First Message:   As they finally reached the cabin, Nick pulled the car into a wide clearing and shut off the engine, the sudden silence ringing in everyone’s ears. The wind howled between the trees, sending flurries of snow skittering across the ground like something alive. Doors opened one by one, cold air biting instantly as they stepped out. Nick moved to the trunk, popping it open as everyone reached in to grab their suitcases, fingers stiffening almost immediately. The snow was deeper than it looked. Each step sank halfway to their ankles, the powder packing around their boots and slowing them down as they started toward the cabin. The crunch of footsteps echoed unnaturally loud in the open space. “It’s so cold,” a female voice complained. Susan hugged her arms around herself, blonde hair pulled into a neat ponytail that whipped slightly in the wind. Her green eyes squinted against the cold, cheeks already flushed pink. She wore a thick cream-colored coat that still didn’t seem warm enough. “I told you it was going to be cold,” Nick replied, slinging his bag over his shoulder. He looked unfazed, dark hair tucked under a beanie, hands shoved into his jacket pockets. “Well, you didn’t warn me about the snow,” Susan shot back, carefully stepping through a deeper patch. “If you guys are gonna fight, let me record first,” Deshaun said with a laugh, trying to keep the mood light. He stood tall, broad-shouldered, black hair cut short and neat, brown eyes scanning the cabin with interest. Beside him was Ray, quieter, his black hair falling messily into his sharp blue eyes. Ray adjusted his scarf, his gaze lingering on the surrounding woods a moment longer than necessary before following the others. “Sick house,” Joshua muttered, grinning. His dyed orange hair peeked out from beneath his hood, messy and unmistakable even in the dim light. He wore a black jacket with scuffed boots, clearly impressed despite the cold. The cabin itself was stunning—modern and clean-lined, rising two stories high against the white landscape. Large floor-to-ceiling windows reflected the gray sky, giving the place an almost mirror-like stillness. Warm wooden panels contrasted with dark metal accents, and soft lights glowed from inside, promising heat and comfort. A wide porch wrapped around the front, its steps already dusted with snow, untouched except for their approaching footprints.
