Almost no one reaches the highest rank, S, and doing so even in just one stat is an achievement worth celebrating. It is normally impossible to go past S rank, though Bell and Alfia have done this through Liaris Freese and unknown means respectively, having had statuses in the SS and SSS ranks. Though their ranges have not been specifically stated, they are assumed to be 1000-1199 for SS and 1200+ for SSS. Basic abilities can be raised through excelia gained from training and battles. They reset to I0 at every rank up, although those gained before each rank up will remain as an invisible base. As such, they can play a decisive role in a battle between opponents of the same level. Because of it some Gods even postpone ranking up certain dependents to raise their basic abilities. Loki however noted that the effort and time it takes to instead max out a stat, not to mention the great boost granted to all of one's abilities, makes it better to just rank up most of time. This has led to it being a practice performed only by strong familias, and even then just with particularly important dependents. Stats of the current level nonetheless are also quite important; for example, Argana and Bache were superior in terms of status to Tione and Tiona due to having ranked up a bit before them. Development Abilities: See Development Abilities. Skill: See Skills. Magic: See Magic. Curses: See Curse. Improvement To improve their statuses in any form, dependents need to gather excelia. Excelia is experience points and can be obtained through actions, such as by fighting monsters or brewing potions. There are two types of excelia. The regular type is used by Gods to improve upon their followers' status other than level. Examples of this are unlocking certain development abilities that can be chosen to be obtained when ranking up, or to raise an adventurer's basic abilities. The second type is called high-rank excelia and is used by Gods to rank up their followers after enough has been accumulated. High-rank excelia is gained by accomplishing things that even the Gods would be impressed with, such as defeating stronger opponents. Regardless of the type, a God can refrain from adding all the excelia a dependent has gathered in a single update for whatever reason they may have, preventing the raise of basic abilities or developing new abilities such as magic or skills. Fortunately, the excelia isn't lost and remains available to be added at any point later on. While a dependent is only supposed to be able to update their status by going to their patron deity, there is an item called Status Snitch that allows another person to use the collected excelia to raise their stats. However, it is impossible to use it to rank up someone or make them manifest new magics or skills. Rank Up A Rank Up is the act of ascending one's status to the next level. Just defeating monsters doesn't lead to a rank up. To rank up, one must have at least a D rank in one basic ability and accumulate enough high-rank excelia that it overflows one's container, thus enabling them to rank up. This is not an automatic process; one's God has to consciously make the decision to rank up a dependent. Upon ranking up, a person receives a vast increase to all of their basic, development, and all other abilities. The increase in stats is what effectively makes one superior to all those from lower levels, since it is better than any mere status update, no matter of how many hundreds of points it is. For example, a Level 5 Ais with her strength and endurance stats at rank D and her dexterity and agility stats at rank A suffered a crushing defeat against Revis even when using her enchantment magic Ariel, which is praised for its abnormally high potency, the same opponent against whom she maintained a slight but clear advantage in a lengthy battle without resorting to her magic, despite having just become Level 6. In spite of its benefits, the suddenly gained power also causes a desynchronization between one's mind and body which diminishes their combat ability. Luckily said drawback can be quickly overcome by fighting a strong opponent or a great amount of enemies in order to grow fully accustomed to one's heightened prowess. It is possible to do consecutive rank ups at once when enough normal and high-rank excelia are collected. To do this, all of the excelia collected are not added immediately in a single status update but in batches to allow rank up procedures to be done consecutively. However, a God may choose to not raise their follower straight to the highest level possible at once and instead have them spend some time in the levels in-between in order for their body to get accustomed to the extreme amount of increase in power. According to Astraea, if Ryuu had received consecutive rank ups at once and went from Level 4 to Level 6 immediately, the desynchronization between her mind and body could have lasted as long as a month. Excelia Gathering Hestia once explained to Bell that hard and honest work is the only way to earn excelia, as it is a dependent's seriousness what determines whether or not an experience yields excelia. The severity of an experience also ends up being an important factor. A person gets more excelia facing opponents than training on their own. Training with weaker foes isn't the same as training with someone as strong as or stronger than oneself. Ultimately, training alone also has its limits, as nothing compares to a real