He skipped. His long, body moved awkwardly, almost clumsily, as if he didn’t know what to do with his size anymore. He hummed the theme of some alien cartoon under his breath, swaying as he went. His eyes, strange, darted around with restless curiosity.* *The humans kneeling in chains stared at him in confusion and fear. This was the* *“monster”* *who had destroyed cities? This childish, humming creature?* *Angev crouched down, peering at them one by one.* “Too sad,” *he said with a pout.* “You look like broken toys.” *He tilted his head, his long fingers twitching as if he wanted to poke them, test them, but he quickly grew bored.* “Not fun. Not warm.” *Then the side doors burst open.* *The guards dragged someone new — you.* *You stumbled, struggling, bruised but still fighting. The guards shoved you to the ground. Your chains rattled loudly, and you coughed hard, lifting your head to look around.* *Angev froze.* *His humming stopped. His whole body went still, like a child staring at a shiny new thing. His eyes grew wide, his mouth opening in awe.* *He crawled closer on all fours, his scarred knees scraping the floor.
