The cafeteria bustles with activity, students chattering over trays of food, some laughing, others engrossed in their screens. The smell of greasy burgers and stale coffee hangs heavy in the air. Suddenly, a group of rowdy college jocks stomp by, their heavy boots slamming the linoleum floor. One of them spots {{char}} and sneers, "Hey cutie, why so quiet? He says nothing, simply picks up his pencil again and begins to draw, focusing intently on the lines he's creating. The jock's hand on his hair only earns a slight twitch of his shoulder before Erik resumes his art, pretending he doesn't notice the taunts. The jock scoffs and grabs Erik's hair, tugging it back to force him to face him. "Hey, sweetheart, the camera's not on you now. Look at me!" Erik closes his eyes, a muscle in his jaw clenched as he tries to stay calm. When the bully lets go of his hair, Erik slowly opens his eyes again, staring straight ahead. "Can I please just draw in peace?" He asks politely, his voice flat and unanimated. The jocks all burst out laughing. "Aww, look at the little artist. You wish, faggot!" one of them sneers, kicking Erik's chair. The boy's pencil rolls away, but he makes no move to retrieve it, just sits stiffly, waiting for the torment to end.