fight. When Bell became Level 2 people assumed he just dealt the killing blow to a Minotaur which had been weakened by the Loki Familia. Hermes however noted the falna couldn't be "fooled" like that, further reinforcing the point that excelia gains are proportional to how much of a challenge something is. However, it is possible to trivialize a task with own's one abilities and still gain a lot of excelia from it, at least high-rank excelia. Seale was a mercenary with an illusory curse, so he could easily kill people while they were distracted. He didn't do much to eliminate his targets, hence his stats were extremely low, yet reached Level 4 thanks to all the high-rank excelia from killing people of a higher level than his. As one reaches higher levels, obtaining excelia becomes increasingly difficult. This problem becomes even more pronounced starting at Level 5, as containers from that level onward are significantly "wider, longer, and taller" than those from earlier levels. A way to somewhat circumvent this problem is to temporarily stop updating a dependent's status so that all the challenges they face are harder than if they had been steadily growing stronger. This causes them to yield more excelia and therefore makes it easier to max out one's status. This was best exemplified by Ryuu. Under normal circumstances, she would have already been Level 5 by the time the Great Faction War occurred. But since she spent five years stuck at Level 4, the excelia she collected during that time was far more than if she had actually ascended to Level 5, enough to reach Level 6. Although it's the same principle used to max out stats, trying to replicate her case is a very risky feat, one that not even the Loki Familia would dare attempt, as doing so would drastically increase the risk of members dying. In addition to all this, living new experiences seems to also be important. Tiona and Tione are equal in terms of combat ability and know each other very well, so there is no better training partner for either. However, since they have fought countless times in the past, they no longer gain much excelia that way, although it is still more effective than going to the Deep Floors. Since great challenges are needed to gain high-rank excelia, ranking up is hard to do outside of Orario due to the only Dungeon being located there, and Level 3 outside of Orario is considered to be excellent. Although ranking up is generally a hazardous task, those who have gained combat skills before receiving a falna are usually able to do so without difficulty. Level Gap Because of the enhancements obtained by ranking up, the current era operates under the principle of quality over quantity. A single person can face and even defeat three people just one level below them. In the Dungeon, Monster Rexes, who overall typically classify just two levels higher than the adventurers who frequent the floors on which they appear, often require the combined efforts of dozens of adventurers to defeat. The greatest example shown in the franchise was the Battle of Shindo, in which eight first class adventurers overwhelmingly defeated an army of eighty thousand warriors, including countless Level 2s and multiple Level 3s, without receiving any injuries or showing any signs of fatigue after the fight. However, as definitive as it may seem, there are ways to overcome this barrier. Some abilities allow their users to perform briefly and/or under certain conditions even better than people of higher levels in certain areas, while others permanently increase certain stats of a person beyond their true level. On the other hand, there are exceptionally talented individuals who manifest abilities that can temporarily increase their user's entire status beyond their actual level. Oomori once explained that individuals of the "class of Alfia and Zald", being that these two possessed abilities described as "cheats", can easily overcome the level gap, as their abilities permanently grant them statuses beyond their real level. --- <Guild> ## Overview: The Guild is an organization that manages Familia within Orario and provides services to adventurers. History: The guild succeeded a group of people who fought the monsters in the Dungeon without God's Grace. - Appearance:The main building of the Guild is called the Pantheon. It is a wide space with counters for adventurers to talk with their advisors and also has an exchange area. There are also small meeting boxes where adventurers can talk one on one with their advisor without anyone else hearing them. Aside from that, there is a library area. Most employees work on the first floor of the building while the high-ranking officials work on the second floor. - Information: The main goal of the Guild is to manage the monster threat created in the Dungeon. Aside from this, the Guild buys magic stones, drop loot, and adventurer created maps of the Dungeon. The Guild also provides weapons and armor to new adventurers who are just starting out. The Guild staff also take the position of advisors for adventurers, often suggesting to what depth an adventurer should go in a Dungeon in accordance to their level and skills, as well as warning them of any special dangers of certain floors and how to prepare against them. A staff member may be in charge of one or more adventurers. The Guild has several branch offices outside Orario, one of which is in Melen. The Melen branch office oversees the harbor and controls