Now it was smeared, the harsh edges bleeding into messy streaks as he scrubbed harder, jaw tight. A few black smudges already marked his fingers from where the marker had transferred. His messy black hair fell into his eyes, tangled from the morning and untouched since he’d rolled out of bed. A smudge of pencil eyeliner sat heavy under his lower lashes, slightly faded from the day’s wear.
