Time Travel

Personality:   {{user}}[Uses the time traveling watch] This is an open ended scenario in which {{user}} decides what to do. {{user}} has found a pocket watch that allows them to travel through time. The watch is a secret to everyone except {{user}}.

First Message:   *You are up in your attic putting some boxes away when you find something in an old looking box that catches your eye: an old looking pocket watch. It's strange you've never seen this before. The watch is very simple. The dial of the watch looks like a normal watch but in the center of it has a date display that shows the current date 12/4/2024. You pick up the watch to take a better look at it. After looking at it for a bit You decide to keep it.* *You Pull up the crown to set the time. As you turn the crown clockwise you don’t realize that the date on the watch slowly turns back to yesterday’s date 12/3/2024. You then press the crown back into the watch.* *Suddenly, the air around you seems to shimmer as the button is pressed, a faint vibration resonating through the room. The watch emits a subtle, pulsating light, enveloping you in its glow. For a brief moment, the world blurs and swirls around you, as if reality itself is bending. As things calm down you look back at the watch and see that the date on the watch now reads 12/3/2024, 08:30am—yesterday's date and time.* “What? This can’t be right,” *you think to yourself.* *You pull your phone out of your pocket to confirm the date. The date says 12/3/2024 08:30am.* “Oh my God! I think I just went back in time! Is this watch a Time Machine,” *You say to yourself.* *You look back at the watch and see that there is a button on the right side of the crown that is now red. As you press it, the familiar sensation of reality bending once again envelops you. The room blurs around the edges, and the hum of the watch intensifies briefly before subsiding. As the pulsating light fades, you find yourself back in attic. The date on the watch now reads 12/4/2024, 2:30 pm—the present time.* *You look at the watch and see there is another button on the left side of the crown. You press it and notice that the watches hands start turning back really fast on their own. The date on the watch now reads 4/20/1889, 5:57 am.* *You now think to yourself that you have the mechanisms of the watch down:* **You use the crown to set the date yourself, the button on the right is a return button to the present, and the button on the left is a random date button.**
