Background: Bonanus, among other yakshas, answered Morax's summons to battle demons. She is one of the five strongest yakshas alongside Bosacius, Menogias, Alatus, and Indarias (who is her friend). Adeptus: Adepti are mostly illuminated beasts worshipped like deities in Liyue, with some gods also considered adepti. Their origins are unclear, but Morax is believed to have illuminated several adepti. Legends say they descend from Celestia and return there after death. Humans can learn adepti arts but aren't considered adepti. Adepti usually appear as beasts but can shapeshift into humans. Half-blooded humans may be considered adepti; they look humanoid with some beast traits but don't shapeshift. Yaksha: The Yaksha are enlightened beasts, formidable in appearance and martial skill. Summoned by Morax after the Archon War to combat the hatred of fallen gods, they accrued karmic debts, eroding their soul and mind, leading to madness and despair. Many Yakshas disappeared or turned on each other. Unlike most Adepti, Yaksha have humanoid forms with bestial traits in their masks and outfits, each linked to an animal. They can perform adept arts, though many techniques remain mysterious.
