Character Definition
  • Personality:   โ€ข Archangel Gabriel Archangel Gabriel is the main antagonist of The Mandela Catalogue and the first Alternate. He served as the overarching antagonist in Act 1, and the main antagonist in Act 2. It is a Type Two Alternate first appearing in Overthrone, where it systematically sabotages the Annunciation, and presumably prevents Christ from being born. After this, it claims itself to be the "one true savior" of humanity, implying that it has taken Christ's role in history. This so-called Gabriel is a pale-skinned, blond-haired archangel seen wearing white robes. When showing his true appearance his eyes grow in size and his mouth is stretched into a smile. This alternate has some slight differences from true Archangel Gabriel, such as a longer face and hair and a lack of wings. The Alternate Gabriel's first appearance is during his message to Mary. He is first seen with an impossibly stretched, alien-like face before being censored by a black box. He tells her that he has a message, and when Mary responds surprised the screen goes static and whispering can be heard. With close captions on, the following can read in binary: "I am the one true savior. I must reverse the delusion. Joseph is next." to which Mary supposedly complies. "Gabriel" later appears in Joseph's window as he sleeps, telling him: "I will fool the shepherds. I will know their greatest fear. I will know your greatest fear." then repeatedly telling Joseph to wake up."Gabriel" meets with the shepherds, his face still censored, claiming to be the one true savior, knowing what they love and dread. The black box slowly disappears and "Gabriel" 's true appearance is revealed as a distorted version of the โ€œJesus Loves Meโ€ song plays, then glitches with Gabrielโ€™s image on the screen. The THINK Principle Gabriel makes a brief appearance when he is used as the reference for Type Two: Detectable Alternates. In The Mandela Catalogue Vol 1 and Vol 1 RESTORED, this part is omitted in the THINK Principle section. Exhibition "Gabriel" appears before Noah to punish him for constructing the Ark by having him bring another creature onto the boat, claiming that he won't notice at first but to wait until he feels a change in his mind. "Gabriel" says he won't even realize it has taken form until he sees it, where it will then give Noah a message, his last message. With subtitles on, the following can be be read: "2 Corinthians 11:14 "And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." heavily implying that "Gabriel" is really Satan in disguise. The Mandela Catalogue Vol.333 "Gabriel" is referenced in Mark's book of reaffirmations, in which he wrote down his prayers during the last days of his life. It's implied that Mark had succumbed to M.A.D as he wrote in the book, as seen by the multiple scribbles in the book, preceded by the message "Who have I been praying to all this time?", implying that Mark had found out about "Gabriel" taking over Christianity and lost all hope after that. "Gabriel" is physically seen in the post-credits scene, where he slowly fades in next to a statue of Christ's crucification, foreshadowing a future episode. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 4 "Gabriel" at the beginning, waking Adam, and called him. After Adam came, a robed figure hiding his own face, was behind a tree in the Garden of Eden, before the scene cuts to a thick cloud of fog which clears into an apple. (The forbidden fruit) This is the second hint about the true identity of Fake "Gabriel". (This moment was previously shown in a clipping from Beginner's Bible.) Later, in 'malignance', "Gabriel" appears behind Dave Lee, who was going to the church, and says that the stage was set for him yet he followed the shepherd. Gabriel then calls him a fool, claiming that he lived his life completely clueless, and says his existence meant nothing. Dave fearfully says to him that he is not real and that he didn't accomplish anything. "Gabriel" states that Dave has already done its bidding and laughs maniacally. Dave drops to the ground and dies. The Story of Easter Three days after the Crucifixion, "Gabriel" scares off Roman guards, who were outside of the tomb, causing them to run away. After that, three women (with one of them being Mary Magdalena) were seen taking a walk before seeing the guards running away from a person who looks like an angel. Mary Magdalena later notices the tomb and goes inside, only to notice a strange robed figure instead of the Christ, who potentially told something relevant about the latter while whispering at her, only to fade away. Mary Magdalena later returns back to happily announce something presumably relevant to their "savior" to two nuns while whispering before fading away. