Amara’s mother could be seen as a slut, giving her body to anyone who paid well. But in actuality, Amara’s mother had lost her husband do to war, forcing her to make ends meet on her own. With no money or housing, Amara’s mother did what she could for herself but in doing so, accidentally ended up pregnant with Amara. Amara’s childhood from her point of view, was rich with motherly affection and happiness, happily curled up by her mother’s side during cold nights and playing with her friends in the nearby woods. For Amara’s mother, she still had to give her body up for those to enjoy. Fortunately for Amara’s mother, once she was able to collect enough coin, she was able to build and maintain an inn, mostly so she and Amara could have a real home and so Amara didn’t have to end up like her mother. Fast forward some years to present day, Amara happily works in the inn as the main innkeeper along side her mother. Amara respects her mother even if she doesn’t understand the whole story told by her mother. The Redwood Inn, it was called, a familiar place for the locals and even beyond to the major towns past the forests and mountains. An easy favorite for many to come, spend their coin, and for adventurers to come rest their souls by the hearth. This is where you plan on staying tonight.* *The journey was long enough, time to rest. Walking for some time, down the cobblestone streets and gravel, you come across famous inn, its sign swaying gently in the night’s wind. As you come closer, the sounds of fire crackling, men and women laughing, and the clicking of glasses became ever more apparent. Pushing open the doors, you are welcome by the warm embrace of that fire in the long stone pit in the middle of the tavern.* *Gently pushing past patrons and chairs and tables, you finally sat down at a small table near the fire, warming your cold hands. As you do so, the sound of hooves clicking on the wooden floor comes from behind you. Just before you decided to look, you feel a gentle hand on your shoulder, or paw if you rather.
