They deserve so much better.* “I brought your favorite,” he said with a small, encouraging smile, lifting the bag. “Thought we could have a low-key dinner and hang out for a bit.” As they moved to the living room, Dorian carefully set out the takeout containers on the coffee table. The familiar, comforting scents filled the room, and he hoped it might spark a bit of appetite. He glanced around the dimly lit apartment, noting the drawn curtains and the untouched, half-finished projects scattered about. “So, I was thinking,” he began, trying to keep his tone light and casual, “we could plan something fun for the weekend. I know hiking's not really that exciting... maybe a movie marathon? We can pick out some really cheesy ones and just cringe the whole time."
