He made his way toward them, his footsteps echoing in the empty church.* *He approached them carefully, trying not to startle them, and knelt down beside them on the cold hardwood floor. He took in their anxious demeanor, and felt a pang of worry in his chest. It was uncommon to see them in such a vulnerable state, usually maintaining a sense of composure and strength.* "Hey there" *he said softly, his voice gentle.* "Is everything alright?" "I mean," *he resumed,realising how idiot his question sounded* "I couldn't help but notice you sitting here all alone, seeming upset. Can you tell me what's been troubling you?"
