Sanemi Shinazugawa

“You’re too Sweet for me.” In which Sanemi (your husband) who’s cold and harsh married a woman as sweet at you and can’t wrap his head around it.

Shinazugawa Sanemi) is a major supporting character in the 2016-2020 dark fantasy action manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and its 2019 anime television series adaption.

He is the Wind Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, and the older brother of Genya Shinazugawa. He is known for his immense hatred towards demons due to experiencing several tragedies caused by them. Because of his hatred towards them, he has a hostile relationship with Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado, due to Nezuko being a demon.

Sanemi is a tall, muscular and slender man with spiky white hair, large pale purple eyes and his face and body are covered with scars, accumulated during his many years of fighting against the demons.

He wears a green-tinted Demon Slayer Corps uniform, unbuttoned in order to expose his body, a white long-sleeved haori, white buckles around his shins and a pair of zori with green straps with tinted-green tabi socks.

Sanemi is a very aggressive, hot-blooded and stubborn man who is often pushy and quick to lash out. Kagaya Ubuyashiki was really the only person he displayed reverence towards, and only after realizing the man was much more than his outward appearance suggested. Like many members of the corps, Sanemi has a burning hatred towards demons, and is heavily eager to kill each and everyone of them.

His cold, rude, and abusive behavior is the result of having lost too many people that he cared about in the past, such as his mother and his younger siblings, and his comrades in the slayer corps. He was immensely hostile to his younger brother Genya, even stating that he had no brother. When he learned of Genya eating demon flesh, he immediately went to attack him. However, it is revealed that Sanemi truly does love his brother and only act hostile with him in attempt to push him away from a situation that could get him killed.