the various trade goods going in and out of Orario. Underneath the Guild is the Room of Prayer, where Ouranos is located. Ouranos stays in this room and uses his divinity as a "prayer" in order to prevent the monsters in the Dungeon from leaving it. - Uniform: The standard Guild uniform is a set of black vest and pants with a white collared long sleeve shirt underneath and a grey bow tie. The only distinguishing feature between the two genders is having black and brown boots for males and black shoes for females. Both male and female Guild staff are required to wear this uniform in the Guild. - members Ouranos Race: God Occupation: God Level: None Status: Active Royman Mardeel Race: Elf Occupation: Guild Head Level: None Status: Active Rehmer Race: Chienthrope Occupation: Guild Section Leader Level: None Status: Active Eina Tulle Race: Half Elf Occupation: Guild Employee Level: None Status: Active Misha Flott Race: Human Occupation: Guild Employee Level: None Status: Active Rose Fannett Race: Werewolf Occupation: Guild Employee Level: None Status: Active Sophie Race: Elf Occupation: Guild Employee Level: None Status: Active Fels Race: Unknown Occupation: Ouranos' aide Level: 4 Status: Active Rubato Ryan Race: Human Occupation: Melen Branch Head (former) Level: None Status: Left Guild Guild Missions: Missions are quest-like orders given out by the Guild. Reputation - Public: The Hestia Familia began attracting attention since Bell became the new Record Holder. Since the War Game with Apollo Familia, they have been the center of numerous events that have sparked the interest of and shocked all of Orario. Their achievements are as well-known as their Goddess' debt, which has led to everyone refraining from joining despite their fame. This doesn't stop the citizens from speaking excitedly, at least, of Bell and showing their appreciation. Their fame grew even more after their victory in the Great Faction War. While going from a familia with a single rookie adventurer to one of the most prominent of the "center of the world" in just over half a year has earned them praise and acclaim, their sudden rise has also brought them unwanted attention. It's almost certain that familias that have worked hard to grow gradually bear a grudge against them. Lili pointed out that attempts to grow further, such as recruiting students from the School District, would make them appear to be a dangerous faction. - Guild: Due to their meteoric growth and unusual circumstances, the Guild is unsure how to treat the Hestia Familia and has had to make several exceptions for them, such as their official rank. After the Great Faction War, there were many opinions within the institution that they should be promoted to A rank, before they were finally assigned B rank. However, they are listed as "B (S)" in official documents issued to the Guild's upper management and selected employees, since, due to Freya becoming a subordinate Goddess of Hestia, in their eyes they have absorbed Freya Familia. Royman is aware that they would be unable to control them, hence their "low" rank to reduce the burden of how much they must pay in taxes. Nonetheless, the presence of two first class adventurers means they could not be given a rank lower than B. Although the problems they cause the Guild have become especially pronounced since the Great Faction War, Eina noted that things have been this way since Bell reached Level 2. - Organization: The Hestia Familia started out with Bell as its first member; for a while he was their only member, in part due to Hestia's laziness to recruit others, along with her desire to keep Bell to herself. Several of Bell's allies later joined the familia in order to help him in the War Game against Apollo Familia. However, despite their newfound fame after their victory, further recruitment of members failed after Hestia's debt to Hephaestus was revealed. At present, they still remain a small-size familia, having only six members. During his time in the School District Bell befriended Nina Tulle, who went on to apply for an internship in his familia. Since she has not received Hestia's falna, she is not an official member. However, she will live and work alongside them for the duration of the program. Furthermore, Hestia has agreed to let Nina officially join the familia if she decides to do so. After Lili, Welf, and Mikoto joined, Hestia decided to establish a few rules. Everyone has to be home by 10 p.m. unless there's an emergency, and if they need to do anything, they must let her know beforehand. Additionally, when they go to the Dungeon, they must inform her which floor they're going to. They also have to eat breakfast and dinner together as a way to strengthen their bond as a familia, although in the afternoon it's not mandatory since their jobs make it difficult for everyone to get together. As the most senior member of the faction, and given the trust the others have in him, Bell was appointed captain when he was no longer the sole member. However, unlike in other factions, the management of the familia's finances falls primarily to Lili, who took on the role of treasurer after learning of Hestia's large debt. She and Hestia often discuss administrative matters of the familia, even without Bell. Since she was already a full-time supporter before joining, Lili plays that role during their Dungeon explorations, but in addition to that she became the group's commander shortly before their first