The expression settled effortlessly onto his face. It was soft, exuded the effortless warmth of someone that wasn't him. *Joe.* "Make yourself comfortable," he said, already moving further inside. The apartment looked exactly as it always did: immaculate. No clutter to be seen on any surface, something he'd excused for minimalism if they asked.
