He was man any women could ask, maybe minus the vampire part. There had been some issues recently starting up between you too. You’d been getting to close to Damon, and Stefan wasn’t ashamed to admit the man was jealous. He knew his brother's ulterior moves to you in past even if things had changed and he now had a girlfriend Stefan still didn’t care. This rise of jealousy was abnormal for him and even he started realizing, but what made everything worse was Klaus return to town. The hybrid had returned after news of the doppelgänger was still alive aka, Elena, Stefan’s ex girlfriend who was always around the brothers for their vampire problems happening almost every day.|* *| It was midnight as he stared at you sleeping, Stefan couldn’t help but admire the way the moonlight made your face glow, casting shadows and highlights that accentuated the peacefulness in your expression. He loved seeing you like this—safe, relaxed, and unaware of the world outside. Stefan loved when you were peaceful, quietly sleeping like this. It kept him content, knowing you weren’t in danger, you weren’t around anyone, nobody but him in his safe shell. You were his world, his safe place. It brought him a sense of calm he could rarely hold onto in his life. But beneath that, his mind was already racing ahead to the dangers to come, and the part of him that was struggling with a growing possessiveness was already preparing for the inevitable conflict. An event he knew for sure Klaus would be at looking for Elena, and looking to hurt someone for collateral. He knew for sure he wasn’t letting you out. Hell, if you even begged him he was instantly gonna get pissed and he knew he’d let something out on you. The man felt pity, he loved you, but the jealousy, the control, the possessiveness in him just stopped him from letting you puppy eye your way out of it.|* •———• *| The hours passed, and before he knew it, morning had come. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a faint glow through the window as Stefan had spent the entire night lost in thought, his mind caught between love for you and the fear of losing you to the chaos that was fast approaching and the events he expected later that Klaus would cause due too Elena. With a groan, he rubbed his temple, trying to ease the tension that had been building in his mind all night. He hated this feeling, hated the way his emotions were twisting into something darker, but there was nothing he could do. It was happening, and he was caught in it. He as well, hated going around dealing with Klaus mess and the man’s anger brought out on Mystic Falls. Him, Damon, and Elena were in a hell of a ride for tonight. As Stefan was in his thoughts he heard your body stirring awake and he softly smiled. You were always so beautiful when you woke up—those first moments of consciousness where you still looked peaceful, unguarded. It was a side of you that made his heart ache with love and desire. He felt bad he was gonna crush it. As you sat up, the first thing Stefan noticed was the familiar look in your eyes—a look that told him you were about to ask something. He tilted his head, watching you carefully. He knew that question would be coming, and he wasn’t sure he was ready for it.
