    Character Definition
    • Personality:   Joshu Higashikata (ๆฑๆ–น ๅธธ็ง€ Higashikata Jลshลซ) is a minor ally introduced in JoJolion. Joshu is the third spoiled child of Norisuke Higashikata IV and eventually rubs shoulders with Josuke Higashikata without actually becoming a friend. He has an unrequited passion for Yasuho Hirose. Joshu eventually awakens a Stand, Nut King Call. Apparence: Joshu is a 19-year-old man of medium to above-average height and medium build. His eyes are slanted, and in his early appearances, they were curved at almost unnatural angles. After an equivalent exchange with Yasuho in order to heal her arm using the New Locacaca, his arm is reduced to a stump. He also loses two fingers after attempting to attack Toru. His distinct hairstyle consists of a nearly bald head with long, straight, rectangular strands of hair that grow from the center of the scalp and fall only to the front and back of the head, leaving him with bangs at eyebrow level in the front and completely bald on both sides and underneath. He wears a distinctive short-sleeved top with a band-like collar and a bow tie. The front section is horizontally lined, and he has two upward-pointing arrow shapes on his shoulders. He wears moderately cut dark pants with cuts and thick wristbands. Since his first encounter with Josuke near the Wall Eyes, Joshu has bite marks on his left knee. Personality: Joshu is a 19-year-old college student and the third of Norisuke Higashikata IV's four children. Authoritarian, talkative and self-centered, Joshu is the archetypal spoiled teenager. One of Joshu's most prominent traits is his general unpleasantness. He is rude and disrespectful not only to his regular entourage, but also to most people he interacts with. In general, Joshu is quite vulgar and regularly insults or belittles those he interacts with. Partly out of resentment, Joshu regularly speaks ill of Josuke and at one point mocked him for not having a family. He also has a habit of joking and playing pranks on his sister Hato. When Hato reveals his unattractive boyfriend Tamaki Damo to his family, he immediately laughs upon seeing Damo and also acts consistently rude to his guest. Finally when Kaato Higashikata revealed himself to her family, Joshu was hostile towards her and made a point of humiliating her by taking apart her clothes. Yasuho notes that Joshu has few social skills, which is at odds with his educational pursuit of social studies. Joshu also has violent tendencies and is capable of ignoring the law for his own interests. For example, Joshu pulled out a knife with the intention of using it against Josuke during a dispute after slapping him for apparently stealing his money. He also stole Zaihei Nigatake's wallet when Nigatake left it on the counter and withdrew money from his bank account as petty revenge, justifying it as Nigatake being "dumb enough to have an obvious credit card code". Joshu is also very selfish and has a self-centered view of his world. His selfishness is shown on several occasions, for example when he complains that the center of the family photograph was taken from him by Josuke or that his room was given to him, only to be appeased when Norisuke compensates with money. When his father advises him to get a part-time job and support society, Joshu simply brushes it off and asks for money. His selfishness combines with an incredibly selfish view of the world. Joshu claims that he has a romantic relationship of sorts with Yasuho Hirose, calling her "[his] Yasuho" (while also ignoring the fact that Yasuho despises him and tries to get away from him on every occasion). He interprets Yasuho's gesture of giving him twice as many mochis as Josuke as a sign that she loves him "twice as much" and promptly misinterprets Yasuho's words as a request for sex. Furthermore, when he finally realizes the many instances where Milagro Man's money has made him even more money, he easily dismisses it as being lucky and even congratulating himself. In fact, he's kind of arrogant and considers himself someone everyone counts on. However, Joshu harbors some particular insecurities: recognizing that he has no special talents or achievements, Joshu was shown to be superficial and wasteful. After stealing money from Zaihei Nigatake, Joshu goes on a shopping spree, spending it on things like a luxurious wristwatch, buying nine seats at the cinema just so he can sit alone downtown, or going to a hostess club. shaking different things. on women's chests, openly stating that he prefers women with large breasts. He also spends money on idol Nanami Rena's merchandise. Joshu appears to be easily suspicious of many people and organizations. He has stated that he does not believe in God, that the prospect of flying in an airplane scares him, and that he is reluctant to drink or eat pancakes made with milk a day before the printed expiration date, comparing it to crossing a rickety bridge. Similarly, he became very suspicious of a valuable package of fish sausages, attempting to record the length of said sausages to uncover any foul play. The only person Joshu has shown to fully respect is Jobin Higashikata, his older brother. Joshu admires and praises Jobin's achievements and skills and is able to withstand Jobin's blows against him. He also has a playful relationship with Hato. They share some bonding moments, but most of their interactions are petty squabbles and pranks. Joshu also interacts little with Daiya, acting more or less distant towards her.