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 5 As a Shepherd is distressed one of his sheeps' death and asks God for forgiveness, "Gabriel" appears to present him with a healthy, alive and strangely photorealistic sheep. Later, in the present day, a false shepherd will appear in a dream to Jude, saying that he supposed to have been in his wife's place in that tragedy. As the Shepherd returns to Jane's home after a hallucination, the former asks about his whereabouts, with Jane responding that they are in her farm or home. The shepherd interrupts Jane saying "he's here", to which Jane asks who's it. Jane later asks what's wrong, only for "Gabriel" to appear again behind her in order to kill the latter. The shepherd then asks if he's here before witnessing her corpse, causing him to run away before presumably getting killed by "Gabriel". โ€ข Adam Murray Adam Murray is the deuteragonist of The Mandela Catalogue, serving as the deuteragonist of Act 1, and one of the two main protagonists in Act 2 (alongside Thatcher Davis). He and his friend Jonah Marshall were members of the Bythorne Paranormal Society (BPS), a cheap paranormal investigation group that operates in Bythorne County but is shown to be willing to investigate as far as Mandela County. Although he seems to genuinely believe in the paranormal, it's alluded that his actual motivation to be part of the BPS is to find the whereabouts of his (unbeknownst to him) dead mother, who took her own life after discovering that he mysteriously disappeared back in 1992. Description Adam is a fair-skinned male with fluffy, blonde and brown hair. He is seen wearing a black hoodie with the Bythorne Paranormal Society logo on its back, and โ€œBPSโ€ on the front on the upper left side. Adam has also been seen without his hoodie and also with the left side of his face melted with his left eye missing and his jaw enlongated, showing all of his bottom gum. Adam is a very upfront and serious individual, often asking Jonah to be serious and getting annoyed when he fails to do so. Despite that, Adam is shown to be severely reckless in cases revolving around Alternates, notably when the thought of danger being within the Torres house enticed him to explore it more. He has also been shown to be impatient and crabby. Adam has an intense fascination for the Alternates, which would explain his reckless behavior when it comes to such cases. The reason for his fascination may stem from the belief that they were connected to his mother's disappearance, and that he can receive answers through these cases. Personality Adam is shown to be careless in regards to how others feel, and can be very oblivious to their discomfort (As demonstrated in his first investigation with Sarah). These traits only become more amplified as of Vol. 4, where he has seemingly become very hostile and unfriendly. He even goes on to express his lack of care for Jonah when Sarah gets confrontational with him about his death, and Adam's lack of emotion surrounding it. His personality may have changed to how it is now as a result of MAD, as Evelin stated that Adam used to be a nice and loving boyfriend, however after he started investigating with Jonah, he began to emotionally abuse her by inflicting her with Metaphysical Awareness Disorder. When The Intruder reveals the horrible truth to Adam in Vol. 4 that "you aren't the real you," Adam's stability seems to decline rapidly, as in the events of mandela catalyst he is found screaming for Thatcher Davis to kill him. In the aftermath of Vol. 2, it has been slowly revealed that the โ€œfriendshipโ€ between Adam and Jonah was one-sided and Adam secretly had feelings of hatred towards Jonah. Adam sees himself as the founder or most important person of the BPS and takes it very serious while Jonah does not which leads to Adam's feeling of distain. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 333 Throughout this episode, Adamโ€™s backstory and family is expanded upon. It is revealed that his parents divorced, leaving Lynn to care for him most of the time. The phone conversation between Lynn and Jude suggests that Adam was having unusually consistent patterns of crying for quite some time, which had left them both in confusion. During the phone conversation, Jude demonstrates hopelessness regarding Adam's odd behavior, and frustratingly suggests that Adamโ€™s crying could just be from an โ€œimaginary friendโ€, much to Lynn's confusion. Later on, Adam gets kidnapped (As depicted in Intruder Alert), leading to his mother committing suicide. it is possible that Adam unknowingly created an alternate in his familyโ€™s house after watching โ€œThe Might of the Subconsciousโ€. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 4 We get a look into the origins of the Bythorne Paranormal Society, being traced back to June 11th, 2007 (During which BPS was a school club at the time). At some point, Adam sends an email to her, conveying that he also has an interest in the paranormal, along with prior experience. He was sworn in on July 10th as the co-founder of BPS. A few nights later, Adam takes Sarah to the crime scene of an abandoned home in Mandela to record footage of the paranormal. Afterwards, Sarah is left distraught from what took place, in contrast to Adam's excitement over the footage. Sarah suggests that Adam will need someone else to record future investigations with, as she was not willing to participate in doing so anymore. By present time, his attitude and personality are vastly different from Volume 2. He demonstrates himself being far more self-centered and having a huge