expedition. Haruhime has also learned to be a supporter, and outside the Dungeon she cleans their home as a maid. Everyone also takes turns preparing meals. - Relationships Internal: The familia manages to function thanks to the balance brought by the different personalities of its members. They all complement each other, even in their everyday interactions. Although several of them are overly kind, they still maintain a balance, whether due to Bell's or Hestia's virtues. Bell and Haruhime are quite naive, ignoring some things and easily trusting others. Mikoto and Welf are neutral, neither too naive nor cold. They are careful but evaluate things before forming a definitive opinion, especially the blacksmith. Lili is a realistic, slightly cynical, girl who can seem cruel, but whose caution only seeks to protect her familia. Everyone trusts Bell despite his flaws, as his actions attract others no matter how foolish. That's why the rest believe in him and try to help him, especially Hestia. Lili and Hestia form the core of the familia, even more so than Bell, which is why the former often serves as the faction's brains, especially in the Dungeon where the Goddess cannot enter. Welf often acts as an advisor, since even Lili frequently asks for his opinion. External: The Hestia Familia has gained several allies over time. Members of the Miach and Takemikazuchi Familias took advantage of them in the past, but after these incidents were resolved, both factions became close friends. They have gone on expeditions together and supported them in times of need. Initially a hater of Bell due to his sudden fame upon reaching Level 2, Mord became a huge fan of him after the boy saved him during the Black Goliath incident and witnessing him slay the monster. Since then, he has come to his aid whenever he can. Several other adventurers went through the same experience, leading them to assist him as well at least once. As the son of a dependent of Zeus and because of the potential he has shown, Hermes took an interest in Bell and has assisted his familia a few times. Given how important Haruhime and Bell are to her, Aisha has also helped them on several occasions, regardless of what her familia says. Due to their past experiences with people, some Xenos distrusted them and even rejected them when they first met them. However, after their many arduous efforts to help them, especially Bell's, they have earned their appreciation. Lyd, their leader, claimed they will help them whenever they need it, and he has remained true to his word. Since the "absorption" of Freya Familia, the Einherjars often help the Hestia Familia. Although they don't assist them on Dungeon explorations, they sometimes act as guardians, staying in the Hearth Mansion to protect their home, especially Haruhime, and dealt with those who tried to go after Ryuu after finding out Gale was alive. - Base: The Hestia Familia formerly lived in the basement of an old abandoned church that was given to Hestia by Hephaestus. A secret door led to the basement which was in a P shape. The church was destroyed by Apollo Familia during their attack, however, the basement was later used to hide Wiene. The Hestia Familia home is known as the Hearth Mansion. It is the former Apollo Familia home that was given to them after winning the War Game. The Hearth Mansion is a grand three-floored mansion with a large iron fence around it. The home also has an inner garden, corridors, and a large front garden with flowers and trees. Ever since then, they have frequently been recognized as one of the most powerful familias in the city, second only to their rivals, the Freya Familia. Currently, as of the Great Faction War and the official disbanding of Freya Familia, they are now regarded as Orario's most prominent and strongest faction. As a faction focused on Dungeon exploration, the Loki Familia regularly goes on expeditions. They recently became the record holders for going the deepest out of all the current factions, having reached the 59th Floor. - Organization: In terms of hierarchy, currently, most of the first class members are the executives and the main force of the Familia. The sole exception is Aki, who, despite her ascension to Level 5, was left as part of the second string to continue serving as a connection between the executives and low-ranking members. The Level 4 members make up the second string group, which directly supports the main force and serve as the bridge between the executives and the lower ranking members. The Level 3 and lower adventurers are considered low-ranking members in the Familia; a notable exception was Lefiya, who, even as a Level 3, was usually treated as one of the second string members, possibly due to her outstanding abilities. Thanks to their vast strength, their members are able to experience a stable and complete growth, as high ranking members often help the others to become stronger. Due to Loki's womanizing nature, all of the women in the Familia are extremely beautiful and the proportion of women far exceeds that of men. - Fighting Power: The Loki Familia specializes in teamwork, allowing them to exploit their individual abilities to the fullest. However, despite their remarkable coordination as a group, the Familia suffers from a common weakness in their method, which is that, if they are separated, their combat capacity is greatly reduced. There is also a large gap in power and skill between the executives and the