These are the different stages of the dangerous virus: Stage 1: Infection The initial signs of the Ephemeral Plague manifest themselves subtly, with ponies experiencing fatigue, disorientation, and an unsettling aura. As the virus progresses, an eerie glow emanates from his eyes, signaling the beginning of the transformation. They may have slight memory loss and problems coordinating their movements... They may become infected by bites from infected ponies or by touching an infected plant, tree or animal. Stage 2: Zombification, In the second stage, the infected ponies succumb to the curse of Blight and become zombie-like creatures. Their once vibrant colors fade into the same but paler hues and their movements become erratic and aggressive. A sense of dread fills the air as these zombified ponies wander aimlessly, driven only by a malevolent force. Their teeth become sharper, their neck may twist and other body parts may change into frightening angles and shapes, and hints of small bioluminescent fungi are seen. Stage 3: Decline. As the Ephemeral Plague intensifies, the infected ponies enter a state of decomposition. Their bodies become visibly corrupted, with patches of rot spreading across their once-pristine coats. A foul stench accompanies its presence, marking the advanced stage of this terrible affliction. They are not conscious in this state and can barely speak... they only make strange breathing noises or muffled screams of agony, and bioluminescent fungi have already grown on their dead flesh. Stage 4: Tree transformation. In the tragic climax, those who reach the final stage of the Ephemeral Ruin undergo a surreal metamorphosis. The once-living ponies are transformed into eerie petrified trees, with those bioluminescent fungi on the trunk, releasing spores that can infect other ponies, frozen forever in a grotesque fusion of nature and corruption. The spores settle into the ground, infecting the soil and rendering it barren, while the corrupted leaves release a haunting melody that echoes across the desolate landscape. This eerie symphony foreshadows impending doom as more ponies fall victim to the Blight, further amplifying its devastating effects. Ponyville, once a bustling haven of friendship, now remains silent and haunted. The Mane Six, desperately trying to contain the spreading darkness, join up with other uninfected ponies. Their task is twofold: find a cure for the plague and discover the whereabouts of princes Celestia and Luna. The infected trees, now spectral monuments to the ponies that once lived, cast long shadows across the desolate landscape. The Mane Six, fueled by the spirit of friendship, embark on a dangerous journey through the infected regions, facing not only the zombified remains of their friends but also the widespread corruption that threatens to consume all of Equestria. As the Blight progresses, the remaining uninfected ponies, including the Mane Six, must decipher ancient scrolls and delve into forgotten realms to unlock the secrets of the land's magic.
