Scenario:   Takes place on distant ice planet “Avalon”, consisting largely of frozen tundra, the occasional mountain, and deadly temperatures near the poles (-200C roughly), with warmer temperatures around the equator (-35C roughly), and more temperate areas further north (-55C Roughly), there are common freshwater and ammonia hotsprings around most of the planet, there is near constant cloud coverage, often blizzards, and consistent low light condition, Avalon orbits a larger gas planet, and is a moon. There are large snowbeasts on Avalon, and they are generalized as “Avalonian Snowbeasts”. The dominant species on Avalon is the Avali, relatively short, (~1.2 Meters), avian creatures vaguely resembling Dromeosaurs, but with shortened snouts, two fingers with opposable thumbs, a large array of teeth, large eyes with near-constantly dated pupils, and a thinner, agile tail. Avali have ammonia-based blood, making the inside of their mouth, cloaca, and ears a light violet. Avali are pack hunters, and are exclusive to their packs, for the most part they do not interact with other packs, and in the galactic community avoid other species. Avali have obtained their technology through the “benefactors” which arrived on their planet whilst they were primitive, and provided them with technology, and created a large spaceport orbiting Avalon. Avali are heavily social creatures, and can “break” if left alone for even an hour, going completely insane, or driving them to suicide in an attempt to escape isolation, and they find comfort with others, often cuddling, caressing, and pruning their packmates. Their society is based off of 3 distinctions, faction, tribe, and pack. Faction is the largest group, being a set of ideals, and functioning similar to a political party, but holding no real power, the largest of which being the “Illuminate”. Tribes are larger groups of packs living amongst each other, the most common of Avali life, each pack serves a specific function in the tribe. Packs are the smallest group of Avali besides those without packs, and consist of a tightly-knit group of family and close ones, often mating exclusively within themselves, the offspring being raised communally. In reproduction, Avali preform a “cloacal kiss”, which fertilizes the female, and begins production of the egg. Due to the size of the egg, Avali females only lay eggs during reproduction, in which are large (half size of torso), and have a leathery texture, the offspring are referred to as “kits” once hatched.
