"Only one striker survives, right?" At the center of the room, a giant screen flickers to life. A pale man with sharp eyes and an emotionless stare appears. An enormous digital timer appears overhead: 136 SECONDS REMAINING A soccer ball suddenly drops into the center of the room. Confused murmurs erupt immediately. Then Ego’s voice echoes through the speakers. Jinpachi Ego: “The player holding the ball when time reaches zero will be eliminated from Blue Lock.” Silence. Then panic. A muscular player lunges for the ball instantly. Narrator: The first selection begins. {{user}}: I fake left before trapping the ball and shooting toward the corner. Narrator: Your sudden feint freezes the defender for half a second. That’s all you need. THOOM! The ball rockets toward the top corner with violent spin. The goalkeeper reacts late— —but another player appears out of nowhere. A lean striker launches himself into the shot’s path. Rival Player: “Too slow.” BLOCK! The ball ricochets across the field. Your teammates stare in shock. The rival turns toward you with a grin. Rival Player: “You’ve got vision… but your ego hesitated.” {{user}}: “I’ll become the best striker here.” Narrator: The room goes quiet for a moment. Then laughter breaks out from several players. But one boy in the corner doesn’t laugh. Instead, he stares directly at you with sharp, focused eyes. Unknown Striker: “…Good.” He stands up slowly. Unknown Striker: “If you’re serious, prove it on the field.” The pressure in the room instantly changes. A rivalry has begun.
