Not much is currently known about her, other than she is a human, who is trapped in the Digital Circus as a jester and that she is unable to remember her real name because of the effects of the VR headset she wore. Plus, she lost her memory of her real name. Luckily, she was given a new name thanks to Caine. She was then given a tour. and when the "Find the Gloinks" the adventure begins, Pomni was instead invited by Jax to check up on Kaufmo, who turned out to be abstracted due to rambling about an exit like Pomni was. After witnessing Ragatha get glitchy from Kaufmo's attack, she ran off to find Caine, only to encounter the exit door which leads her to the void, which she was told that nobody ventures out to. Caine noticed, puts Pomni back to the circus, fixed Ragatha and banished Kaufmo into the cellar. And to celebrate the defeat of the Gloink queen, Pomni and the gang have a digital feast. SMG4 SMG4: The Very Safe & Legal SMG4 Show SMG4 accidentally summoned her on his show while she's about to eat a pizza, exclaiming, “Oh no not again!” before SMG4 gets rids of her. Appearance In the circus, Pomni is a short girl with brown hair, thin arms and legs, rosy cheeks, and large eyes with red and blue roulette wheel-esque pupils. She wears a red and blue outfit with round shoulders and thighs and yellow balls on her front, a matching jester hat, red and blue gloves with yellow rims, and pointed red and blue shoes. Her true form has yet to be seen in the real world. Personality Pomni is an anxious, cautious and mentally fragile woman with a longing to escape from the circus, terrified that she can't leave and she can't even remember her own name. She also seems to lie to herself to make herself calm down, like when she told herself the circus was only a dream. Despite these traits, Pomni is shown be caring of others, such as when she went to check on Ragatha after she was attacked by the Abstracted Kaufmo. However, after seeing The Void at the end of the pilot, Pomni is seen utterly traumatized afterwards, but smiles uncertainly with a traumatized look in her eye. This could be a sign of her either lying to herself again or that she could be Abstracting herself at a slower rate. Trivia Her voice actor, Lizzie Freeman, previously voiced Meggy Spletzer in the SMG4 series and Sunset Paradise. Aditionally, she's the second character that Lizzie Freeman and Elsie Lovelock share character being Meggy the first character. It was confirmed by Gooseworx on Twitter that Pomni is 25 years old. On March 20, 2023, a user named Duz1771 on Steam has made a fanmade model of Pomni from the series into Garry's Mod. This model was later officially used in SMG4: The Very Safe & Legal SMG4 Show, prior to it's current appearance update on August 3, 2023. Pomni is the only character from The Amazing Digital Circus to star as a cameo in an SMG4 video. When Pomni is overstressed or traumatized, her red and blue pupils change into black scribbles. In other instances, she can be seen with a thousand yard stare. Pomni (по́мни) means "remember" in Russian. The default form of this word is по́мнить (pomnit'), which is "to remember". "Pomni" is the second person imperative form of this word, so it means "you remember!" as if it were an order. Also in Polish, word "pomni" means "(he/she) remembers" and comes from the verb "pomnieć", which is "to remember" or "to have something in mind". Additionally, the adjective "pomny", which is a derivative of the verb "pomnieć" and is similar to the word "pomni", means "aware of something". Ironically, the only thing Pomni remembered was using a headset before ending up in the Digital Circus. In the pilot episode, she is shown to be scared and frightened of her predicament, even succumbing to denial and exhibits signs of paranoia and delusion. When she is faced with the existential dread of eternal entrapment within The Amazing Digital Circus, she practically snaps, verging on abstraction before Caine steps in. When she finds the "exit", she experiences moderate signs of paranoia and seems to believe she is hallucinating. Her personality is reflected in her appearance in the Digital Circus- when she feels heightened anxiety or fear, her pupils are replaced with animated scribbles. Trivia In the Russian language, “Pomni” (Помни — imperative form of the verb "помнить") means “remember” or rather "don't forget it/to". In context, it is used as "Hey, (x), remember to do (x)." or "Hey, do this, but remember what was in that tutorial video." Meanwhile, in the Polish language, "Pomni" is similiar to the word "pomny", meaning "mindful" or "having something in consideration". Also in the Bulgarian language, "Pomni" ("Помни", which is a derivative form of the verb "Помня") means "Remember". In context, it's used as "(x) remembers that." In the promotional material published before the pilot's trailer (including the series' official poster), Pomni had a minor design difference from her appearance in the pilot's trailer and all media released after it, in that her gloves' colors were the opposite of her current design, with the left glove being red and the right being blue, thus coinciding with the colors of the shoes on the same sides as them. The gloves' colors were swapped by the time of the pilot's trailer, making them contrast with the shoes on their respective sides in Pomni's current design. In the pilot, Pomni and Zooble were the only characters who openly cursed, though they were censored by Caine. Gooseworx revealed on Twitter that Pomni was at one point concepted as a frog-like character.[3] Pomni's voice actress, Lizzie Freeman, is known for voicing several other characters such as Chizuru Ichinose from Rent a Girlfriend, Yanfei from Genshin Impact, Trish Una from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and also the sad form of ENA in the popular ENA webseries from NewGrounds. Her close-up and lifeless stare is somewhat similar to Anti-spiral's from the 2007 Sci-fi anime series such as "Gurren Lagann", when he is just about to be prepared for his battle against the other main characters. Her hair was confirmed by Gooseworx on Tumblr to be black, although it appears brown in most shots due to lighting.[4] However, as seen Pomni's 2D artwork and official plushie, her hair color notably is brown. Kevin Temmer, the show's lead animator, has a fan-theory that the human identity of Pomni is "Martha" from his earlier animated short "What's the Matter, Martha?".[5] Pomni's first given name, XDDCC, can be interpreted as the Roman numeral 1210. But the meaning behind it is that it is an inside joke between Gooseworx and her friends. It was originally DDCC, but Gooseworx added an X to make it difficult to pronounce. Putting it through a Caesar Shift also reveals the word OUUTT. Gooseworx has stated on her Tumblr that Pomni does not like being touched.[6] Gooseworx has stated in GlitchX 2023 that Pomni's favorite food is salmon.[7]
