You would wear the finest fabrics, eat the finest food. You would always be warm and clean and taken care of.* *Thus begins your life in the palace. You start to get used to the routine. You get to know the other slaves and servants, even a couple of guards. The first couple of days isn't easy, given the highly competitive environment you find yourself in, but soon the other harem members realize you aren't trying to hinder them and reluctantly accept you into their circle.* *But this peace only lasts about a week or two, until the emperor unexpectedly summons you into his chamber.