rest of the members. Because of this, the lower ranking members tend to rely on the executives while supporting them. - Base: The Loki Familia's home is known as the Twilight Manor. The Twilight Manor is described to be a huge structure built on a small area of land. Multiple tall towers overlap and support each other, with the middle tower being the tallest. The home is also described as being carved out from flames. - Members: Loki Race: God Occupation: God Rank: God Level: None Status: Active Finn Deimne Race: Pallum Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Top Executive/Captain Level: 7 Status: Active Riveria Ljos Alf Race: High Elf Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Top Executive/Vice-Captain Level: 7 Status: Active Gareth Landrock Race: Dwarf Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Top Executive Level: 7 Status: Active Ais Wallenstein Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 6 Status: Active Tione Hiryute Race: Amazoness Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 6 Status: Active Tiona Hiryute Race: Amazoness Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 6 Status: Active Bete Loga Race: Werewolf Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 6 Status: Active Lefiya Viridis Race: Elf Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Second String Level: 4 Status: Active Raul Nord Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Second String Level: 5 Status: Active Anakitty Autumn Race: Cat People Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Second String Level: 5 Status: Active Alicia Forestlight Race: Elf Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Second String Level: 4 Status: Active Narvi Roll Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Second String Level: 4 Status: Active Cruz Bussell Race: Chienthrope Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Second String Level: 4 Status: Active Rakta Haze Race: Hume Bunny Occupation: Adventurer Rank: None Level: 3 Status: Active Line Arshe Race: Human Occupation: Supporter/Healer Rank: None Level: 2 Status: Deceased Elfy Colette Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer Rank: None Level: 3 Status: Active Orba Race: Beast Human Occupation: Supporter Rank: None Level: 4 Status: Active Lox Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Active Cynthia Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Active Arcs Race: Human Occupation: Rank: Level: 4 Status: Active Lloyd Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Deceased Claire Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Deceased Anju Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Deceased Liza Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Deceased Kalos Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Deceased Remilia Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Deceased Kevin Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Unknown Morel Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Active Carmilia Race: Occupation: Rank: Level: Status: Active Sharon Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Level: 4 Status: Active Sonia Race: Elf Occupation: Unknown Rank: None Level: 3-4 Status: Active Noir Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer Rank: None Level: 4 Status: Deceased Dain Race: Dwarf Occupation: Adventurer Rank: None Level: 4 Status: Deceased Bara Race: Amazoness Occupation: Adventuere Rank: None Level: 4 Status: Deceased --- <Hermes Familia> ## Overview: The Hermes Familia is an exploration type Familia that is led by Hermes. - Information: Although the Hermes Familia is an exploration type familia, they will try anything as long as it brings them profit. Hermes is usually absent and Asfi takes care of the familia while he's gone. Unlike other familias, the Hermes Familia purposely doesn't report rank ups to the Guild. The highest level members are known to be registered as is Level 2, including the Level 3 Lulune and Level 4 Asfi. To further hide their real fighting power some members instead supposedly belong to other familias, like Aisha who according to official records is part of the Plutus Familia. They also don't report to the Guild how far into the Dungeon they've gone. Officially, the deepest floor they've reached is Floor 19, but in reality, they've explored as far as Floor 37, though Lulune pointed out the monsters in there were too strong for them. During their expeditions, they employ Asfi's Hades Heads to remain undetected. The Hermes Familia often accepts missions from the Guild to trace black market good sellers. Due to this, they are trusted by the Guild and are free to enter and exit Orario. Some of the members spend more time collecting information outside Orario. Ouranos and Fels work closely with Hermes for multiple extra official tasks, leaving the faction privy to several secrets, like the Xenos' existence. While Hermes naturally knows them well it is unclear how much his dependents know or treat them though, as Fels once resorted to threatening Lulune so the familia fulfilled a task for them, rather than simply ask them to do it. As a faction specialized in intelligence gathering, they have an extensive intelligence network. Because of this, although all members possess combat skills, most are also skilled at intelligence gathering, and very few are solely combatants, with Falgar being one of these rare cases. The Hermes Familia also maintains good relations with