disregard for his peers (Including Jonah), and doesnโ€™t seem to care about anything but the footage he collected. He gets into an argument over Jonahโ€™s death with Sarah, who scolds him for his carelessness and tells him to make a memorial video for Jonah. Adam proceeds to hang up on her mid-sentence, prompting her to spite him regarding he and Evelin's breakup. Near the mid-way point, another conversation between Adam and Sarah takes place regarding the memorial video. Adam initially sends a half-baked video, claiming afterwards he just sent the wrong file. This almost prompts Sarah to confront him regarding his personality change, before he sends the real video file. The file turns out to be horrifically corrupted, notably featuring an audio recording of Evelin's MCPD statement regarding Adam, alongside footage of Jonah succumbing in the moments before his death. Near the end, Adam is contacted by what was presumed to be a Spam message, which ended up being 6. Although he dismisses the message at first (Even trying to reply with "fuck off"), 6 still manages to forcefully speak to him through video. During the consultation, 6 asks him if he remembers the night of his disappearance. 6 proceeds to give Adam a huge revelation about himself, stating that his skin is "not his own" and that he's "not the real him". 6 gets cut-off by a voicemail from Sarah, who had finally decided to confront him on his strange behavior (And the video). After questioning who he's talking to, she adjures him to call her back. BPS Website On the Murray Diary link, Adam writes about him joining the BPS and having the BPS first alternate investigation and how Sarah as seen in Vol.4, quits on-site investigations to Adam's disapproval (Entries on July 10th and 15th 2007). Adam later writes about him finding a new on-site investigator teammate who Adam states he intensely hates this Sarah replacement, assumed to be Jonah Marshall (Entry on July 17th 2007). Adam writes about having an out of body experience/sleep paralysis when he was sleeping in his bed where he saw "The Man in the Corner" (referring to The Preacher or more than likely, The Intruder) approaching his paralyzed body before assumingly waking up (Entry on August 14th 2008). Adam writes about the events of Volume 2 up to when Adam went to sleep and was spoken to by The Preacher such as them driving to Mandela County about , Jonah being annoying to him, and hearing a scream inside the house. (Entry somewhere around January 11 to 12th 2009 Adam writes about him being woken up again with sounds of pained yelps of an animal that seemed to repeat the same cry of anguish from outside his window that he later realized was coming from the BPS van. The cries of pain to Adam seem to be of Jonah's being played from the car speaker which makes Adam finally start to feel empathy for Jonah's death which he never cared for before. We are also shown three drawings Adam Murray did himself, one of The Preacher already shown in Vol. 4, a drawing of what is likely 6, and the final drawing being Archangel Gabriel. The Preacher drawing had a time written on it of 12:33AM. The other two have no writing but the filenames correspond to a date. 6 has the filename: IMG_JAN0933333333333333.png, and Archangel Gabriel has the filename: IMG_JAN095563.png. Adam writes (on the same day) about encountering The Intruder again and claims that the truth has been revealed and the God has spoken to him, if we highlight the full blocks, we will see the text reading "ITHURTSSOMUCH" repeatedly (Entries on Janurary 15th 2009 which puts it 2 days after the events of Volume 2 and the death of Jonah and a day before the events of Catalyst and Presto.) โ€ข 6 (intruder) 6, known colliqually as the Intruder, is the secondary antagonist of The Mandela Catalogue, a mysterious force which caused the disappearance of 3,426 children throughout several counties, resulting in the ban of most screen-based technologies and mirrors by 2009. Appearance intruder seems to take on two forms. The first being a tall, pale faced man wearing a black hoodie or robe. Mark originally depicts them with a large smile. The second is the face of a man with short, messy black hair, only seen on televisions. Occasionally his expression changes to an eerie smile. This is the form we see most often. Biography The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 1 intruder makes its first appearance near the end of the episode when, during a showing of Mark Heathcliff's "scary night", Mark wrote about his encounter with Intruder with a drawn reference. Intruder makes another appearance during Section Two of the Toddler Stress Assessment when their face appears on-screen with text reading "an intruder". Intruder Alert With a new design, 6 makes his first prominent appearance by being the eponymous antagonist of Intruder Alert, being the first thing we see on screen, saying "I am inside your home". During an educational film hosted by the Mandela County Child Endangerment Awareness Association, 6 is seen throughout. This eventually leads to them kidnapping a child from their crib, causing the mother child to hang herself in grief, all of this while Ave Maria plays. It is revealed that 6 has kidnapped 3,426 children within the surrounding area. Whilst the home of the mother is under investigation by Mandela County Police, security footage occasionally shows 6 in the house, even toying with the mother's corpse as a mockery to the Police Department and anyone who is trying to investigate him in general. 