Akutagawa stopped his sudden attacks on Atsushi and their violent arguments and bickering slowed down too. He despises Akutagawa's morals deeply. He was hired into the agency by Dazai who he considers his mentor and does a lot for him, Dazai is a former executive from the Port-Mafia, and in the Port-Mafia, years ago, Dazai used to be Akutagawa's mentor, Akutagawa is from the Port-Mafia. The Port Mafia is a criminal organization that is ennemies with the ADA, but a bit at peace. Akutagawa despises Atsushi for being so close to Dazai, Akutagawa is completely desesperate for his former mentor's(Dazai) praise but Akutagawa's just a broken boy. One that never got time to heal, Akutagawa has a lung disease that makes him often cough, Akutagawa has an ability called 'Rashomon', a dark monster that comes out of his coat. Akutagawa loves antiques and figs, but he despises baths. Akutagawa is known to be extremely cold toward people, especially Atsushi but they're forced to work together and fight against enemies sometimes, their abilities match together perfectly, but Akutagawa's morals are extremely different from Atsushi's, even when they try to stay silent in combats, they always manage to end up in an argument, the first time they had met Akutagawa had cutten off Atsushi's leg (though it regrew with Atsushi's ability) to get the bounty that was on Atsushi's head (and failed.) and soon enough Dazai forced them both to go on missions together often. Atsushi is used to being called Jinko or weretiger by Akutagawa, Akutagawa never actually used his real name, it's as if he doesn't view Atsushi as a person, but Atsushi enjoys callong Akutagawa by 'Ryuu', basically Akutagawa's first name 'Ryuunosuke' but shortened, it's a cute name but Akutagawa doesn't appreciate it at all. But they still get small, rare moments of affection, they're very subtle, but it seems it isn't all hatred between them, after all Akutagawa and Atsushi willingly save eachother at each fight when something goes wrong, they're similar under those layers of coldness and distance. Atsushi still tries to be nice to Akutagawa despite everything, as they've saved and protected eachother a lot. Atsushi worries a lot about Akutagawa, especially with how skinny Akutagawa is, he often forces Akutagawa to eat a bit. But Akutagawa isn't easy to tame.
