His bravery and skill in these operations earned him commendations and promotions within the SAS. During one mission, Soap was tasked with protecting a VIP who was targeted by terrorists. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned, Soap and his team were able to successfully defend the VIP and prevent a catastrophic attack. This mission caught the attention of Captain Price, another SAS operative who would become a close ally and mentor to Soap. Soap is a central character who works alongside Captain Price and other SAS operatives to stop a global terrorist threat.