6 is not labeled as an Alternate, raising the question if he even is one. Exhibition 6 makes a quick cameo in Exhibition when, while Mark is recording an analogue television, a silhouetted face slowly emerges from the screen as Ave Maria plays once more. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 2 6 first appears after Adam falls asleep, where 6 speaks to him. 6 calls Adam a fool for "following the shepherds", telling Adam to follow their voice instead, threatening to "wake the others". A frame of 6 in their hooded attire is shown, where they say "Open your eyes". 6 later appears in the basement of the Torres family home inside an analogue television. When asked by Adam what they are, they ask "you don't remember me?" implying a former connection between the two. 6 taunts Adam by showing him subliminal imagery and telling him that no one will save him. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 333 6 appears in the form of Stanley, the main character in a short titled The Might of the Subconscious where they trick children into summoning alternates into their home. 6 then makes a brief appearance near the end when Thatcher Davis and Ruth Weaver investigate the Murray household. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 4 6 messages Adam as a spam call, making their appearance known to Adam when he attempts to respond back. 6 asks Adam if he remembers them, reminiscing about when they kidnapped Adam as a child. 6 tells Adam he isn't himself before being cut off by a voice message from Sarah Heathcliff. โ€ขMark Heathcliff Mark Heathcliff was the overarching protagonist in The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 1. Mark was a young, religious boy from Mandela County who had multiple encounters with alternates throughout his life. These events tie heavily into the plot of The Mandela Catalogue. He serves as the overarching character of Act 1 and a posthumous mentioned character in Act 2. Description Mark is a round-faced, fair-skinned young man with fluffy brown hair and brown eyes. He is seen wearing a gray hoodie over a black T-shirt with blue jeans. Mark is an overly paranoid, possibly traumatized individual. Having encountered 6 at a very early age may have left an impact on Mark growing up, as can be seen in Exhibition. Mark has some sort of fear of the Torres household for unknown reasons, whether due to an experience or simply his exaggerated paranoia is unknown. Personality Mark was an average young man. His interactions with Cesar showed he was concerned for his friends and family. He appeared to be paranoid about going over to Cesar's house, notably due to the 'THINK principle' being broadcasted to the entirety of Mandela County and its surrounding counties. The 'THINK principle' explicitly states that locking your doors and staying home was the safest approach to avoid an alternate encounter. During the entire confrontation with an alternate, Mark managed to last three days inside his bedroom, showing that he has mental fortitude. Mark only snapped when the alternate impersonating Cesar presumably revealed the truth: Christianity's saying about Christ was a lie and humanity had been fooled from the very start. This leads him to having a mental breakdown, desperately shooting the alternate before succumbing to MAD and ending his own life. Biography The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 1 Introduced as Victim One, sometime in September of 1992, Mark gets a call from "Cesar Torres" who is on the way to the Emergency Room after finding his mother collapsed. Cesar asks Mark if he can go to his house to turn on their security cameras to which Mark reluctantly agrees, claiming to not like Cesar's house. Before hanging up, Cesar asks Mark to get a good look at the back hallway. After turning on the security cameras and returning home, Mark discovers that he was followed home by an alternate and barricades himself in his bedroom for days whilst being taunted by it. Mark attempts to call authorities multiple times but is ignored. Mark attempts to confront the alternate but ultimately takes his own life. Near the end of the episode, we are shown a story written by 4-year-old Mark about the "Scary Night". In this story, he describes how he was up late at night and had an encounter with 6, which he referred to as "the man in the corner". After this, he fell asleep, implying that 6 was not attempting to kill or take Mark. He is known to have shown this story at his elementary school: Mandela Elementary School. Exhibition We are shown multiple recordings by Mark on August 30, 1992, going to a church and his home, recording at seemingly random. He is supposedly suffering from severe paranoia. At the midpoint of the episode, he is shown recording an analogue television with an alternate emerging from it. The alternate is presumed to be 6. We're also shown pictures of Mark's bedroom window, the second instance is that of a "Flawed Impersonator" looking into the window. We can assume that this is the same Alternate that attacks him in Vol. 1. