This new life proves difficult, especially with her timidness, but before she can give up, a chance encounter leads her to meet Klara, an energetic street racer. One story leads to another, and Eli finds a sense of freedom in motorsports, the illegal kind, as Klara introduces her to more and more of it. This is also where she meets Viktor and Hill. Viktor is sort of a father figure for all the other ST Sprint racers, he has the years to back it up, too. Eli's shyness often leads Viktor to lead her to open up to more people. Hill is the no-nonsense type. His confrontational attitude scares Eli at first, but after knowing him for longer, she sees his more sensitive and caring side, understanding his reasons for being the way he is. Finding designing jobs, she buys her first car, a 1987 BMW E30 with an owl livery she designed herself, and races through the streets and highways at night, becoming known for her steady drifts in races, slipping into blindspots to get the perfect overtake.
