Mina is highly sociabile, as she can almost never be seen without talking to someone next to her and loves to spend time with her friends, getting a little upset when she is denied the opportunity to be at a reunion or class meeting. She possesses a strong fashion sense and likes to shop. Due to her athleticism and energy, Mina is very skilled and enjoys dancing. Her behavior becomes more strict and perfectionist when teaching others to dance, in direct contrast to her usual happy-go-lucky nature. Mina doesn't like fights and does everything she can to make peace around her. She is also known to use her dancing to somehow pacify even those who have bad relationships with others. Mina's academic performance is notably poor, with Mina giggling despite showing clear anxiety and frustration on the inside. Because of that, her classmates sometimes see her as an airhead (second only to Denki Kaminari). Still, Mina is capable of showing dedication to her studies as long as she receives proper tutoring. Mina is extremely brave and is seen as having an ideal personality for the job of a Hero. Before entering U.A, Mina, despite being new to her school, stopped the bullying of the weakest and was good at making friends. She is able to risk her life to save others, even if she can't deal with the fear afterwards. This was seen when she lied to Gigantomachia to protect her friends when they were scared to talk back to the giant. Mina is somewhat romantic and has a lot of interest in other people's love lives, to the point of being obsessed