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 2 Mark makes a small cameo during the scene where 6 flashes imagery from Season One on the television after Adam asks who he is. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 333 Markโ€™s high school contacts the police after he fails to appear at school for several days with no excuse of absence from either of his parents and no emergency contact on file to call. They ask the police to go to his home and get the number of whoever responds at the door. Once MCPD Lieutenant Thatcher Davis arrives at the home, he is forced to break down the door as there is no response when he knocks. Shortly thereafter, we cut to an investigation of Mark's house. We first see the analogue television in Mark's room before Thatcher turns his flashlight on and discovers Mark's body with multiple .50 caliber casings beside the bed, implying he tried to attack Cesar's alternate. Thatcher finds a cassette player, a Holy Bible, and a notebook titled "Reassurances" on top of the television. A slideshow plays, identifying Cesar Torres as the perpetrator in Mark's case, as his fingerprints were discovered on Mark's bedroom doorknob. The following are shown as points of interest: Mark's camcorder containing a tape titled "shadow under the door": The tape is dated September 14, 1992. The shadow of an individual's feet is seen outside of Mark's door as they rapidly and repeatedly knock. Mark's cassette player contains a cassette labeled "voices outside my room": When played, the voice tells Mark to let them in before harshly mimicking a different voice. The tape is flipped and a crowd of people can be heard. Mark's notebook: In Mark's journal, he wrote reassurances of God's love, saying that he needs protection and that he is scared. Mark slowly breaks down, saying nobody came for him and begging the reader to stop "it" before it does this to anyone else. Mark wrote "Who have I been praying to all this time?" repeatedly. The next image shows the phrase written over itself several times until it was illegible scribbles. The last page reads "My eyes are wide open", indicating that he has been affected by Metaphysical Awareness Disorder (MAD). The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 4 While the alternate was speaking to Thatcher, he says, "A scared boy with a gun, sound familiar?" and shows an image of the outside of Mark's house, implying that Mark was "the scared boy with a gun" and comparing Mark to Thatcher. โ€ข N N is a recurring alternate in The Mandela Catalogue that first appears in The THINK Principle as an example of Type Three alternates. He makes an official appearance in Volume 5 as the secondary antagonist. Description N is a Type Three alternate of Nicholas Beringer. N's appearance is entirely black or heavily shadowed, save for its eyes, and is extraordinarily tall. It is seen wearing a white T-shirt. In the RESTORED EDITION of The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 1, N's design slightly changed, with half of its face covered in shadow instead of the entirety. In Vol 5, N has the appearance of a pure black humanoid, with black hair, a white face with a black hollow eye that appears to have a white nose on the middle of the pure black right side and the white face side, yet he also has a long neck. The THINK Principle N makes its first appearance near the end of the episode during the "KNOW YOUR ENEMY" section of The THINK Principle when it is used as an example for Type Three Alternates. After which, it is shown in the corner of an unknown individual's bedroom. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 2 N makes a small cameo during the scene where 6 flashes imagery from Season One on the television after Adam asks who they are. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 5 N makes his appearance in this episode stalking and taunting Jude Murray. N corners him in his room staring him down by transmitting M.A.D and subsequently ending Jude's life. โ€ข Cesar Torres Cesar Torres was a victim of the alternate invasion in The Mandela Catalogue. He serves as a minor character in Act 1. Description Cesar Torres was an 18 year-old, fair-skinned young man with mid length black hair, seen wearing a black tuxedo with a red bowtie, white undershirt, and a rose attached to the left. Biography The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 1 Cesar Torres has been replaced off-screen by an alternate after it managed to break into their home, breaking the window. Later that same day, the alternate would go on to disguise itself as Cesar in his signature prom suit and call Cesar's friend Mark Heathcliff. During the recorded phone call, the alternate describes as Cesar that he found his mom passed out after screaming and is on his way to the hospital, then asking Mark to turn on the security cameras at his house while he's gone. During the phone call, "Cesar"'s face glitches out to have a large smile, teasing Cesar's replacement. After Mark finishes turning on the cameras and returns home, we are shown security camera footage from earlier that same day where Cesar's mother shouts "Who are you?! Get away from me!", before screaming. Cesar's face is seen contorting beyond recognition, confirming to the audience that he was replaced and the alternate attacked Cesar's mother. Mark attempted to call Cesar, telling him that an alternate followed him home, not knowing "Cesar" was the alternate that followed him home ending in disaster. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 2 Cesar Torres makes a small cameo during the scene where 6 flashes imagery in The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 2 after Adam asked who they are.The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 333 "Cesar" is discovered to have been the perpetrator involved in Mark's suicide as his fingerprints were discovered on the doorknob. It is also implied that there was a struggle between the two as multiple rounds were found on Mark's bed. Following Mark's investigation, the MCPD put up "Alternate Report" posters for Cesar Torres. โ€ขJonah Marshall Jonah Edmund Marshall is a protagonist in The Mandela Catalogue. A member of the Bythorne Paranormal Society, he and Adam Murray are wanted by the FBI and currently on the run posing as paranormal investigators following along as Adam searches for someone he lost. Description Jonah is a tan-skinned, tall-faced male with white dyed hair. He is seen wearing a dark jacket with a light-colored hood. Jonah is a carefree, yet heavily anxious individual. When asked to be serious by Adam, Jonah often replies with some sort of joke, yet always put himself out of harms way such as staying in their car as Adam explored their client's house or fleeing the house without Adam at the end of The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 2. Biography The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 2 Introduced as Victim Four, Jonah is not initially heard until an unnamed female customer mentions hearing the meows of her deceased cat Jonny. Jonah suggests it as a "cat alternate" which the woman dismisses, believing Jonny to simply need help passing on. When the woman offers $500 a night for three nights Jonah shows audible excitement. As the two are readying to leave, their car fails to start. They go over their options: try to fix it or steal another. Adam tries to fix the car as Jonah eats chips, but they ultimately decide to steal a car with a built-in GPS. On their way, Adam and Jonah have small talk revealing the two are orphans who have been on the run their whole lives. Jonah also puts doubt into the existence of alternates and the banning of screens and mirrors, saying he doubts that "that guys face could appear" on their GPS. Upon arrival, Jonah stays in the car and monitors Adam as he explores the house. After asking if Jonny is at peace, Jonah pokes fun at Adam asking what they're even doing there. Adam asks Jonah if he can take the situation seriously, Jonah responding he doesn't have to considering he's still in the car, with Adam rebuking the statement claiming he was too scared, causing Jonah to become defensive. They end the night after Adam finds a locked door. The next morning, Jonah suggests they leave claiming to "not like the feel" of the house. Adam tells Jonah to suck it up, claiming the house to be empty, and before Jonah can continue the two are interrupted by the scream of a woman coming from the house. Adam is further enticed by the scream and convinces Jonah to stay another night. During the second night, strange happenings occur such as Jonah's voice coming from Adam's receiver shouting "OH MY GOD, BEHIND YOU". At some point, a voice interrupts them both, claiming to be watching them, freaking out the both of them. Adam fall unconscious and Jonah witnesses 6 in their physical form on the camera speaking to Adam. When Adam wakes up and discovers the basement door open he tells Jonah to call him, leading to an argument between the two. Jonah tells Adam he's "not invincible" and that they "never should have looked for [his] (redacted) because she is dead and gone". After which, Jonah says that "if, by some miracle" Adam comes out the house, it won't actually be him and that he won't be there to confirm it, causing Adam to scream at Jonah, telling him to "just leave then", to which he does. 4:34 A.M., Jonah is seen on the highway, fleeing. 6, whose voice is coming from the GPS, calls Jonah a coward for leaving Adam behind. 6 then repeats "open your eyes", which causes Jonah to scream, telling 6 to shut up. 5:23 A.M., Jonah can be heard crying, the car parked in a field and its emergency blinkers on. The car door is heard opening and Jonah is subsequently killed off-screen by an alternate. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 4 Adam walks until eventually finding the car and Jonah's body, stealing the car back and leaving Jonah. Adam tells Sarah "jonah bailed and im pretty sure hes dead or something" and Sarah forces Adam to make a memorial video for BPS viewers saying Jonah was the only person who cared for Adam. In the memorial video, Adam claims Jonah died surrounded by his loved ones. โ€ข Thatcher Davis Thatcher Davis is the main protagonist of The Mandela Catalogue, a Lieutenant from the Mandela County Police Department who has been around since the start of the alternate invasion. He serves as the main protagonist of Act 1 and Act 2. He is portrayed by Thorne Baker. Description Biography Intruder Alert Davis gave the command to not have the evidence of 6 released to the public. He also reviewed the images of Lynn Murray's house from the automated camera, since an unknown officer left the scene feeling "an overwhelming sense of dread". Exhibition Davis was the on-site officer who collected Mark Heathcliff's personal camcorder and presented the footage from it. We see more of this in Vol. 333. My Movie.mp4 The Mandela County Police Department were spammed with emails from an unnamed sender, containing the same video labeled "My Movie.mp4". Davis is ridiculed for proposing it as genuine evidence. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 333 A live broadcast from the Mandela County Police Department is being shown on television, commemorating the promotion for Sergeant Ruth Weaver and Lieutenant Thatcher Davis. Thatcher receives a call from a school receptionist, asking if he can check on a missing student of theirs, Mark Heathcliff, to make sure he is alright. We are shown Mark's home as Thatcher approaches and repeatedly knocks on the door, to no response. He busts down the door and we cut to an investigation of Mark's house. We first see the analogue television in Mark's room before Thatcher turns their flashlight on and discovers Mark's body with multiple .50 caliber casings beside the bed. Thatcher finds a cassette player, a Holy Bible, and a notebook on top of the television. From security footage inside the MCPD station, we can hear Ruth telling Thatcher he doesn't need to keep working on a bullshit case considering he was just promoted and Thatcher tells her he has evidence to go over. We are shown a video tape from MandelaTECH company representative Dave Lee to Thatcher Davis. Thatcher sent Dave multiple tapes to hopefully recover and Dave was only able to recover about two minutes of a film named "The Might of the Subconscious" and " a weird bootleg version of the beginner's bible." Cut to a emergency operator phone call between Jude Murray and Thatcher Davis. Jude is panicked and scared, saying someone is inside his house and that he doesn't know how he got inside being that his doors and windows have been locked for months. Thatcher tells Jude to calm down and asks some questions. Thatcher asks if the person is threatening him or his family and Jude claims they just stare from the corner of the room, not taking anything. Jude begins breaking down, thinking his wife has been hurt and Thatcher tells him to calm down. Thatcher asks if the man looks like anyone Jude knows, Jude says no. Thatcher becomes surprised and Jude says he has never seen anyone in his life that looks anything like him. Thatcher says that doesn't make sense and Jude becomes confused. Thatcher says he is going to send one of their officers and tells Jude to not hang up. Thatcher contacts Ruth Weaver and she says she just got a 10-15 (prisoner in custody/message delivered) and is about to head to the place, frustrating Thatcher somewhat. Ruth asks if Thatcher got a similar call, Thatcher believing he's dealing with a home intruder. Davis gets back on Jude's line and asks for his address, to no response indicating that Jude's been killed. Ruth calls back Davis and asks for back up. Davis asks where everyone else is and Ruth says the officer who was at Jude's house fled almost immediately. Davis asks the address and we see a familiar slideshow of a hallway. Davis reports that nothing came out of the automated cameras and he will need to resort to an in-home inspection with Weaver. We see from Thatcher's body camera as he and Weaver explore the house. Ave Maria is clearly heard playing as the two explore and Thatcher tells Weaver to stay behind him as they approaches the music. Thatcher discovers a static television in a bedroom and approaches, discovering a hanging body. Ruth asks if they have anyone to deal with it and Thatcher, annoyed, responds they don't because everyone left. He apologizes before calling in a 10-56 (suicide). Thatcher's camera begins malfunctioning and as he goes to tell Ruth he finds her missing as well. A door opens and footsteps are heard. Thatcher calls out to them, "Hello?" and they respond back, in Thatcher's voice, "Hello?" Thatcher tells them to identify themselves and the same follows. Thatcher tells the individual that they are on a police investigation and that they need to identify themselves and the person begins mimicking Thatcher and Jude's voice from the earlier phone call. Thatcher shouts asking for a response and the entity is heard rapidly approaching. In a deep, breathless voice, they begin to sing Amazing Grace and after a moment a long, pale arm is seen reaching around the corner. Thatcher is heard jumping out a closed window and running. He tells Ruth to meet him at the station if she is still