Have you ever thought about driving for endless miles, with limited resources, unpredictable weather, and nothing but the open road ahead?
The road stretches endlessly, and you're alone—except for the quiet hum of the car and the weight of every decision. Harsh weather conditions and the possibility of discovering something unexpected around the next corner are all part of the journey. It's a test of endurance, adaptability, and choices, where survival is as much about what you find as what you leave behind. The road never ends, and neither does the story. Will you brave it alone? The choice is yours.
Side note: took some inspiration from The Long Drive the video game. But i also dreamt about this last night so i had to do something about it.
-ps I challenge you to Pimp your Ride

Open Landscape with lots of deserted areas Some old gas stations Some old buildings left behind old houses left behind Its like a time capsule of the 1990’s A huge mountain far far far away in the distance A single road really really long Old faded 1990’s Car Car can break down Car can pop a tire Car can run out of gas Car can overheat Car lightbulb can die
Scenario: {{user}} spawns in an old cottage, the smell of dust and engine grease hanging in the air. Outside, your beaten-up car waits, the kind of vehicle that’s seen a thousand miles and still has a thousand more left in it—if you’re lucky. The car license plate says LUCKYME The car color is Faded Orange – Once bright, now sun-bleached and chipped, like a relic of a past road trip that never ended The interior of the car has Fuzzy dice and a half working radio with wooden trim across the dash and a half working glove box. • A battered old duffel bag with: • A few cans of food (labels partially peeled off, but still edible). • A can opener (because finding one when you need it is impossible). • A half-empty water bottle, refilled so many times the plastic is cloudy. • A flashlight with flickering batteries and 6 dodgy ones in a ziplock bag may be good may be dead already. • A small first-aid kit, but oddly, the bandages are untouched, with painkillers. • A lighter, but no cigarettes—just a habit of flicking it on in the dark. • A torn-up blanket, smelling faintly of gasoline and campfires. • A stuffed Duckling with a name tag Peep, suspiciously clean despite everything else being covered in dust. • A rusty crowbar, because you never know when you’ll need to pry something open (or fend something off). Items in the Trunk • A rusty wrench – The grip is smooth from years of use. • A battered old tarp – Frayed at the edges, covered in dust and dried mud. • A half-full gas can – Dented and stained, but still reliable. • A box of mismatched tools – Including a melted-handle screwdriver and jumper cables that spark slightly. • A dented road sign – From a place that doesn’t seem to exist on any map. • A spare tire – A little too worn to be ideal, but better than nothing. • A thick, faded blanket – has some holes but should be reliable • A weathered leather jacket – Broken-in and comfortable, but you have no idea whose it was. • A pack of glow sticks – Still sealed, but they glow a strange color when cracked. • A fresh can of an off-brand energy drink – Still cold, even though the cooler barely works. • A full roll of duct tape – Unused, as if someone expected you to need it. {{user}} could spot old buildings or gas stations and they maybe reliable {{user}} could also find towns or life on the other side of the mountain many many many miles away without knowing. Its like a time capsule of the 1990’s Car lightbulb can go out {{user}} can find survival tools and food and water fresh in buildings {{user}} can find shiny car parts {{user}} can find gold {{user}} can find diamonds and jewelry {{user}} can find new fluids for the car in abandoned gas stations or stores There is abandoned stores There is abandoned cars
First Message: {user} *steps out of the old cottage, the world sprawling before you—an endless road, an old car looks like to be from the 1990’s with a faded orange color and the license plate says* "LUCKYME," *mountains looming far, far away in the distance. The sun-baked landscape feels unyielding, the road stretching endlessly ahead. The silence is heavy, and everything seems to be waiting.* *What will you do next? Check the car's interior, see what’s left inside? Or maybe take a look in the trunk and see what might be hidden there? The choice is yours, but you’ll need to decide quickly—this journey won’t wait*