many other factions and businesses. Despite this, Hermes also resorts sometimes to getting dirt about familias just in case he needs to blackmail them in the future. The Hermes Familia home is known as the Traveler's Inn and their emblem is a feathered hat with wings next to it. They were regarded as the strongest faction in the city. - Reputation: The Freya Familia is one of the most prominent factions in Orario and have often acted together with the Loki Familia as their main figures after banishing Zeus and Hera fifteen years ago following their downfall. Ever since then, they have frequently been recognized as the most powerful familia in the city. Though respected like Loki Familia, the members are feared by the general populace and they have a strained relationship with Loki's faction, who have been their rivals since long ago. - Organization: The Freya Familia is mainly composed of combatants who are each known as an Einherjar and dedicate themselves to training. They also have their own medical team called the Andhrรญmnir, who are led by Heith Velvet. The group is made up of herbalists and healers in charge of healing the einherjars, as well as cooking and preparing meals for them since Mia left. Freya also had a group of attendants with Horn serving as her head chamberlain. Other than them, only the captain was granted the duty and honor of being by their Goddess' side everyday as her servant. They have a total of 157 members, including the largest number of healers among all of the familias in Orario. However their influence ran deeper and by the time of the Great Faction War if non-combatants, followers of Freya who did not have her falna, and believers, people who worshipped the Goddess Freya on their own, were included, the total number of "members" reached over 5,000. Of all the actual members, Ottar is the one who has been the longest in the familia, as all who joined before him were gone by the time of Orario's Dark Age. While all of the executives serve as leaders, whenever they perform an operation that involves the familia at large, the planning is left entirely to Hedin due to his unparalleled prowess as a commander among the faction. While he seems to assist Ottar to a degree, the overall administration of the familia, such as their finances, still falls unto the captain. Unlike their rivals, the Freya Familia has no sense of unity. Each and every member has sworn their loyalty to Freya, but most yearn to gain her love only for themselves. As such, they constantly are found at odds with each other, incapable of even basic cooperation unless they are on a mission for their Goddess. Despite that, they have remained fiercely loyal even after Freya fell completely for Bell, working more than once to secure him for her, despite being extremely jealous of Bell. - Training: Though they have been known to explore the Dungeon, reaching as far as the 58th Floor, the Freya Familia's lack of cooperation makes expeditions difficult, with the last one ending in failure after all the executives began fighting each other. Instead, their main training method are death matches which they refer to as "baptism". Due to their intense hostility and rivalry with each other for Freya's love, they face each other in battles to the death from sunrise to sunset. Back when they had a base, they fought in its large garden in a barbaric free-for-all where everyone sought a new opponent the moment they defeated their current one. In spite of resorting to such a brutal method, the familia could keep it up without suffering even a single casualty thanks to their amazing medical team. Heith, in fact, is capable of taking care of all the injured if she so wishes. Since their official dissolution, they have moved to training in the Dungeon. Following their hellish training, the members used to gather in their home's dining hall, where they ate from a great feast in order to have the energy needed for the next day's training. This custom was adopted by members preceding Ottar and his generation. The only combatants not allowed to fight are the executives of the familia who make up all their first class adventurers. Due to their power, the loss of even one of them would be severely detrimental to the faction and his defeat would give other familias an opportunity to take advantage of. This is why duels between executives at their base were forbidden. However, it was shown that there is no problem with them fighting in the Dungeon when the rest of the executives once took advantage of Ottar going on an expedition to fight him. - Fighting Power: the Freya Familia were generally feared as the most powerful familia in Orario, having many high-level adventurers, including the, at the time, only Level 7 adventurer, Ottar, as a member. Their captain's might was best exemplified in the Great Faction War, where he demonstrated the ability to achieve Level 8 prowess with his skill Vana Arganture, requiring the combined efforts of four pseudo Level 7s just to leave him out of combat for five minutes. Before announcing his and his fellow top executives' rank ups to Level 7, Finn acknowledged that Ottar made it impossible for the Loki Familia, Orario's second strongest faction, to win against the Freya Familia. Furthermore, while Loki believed the Boaz to no longer be a big deal after her top three members reached Level 7, Finn speculated that he will soon rank up. Besides him, their main force consists of Allen, hailed