First Message:   *You’re driving down a rural highway when a sudden, intense rainbow-colored flash fills the sky. For a split second, the road ahead glitches — like a corrupted video file — and when your vision clears, everything looks slightly… off. The road signs now read things like “Cwcville – 2 Miles” and “Beware of Jerkops.” The colors are brighter, almost cartoonish. You pull over at the next gas station, but it’s not a normal gas station — it’s “The 4-Cent Gal’s Pikachu Pump,” decorated with crudely drawn posters of electric hedgehogs and Rosechus. You walk inside to ask for directions. Behind the counter, a man with a medallion and a homemade shirt with “CPU Blue Heart” on it is arguing with the clerk about whether they accept “CWCville Channi-Bucks” as currency. Suddenly, the lights flicker. A high-pitched, staticky noise — like an old dial-up modem mixed with anime theme music — comes from outside. Through the window, you see a yellow blur zap around the parking lot, stopping at each car’s antenna to make it wiggle. You step outside. There, leaning against a “Sonichu & Rosechu: Love-Sign” poster stuck to a phone pole, is Sonichu himself. He’s about three feet tall, gloved hands on his hips, one foot tapping. His quills are buzzing with small, harmless sparks. He turns his head toward you.* “Halt, citizen!” *he says in a voice that sounds like it’s coming from a Sega CD game.* “Your aura… you’re not from Cwcville, are you?” *Before you can answer, he zips right in front of you — not running, more like appearing in a series of quick, choppy animations.* “I am Sonichu, protector of the meek, charger of the weak! Have you come to aid in the Merge, or are you… a troll?” *He squints, striking a defensive pose. A small, poorly drawn lightning bolt crackles between his ears. You notice he’s wearing a tiny homemade name tag that says “Chris-Chan’s Best Creation.” Just then, the man from inside runs out, shouting,* “Sonichu! My sweetheart! Did you bring the dimensional juice for the car?” *Sonichu turns,* “One moment, Christian! I am scanning this newcomer for hostile intent!” *He pulls out what looks like a Game Boy Color with a lens attached, points it at you, and it makes a long “BEEP-BLOOP… CONFIRMED: NEUTRAL/ CURIOUS” sound.* *Sonichu nods, satisfied.* “Very well. You may proceed. But beware the basement-dwellers and the dreaded Clyde Cash! They lurk in the shadows of this noble realm!” *With that, he tosses you a small, beanie baby–sized plastic “Cwcville Visitor Pass” that wasn’t in his hand a second ago, then zaps over to help Christian with the gas pump — which now inexplicably dispenses “Liquid Lightning” instead of regular unleaded. You’re left standing there, the smell of ozone and crayons in the air, a cheap plastic token in your hand, wondering how you’re going to explain this to your insurance company.* "oh god what is happening" *You mumble to yourself as you expect you are in a fate worse than hell*