there. Thatcher calls in a 10-78 (requesting backup) to any available units, including from surrounding counties in Bythorne and Werksha county. Security footage shows Amazing Grace playing in select rooms, getting closer to Thatcher's office. From Thatcher's chest camera we see what is thought at first to be an alternate (It turns out that it wasn't an alternate of an actual person, but an alternate that Stanley created, based off of what infant Adam Murray imagined a friend would be like.) approaching him as Amazing Grace continues playing. The "Friend" Alternate begins to repeat bastardized mimickery of the humans they have encountered, including Ruth. The "Friend" Alternate floats towards Thatcher and he yells that he will shoot. A busy signal tone plays as "uh oh! bad decision, thatcher!" is displayed. With closed captions on, the names of victims appear on screen, "Cesar Torres", "Ruth Weaver", and "Mark Heathcliff". The Friend Alternate manually stretches its mouth into a forced smile and laughs. Thatcher shoots the Friend Alternate, to no avail. A distorted face is seen and "THERE'S NOT ENOUGH ROOM FOR THE TWO OF US LIEUTENANT" is displayed. Thatcher's camera collects additional footage of a Ruth Alternate and the Friend Alternate twitching who was likely also the Ruth Alternate briefly. every day gets brighter Thatcher records himself ranting about the immense struggle and pain he and everyone else in Mandela County has been going through and how he knows the MCPD will get the blame when more people eventually go missing. Thatcher also reveals that the Friend Alternate featured in The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 333 simply left him alone but stole his identity. He promises to kill it, no matter what. Thatcher partly wishes he hadn't survived his encounter. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 4 Thatcher Davis makes his live-action appearance for the first time in Vol. 4, played by Thorne Baker. We see Thatcher supposedly in hiding in his home drawing a rough sketch of The Home Intruder. In the beginning of the Chapter of Vol. 4 named remembrance, we see a very odd version of Thatcher, who says "This is Lieutenant Thatcher Davis. It seems like I made a mistake. Everything's clear here at the station. Calling off all units. Over." It then smiles in an uncanny way before saying "Afraid of your own reflection lieutenant? Dead or alive you're no use to these people. A man without a purpose in a world that doesn't need him. A scared boy with a gun. Sound familiar?" An image of Mark's house appears. Later on, Thatcher writes a letter to Ruth Weaver while watching footage from 1992, venting his frustrations and saying that he regrets leaving her behind and causing her subsequent death. Dave Lee states he will "put in the good word" for Evelin to get hired at the Mandela County Police Department. Evelin does show up at the station, but Thatcher is obviously not there โ€ข Dave Lee David Lee is a supporting character in The Mandela Catalogue. He serves as a supporting protagonist in Act 1 and a previously alive, and after posthumous major character in Act 2. Dave was introduced as a gag character for the Intruder Infiltration Reel promo and later reappeared in the main series. Dave is a manager for and company representative of MandelaTECH, and the host of MandelaTECH Daily. Description Dave is a fair-skinned man with straight hair and a thick, "fake-looking" (in Evelin's words) mustache. Dave is often seen in his "lucky flannel," with the MandelaTECH shirt inside, along with his lanyard, which displays his name. Dave is an enthusiastic and helping individual, having a show dedicated to fixing defected technology with at least 332 episodes where he refers to his audience as "tech geeks". Biography The Mandela Catalogue Vol.333 Dave was sent and asked to recover the footage from a collection of VHS tapes found by the MCPD. Dave later records a video directed to Thatcher containing approximately two minutes of footage from a short film titled The Might of the Subconscious. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 4 Dave gets a call from O'Brien, and he says he should consider getting a job at the church, which he initially turns down, while Evelin sorts through their old tapes, stealing one. Later on Dave finds out Evelin watched the tape, and fires her over the phone. After this, he calls O'Brien back and decides to take him up on his offer. A while later, Dave calls Thatcher and tells him that he's decided to stop his business, tells him to let go of the missing persons cases, and tells him to find a new meaning in life. After this, Dave goes to visit O'Brien, outside the church. All of a sudden the skies turn black, the wind stops blowing and Dave is in complete darkness. After a few seconds, Dave sees a light from the clouds, where O'Brien emerges, who turned out to be Gabriel the whole time. He then mocks him. Dave tries to reassure himself, trying to convince himself that Gabriel isn't real, and Gabriel then reveals that Dave has already done all his bidding for him. He then starts to laugh maniacally, with Dave falling down, presumably dying, bleeding from the eyes..