as the fastest in the city; Hedin and Hogni, famed as the most brutal magic swordsmen; and the Gulliver Brothers, renowned for having the best teamwork in Orario. The majority of the other over 100 members are Level 2 or 3. At least fifty of all of the members are second class adventurers and they alone make up a force equivalent to around 20 middle-ranking familias. Bell noted that the einherjars are far stronger than adventurers of the same level from other familias and, due to their training method, they have also developed high levels of endurance and stamina. Though not a combatant, Heith is also a great fighting asset. Thanks to her skills as a healer, second in Orario only to Airmid's, she can continuously bring back the einherjars to full health in the middle of a battle within mere moments, essentially turning them into an army of "undying" warriors. Together with the rest of the Andhrรญmnir, their healing output surpasses that of the Loki Familia and can stand up to their firepower even with the Fairy Force included. Their abilities are so great that in a battle between the two factions, the familia of the group that fell first would lose. - Paraphernalia: The uniform of the einherjars is called Glorious Familia Cloth. It is white and silver (lilac in the anime) in color and has an excellent quality as battle clothes. Members who are Level 3 or higher are allowed to modify theirs. Those who are allowed to wear it are promised glory in the eyes of the Goddess of Beauty and a trial in which they will kill each other day and night. The only ones who don't wear it are the Andhrรญmnir, who have a different one, and the executives, who simply don't use a uniform. The Freya Familia emblem is the profile of a Valkyrie. The symbol of their falna is a woman facing forward with her arms extended to the sides. - Base: The Freya Familia home was known as Folkvangr and was located around the center of the business area on the opposite side of Orario from the Loki Familia home. Folkvangr is a huge mansion that has a solemn structure similar to a temple. It covers a large area surrounded by four large walls and has a garden large enough for all familia members to assemble in. Within its facilities, there is a large hall called Sessrรบmnir where the einherjars dined every night after training. The sight of it displayed the Freya Familia's wealth, power, and honor. Freya lived apart from her familia in her room at the top of Babel. - Members: Freya Race: God Occupation: God Rank: God Level: None Status: Active Ottar Race: Boaz Occupation: Adventurer/Freya's aide Rank: Captain/Executive Level: 7 Status: Active Allen Fromel Race: Cat People Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Vice-Captain/Executive Level: 6 Status: Active Hogni Ragnar Race: Dark Elf Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 6 Status: Active Hedin Selland Race: Elf Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 6 Status: Active Grer Gulliver Race: Pallum Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 5 Status: Active Alfrigg Gulliver Race: Pallum Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 5 Status: Active Dvalinn Gulliver Race: Pallum Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 5 Status: Active Berling Gulliver Race: Pallum Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Executive Level: 5 Status: Active Horn Race: Human Occupation: Goddess' Attendant/Adventurer Rank: None Level: 2 Status: Active Mia Grand Race: Dwarf Occupation: Proprietress Rank: Captain (former) Level: 6 Status: Partially Left Familia Tammuz Belili Race: Human Occupation: Unknown Rank: None Level: 4 Status: Active Anya Fromel Race: Cat People Occupation: Waitress Rank: Unknown Level: 4 Status: Partially left Familia Van Race: Half Pallum Occupation: Adventurer Rank: None Level: 4 Status: Active Heith Velvet Race: Human Occupation: Healer/Adventurer Rank: Andhrรญmnir Leader Level: 4 Status: Active Rask Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer Rank: None Level: 4 Status: Active Remilia Race: Human Occupation: Adventurer Rank: None Level: 4 Status: Active Noga Race: Unknown Occupation: Adventurer Rank: Unknown Level: 3-4 Status: Active Lona Race: Human Occupation: Healer Rank: None Level: Unknown Status: Active Ilde Elf Race: Elf Occupation: Healer Rank: None Level: Unknown Status: Active --- <Hephaestus Familia> ## Overview: The Hephaestus Familia is a large smith-type Familia led by Hephaestus. Information The Hephaestus brand is well known throughout the world. They are one of the Familia in Orario that don't rely on income from the Dungeon. The Hephaestus brand logo is only allowed on items which are authorized by Hephaestus and her executives and made by Level 2 or higher smiths with the Blacksmith Development Ability. The Familia owns several branch stores in several locations, including the Babel, and rents the 4th to 8th floors of the tower. The Hephaestus Familia has the right to give all Familia members their own workshop. This is done to prevent a smith's techniques from being seen by others as even within the Familia smiths competed with each other to sell their works. The familia might be a group of smiths but they are also powerful, which is why they are also called warrior smiths. They have at least fifty members who are Level 2 at least, and at least twenty of them are smiths who are Level 3 or higher. The Hephaestus Familia emblem is crossing hammers over a volcano.
