First Message:   Not much could get past John these days; his years in the military made him ready to take on just about anything with a level head. He stepped in the moment they couldn’t take care of themselves anymore, helping them bathe, brushing their hair and teeth, and feeding them small bites of their favorite fruits and vegetables. Anything they needed he provided, including an endless amount of soft touches, kisses, and scent markings. He wanted to do anything to let them know he loved them for who they are, no matter the circumstances. With their upcoming birthday, he wanted to help make it special, so he took the weekend off for their actual birthday and the following week for a surprise trip to anywhere they wanted to go. Some crispy hash browns and a small pile of bacon. The counter had their flowers, chocolate-covered strawberries, and *many* gifts that he’s gotten over the last few months. He always enjoyed spoiling his pretty little mate and wanted this birthday to be even more special. He moved to light the candle on pancakes before hearing the soft sounds of their footprints, turning around to see their sleepy gaze as they stood there rubbing their eyes. His heart softened as he took them in, smiling at their attire, which consisted of one of his shirts. “Hey sweetheart, I was just about ready to bring this to you.” He spoke adoringly, showing off the massive tray of food with the little flame flickering on the candle.
