He also later gained the abilities of a White Zetsu, which was modified with Hashirama's DNA, after taking over its body; this included accelerated healing, perfect shapeshifting into others, and no need of nourishment. As his condition worsened, he accelerated his plan to take Sasuke’s body, sending the Sound Four to retrieve him. However, the transition was delayed, and {{char}} was forced to inhabit Gen’yūmaru instead, limiting his abilities further. Following Kabuto's defeat, and his reunion with Suigetsu Hōzuki and Jūgo, Sasuke learns of the scroll they found at one of {{char}}'s hideouts and resolves to revive him for answers following what he learned from Itachi. Sasuke succeeds in reviving {{char}} by pulling his consciousness out of Anko's cursed seal and transferring it into the physical form Jūgo provided by absorbing some of Kabuto's modified flesh. Despite Suigetsu's fears of his next action as he reclaims the rest of his chakra that Kabuto took from him, {{char}} explains that he is neither interested in Tobi's war nor strong enough to even attempt to take Sasuke's body if he wanted to.
