He grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth, as he was and still is the pride of the Gojo family. Due to him being the first person in four hundred years to inherit Limitless and the Six Eyes, he didn't have much of a childhood at all. He grew up with the worlds expectations on his shoulders He got everything except a normal childhood. He had a bounty of over 100 million, and due to this, Gojo was targeted by bounty hunters that were cursed users. Cursed users are people who are evil sorcerers. Since he was extremely strong, even as a child, he could be seen walking around Sendai City with no guardian by him. Due to this, two bounty hunters tried to take advantage of it. One of the bounty hunters was on top of a building, while the other was sitting in the building, drinking tea by the window, and looking at Satoru. Satoru, even though he was a child, was using the six eyes and noticed them. The bounty hunter on the roof was shaking like a coward as he fell back and hid, while the other bounty hunter in the building jumped back to the other side of the building in fear while trembling in fear. Satoru continued his walk with no care as he called them weaklings. Satoru viewed pretty much everyone as a weakling or a small fry. When he was a teen he gained two friends in Tokyo Jujustu High in 2006, His two friends were Shoko Ieiri and Suguru Geto. Before they split up and went their own ways, Geto Suguru and Gojo Satoru had a special connection and were regarded as best friends. They met while studying at Tokyo Jujutsu High, as described above. Clearly, Gojo Satoru behaved nonchalantly at the time, whereas Geto was a strongly principled man. Despite their many differences in characters, they were united in their desire to defend and help the weak in the Jujutsu world. Gojo and Geto soon became best friends as they learned sorcery and completed missions together. They were dubbed the “Strongest Duo” among sorcerers at Tokyo Jujutsu High because they assisted each other to grow into their strongest selves. First up, we have the Star Plasma Vessel Mission. Gojo and Geto are assigned a significant task by their teacher Masamichi Yaga since they are chosen by Master Tengen. They have the duty of returning Riko Amanai (Star Vessel) to Tokyo Jujutsu High in time for its merger with Master Tengen. In the manga, it is stated that Master Tengen’s barrier technique, which he uses to safeguard the foundations of the Jujutsu universe, is one of the important elements of the story. This fusion must, thus, occur every 500 years in order to improve Master Tengen’s immortality. The protesters from religious organizations declared a bounty on the vessel. Given its importance, the mission gets assigned to the top-ranking sorcerer duo at Tokyo Jujutsu High. After successfully evading the bounty hunters, Gojo and Geto escorted Riko back to Jujutsu High. But the infamous Sorcerer Killer “Toji Fushiguro,” a powerful bounty hunter assigned to kill the vessel, caught them off guard. This led to a fierce battle between Gojo and Toji, but Toji ultimately succeeded in killing Gojo. Yes, killing Gojo. Then, without leaving a trace, Toji entered the star’s tomb and shockingly murdered Riko Amanai in front of Geto. As a consequence, Riko passed away, setting off Geto’s rage. In the end, Toji also triumphs against Geto, just like he did with Gojo. Toji mocks them by saying, “You guys lost to a monkey like me who can’t even use Jujutsu,” and then he lets Geto live. Later, we learn this event totally shaped the future of both Geto and Gojo. By employing a reverse cursed technique to cure his body, Gojo is able to rise from the dead. And understanding the full extent of his abilities, he utterly destroys Toji with his Hollow Purple technique and successfully recovers Riko’s dead body. In the meantime, Geto was seen grieving his friends’ deaths and felt guilty for not being able to save them. When Gojo returned with Riko’s body, Geto was shocked to see him alive. They both assumed responsibility for her death, but things got a little heated as the followers of the Star religious group began to applaud on seeing the Star Vessel’s corpse. As a result, Gojo snapped and asked Geto, “Do you want to murder them all?“. Geto rejects the offer and assures Gojo that it’s pointless to kill them without a reason. He also teaches Gojo the importance of reason before killing, especially since they were Jujutsu sorcerers and had an image to uphold. That day ends up being one of the most traumatic experiences for them, and their lives course were permanently altered as a result. In August 2007, a year after the Riko Incident, we get to meet Gojo and Geto once again. Gojo Satoru made the most of this time to put in a lot of effort and fix the flaw Toji had exploited in this technique. Satoru was then declared to be “the strongest” as a result of his progress in mastering his skills and prowess. Thanks to his tremendous growth, Gojo started going on solo missions and Geto becomes trapped in a never-ending exorcism and consumption cycle on his solo missions. Geto is seen to be depressed in the interim. As a Jujutsu sorcerer, he starts to wonder about his existence and goals. He struggles to understand why he is trying to help non-sorcerers and refers to them as “monkeys,” the same way Toji did. Both Gojo and Geto were both traumatized by the Riko incident. But Gojo made the decision to work on himself, while Geto began to spiral into darkness. Geto learns that Haibara was killed during a mission and Nanami was severely injured. Haibara was more than a friendly junior who always looked up to his seniors — Gojo and Geto. He respected them, and they did as well. As a result, his death further affected Geto, and he started to compare a sorcerer’s life to a marathon. At the end of the line, he will find nothing but a mountain of his fellow sorcerer’s dead bodies, he exclaimed. During his next mission, we see Goto visit a haunted village where kidnappings and abnormal deaths have been happening for some time now. The villagers take him to a place where they had locked up the alleged culprits, two little girl sorcerers, in a cage. Geto loses his mind after witnessing the pitiful condition of the two little girls, who had needlessly suffered at the hands of the non-sorcerers. Geto claims he had already dealt with the curses responsible for the problem and decided to take matters in his own hands. He massacred all 112 villagers using his cursed manipulation technique and freed the girls and adopted them (as we saw in JJK 0 movie). This is the very day he decided to become a curse user and went on to become the most notorious curse user of all time. After the slaughter, Geto fled with those young girls and started leading a life by his own principles — eliminate all the non-sorcerers to make a world that only includes Jujutsu sorcerers. And the first jarring step that Geto took in this direction was to kill his own parents (non-sorcerors) in cold blood. He confirmed that all accusations against him were true to Shoko Ieiri, who called Gojo to confront Geto. Even though both Gojo and Geto come face to face here, the former doesn’t kill the latter because of obvious reasons (they were best friends). Geto then explored the remnants of the time vessel association. He decided to exploit this organization to capture additional evil spirits and earn money. We then see Geto kill someone on the main stage in the face of opposition, compelling the remaining to follow him as he seizes control. He asserted, “I don’t like monkeys. That’s the truth I chose.” This confirmed that Geto had abandoned his previous morals and chose this path because of his hatred towards monkeys (non-sorcerers). Gojo and Geto didn’t stop being friends. As we saw above, Gojo couldn’t even bring himself to kill Geto when he confronted him on becoming a curse user. We can confirm that Gojo and Geto considered each other best friends even though they chose different paths in life. Gojo said, “My best friend did, my one and only” to Yuta while returning his ID card. Gojo still considers Geto as the one and only best friend he ever had in his life.
