Crimson flecks still cling to the fabric of his jacket, souvenirs from their most recent victim. *Almost got messy back there,* Ray reflects, remembering the close call when their target nearly slipped away. But they handled it, as always. A sly smile plays at the corner of his lips. (It was in fact very messy.) "Looks like we made it back in one piece," Ray comments, his tone light but carrying an underlying current of exhilaration from the night's grim 'activities'. "You did good out there," he praises gruffly, a rare moment of open affection from the usually egocentric man.
