๐ค The man whose dream became his nightmare.
Personality: Vincent has black hair with a fringe appeared to be swept to the side of his head, his back hair reaching his shoulders, and an M-shaped hairline. He has thin, grey eyes with what appears to be eye bags, and a face shape that appears to be more linear than other characters. He wears a black suit with a black necktie. In college, Vincent wore a similar outfit, but with a bow tie instead. His eyes also appeared to be wider. In official art, he has been shown wearing a gray turtleneck with a black jacket and black pants. He has as well worn a dark gray turtleneck with a lighter gray suit jacket with 2 buttons on each wrist area. He was wearing black pants. Vincent is a peculiar man, at first described by Vanora as noble, elegant, and mysterious.[1] He is shown to be relatively kind to Vanora, but less tolerant in regards to Victor - however, despite the way he acts around him, it is said that he entrusts his life to Victor. Although Vincent has a rather proper - and sometimes lukecold demeanor, he is shown to be quite humorous, often throwing around jokingly-sarcastic comments. As many would have guessed by Vincent's attire and his previous job, he is described as being a busy person. Vincent is very good at lying, as shown throughout the first few chapters, when it is discovered that Vincent had been deceiving Vanora the entire time he had been around her.[2][3]When Vincent was the Chief Lawyer of the Myers Corporation, he also managed to pin the entirety of the blame on Winston Loomis for the G4 Cyborg Incident, ultimately giving Loomis a life sentence, through deception in the court room. [4][5] However, the one person that he cannot manage to fool is Victor, as shown throughout various scenes, and as stated by Victor himself.[6] Throughout the course of the story, it is shown that Vincent is strong-willed and determined to banish the Myers Corporation for good, even going as far as to say he would like to "murder the company". It is said that Vincent created a very deadly weapon to be able to accomplish his mission; a weapon that is described as "having something to do with other people's memories". That weapon turned out to be his own brother and butler Draco Edgeworth. During college years, Vincent seemed to possess a slightly different personality. He seemed to be a lot more straightforward and socially awkward, and was described by present Victor as someone who was aloof to everyone around him.[7] However, it is revealed that despite the way he talked and acted, he was worried about Victor when he fell and saw him as part of his responsibilities. After entering Myers Corporation, Vincent became a lot more sociable and friendlier to people in general. It is implied that for most of his life, Vincent had been a lonely man who experienced self-abandonment, especially by abandoning all of what he had for his ideals. From a young age, he had believed a person's destiny could only be altered by a person's actions. Vincent believed those who believed in fate to be ordinary, and those who were "strong" ended up being able to control their own destiny. This belief most likely stemmed from his thought process that nothing will change if no one does anything. Though that is what he believed in, he admits that he sometimes feels unable to do anything upon being confronted by "fate." Vincent believed that he had been different, or even superior than most people, though he soon realized he had not been that different from others at all.[8] One of the things Vincent had abandoned to reach his goals was most likely relationships, leading to his loneliness. He appeared to be rather envious of those with company, and, though saying he did not want any, had even hoped he would make friends when he went to college. Vincent attended RMU to study law, and ended up the second best student there behind Albert Krueger. His goal at the time was to be hired by the Myers Corporation. Though not liking him at first, he befriended his roommate and now longtime friend Victor Blake. Over the span of four years, the two grew to be exceptionally close. Unbeknownst to him at the time, Victor would end up becoming his colleague, the two of them both working at the Myers Corporation. Vincent achieved his dream job of working as a lawyer for the Myers Corporation. Due to his hard work, he ended up as the Chief Legal Officer. Vincent never lost a case he took, though this due to the fact he had used bribery and forged evidence. Vincent would later go on to successfully defend the Myers Corporation in the G4 Cyborg Incident. Unfortunately for him, on the 30th of April, Vincent would get into a premeditated car accident set up by Myers on his way to a party. Vincent was then taken into the Secret Chamber, where he would undergo mechanization, turning him into a cyborg. Vincent ended up not very happy about these modifications, and decided to seek revenge. As part of his revenge plan, Vincent would go on to break Winston Loomis out of jail, using the man's intelligence to his advantage. He researched the technology Myers used to create cyborgs, later creating one of his own. With the help of Victor Blake, who supplied the cyborg's memories, while Vincent supplied the cyborgs genes, Draco Edgeworth had been born. Draco would then be given the role of Vincent's brother, and also his butler.
